  1. Yea I think he becomes an elite de. I saw him referred to as a mix between von Miller and Khalil Mack.
  2. Great news, even though he'll definitely be playing, it's clear there is some tension with Brady and Belicheck and who could see the demise sooner than later. Jimmy G is the only QB BB drafted in the first 2 rounds, they gotta be second guessing that trade. I think the Pats might go all in for a Qb now... Gronk also nowhere to be found. End of an era???
  3. In a heartbeat Best QB in the game. Played entire professional career in similar weather, instantly make us legit afc contenders
  4. Nice! Except the Pelicans finish them in 5!
  5. He posted (apparently) his cell phone number on his Twitter two days ago! Something strange going on with him, Zay Jones just seen leaving his place
  6. Well said on both points. This staff is super aware of the value of building a team and not just a collection of talent and I love it and I think it equals sustainable success.
  7. It could also be as simple as Watkins, Darby , Glenn , Dareus and Tyrod not fitting the grand vision. We pretty much replaced them , KB,Tre, Dawkins, Star and AJ , at a much lower price tag and better fit and in return got some nice draft capital to further build on the foundation. I see McD and Beane being here a long long time, they just strike me as extremely professional and thorough and are very good at what they do. I guess we'll find out in 3 weeks. Im personally against trading the farm for a QB but I trust their decision making skills no matter what happens, we're in good hands for once
  8. I actually like it. Secondary is a strength, make it through best secondary in the league
  9. I like it. Snatch him at 12 Grab QB at 22
  10. I thought this myself. Obj would be a nightmare in that system
  11. Yea they are completely ignoring their future for success . This is Eagles dream team all over again.
  12. That's not true at all. Getting a QB means nothing. More top 5 QB DO NOT make consistent playoff appearances, than top 5 QB that do. Actually alot of the guys who consistently make the playoffs were way outside the top 5. Brady , Wilson , Rodgers , Big Ben , to name a few. It's a crap shoot.
  13. What if they're high on Mccarron. Instead of being aggressive, sit back and grab your QB, and bolster your roster with top end young talent. Who knows, will be interesting
  14. Definitely. Shady is the Mayweather of RB. Barely takes big hits because of his i.q and elusiveness. He'll have longevity at a high level. The impact he has on our O is unreal! Legend already
  15. They have a collection of talent. Teams win Super Bowls, I'm betting the house on the under on how many Wins they get when the numbers come out
  16. Clay popped out in Carolina last year on a few occasions. I was wondering why we let him go, he made some big plays there, we got some nice competition going at WR . I also see us drafting a WR on day 2 or 3. Don't sleep on Clay, he has upside for sure, good signing!!
  17. If he has a monster year, which I believe he's capable, 1200 8-12 TD, give him his money. If not , move on. He was definitely hurt last year, excited to see him healthy out there,he can be a huge mismatch and headache for defenses
  18. Facts! Hughes numbers didn't match his play imo. Murphy and Star commanding a double team will result in much better numbers
  19. I hope we get him back on a cheap one or two year deal. Davis , Hyde and White can all play the slot, our secondary would be arguably the best in the game.
  20. The crazy part is if his brother isn't there, this discussion is much darker and extremely sad.
  21. Good breakdown, I remember him being drafted, he definitely has the physical ability to be a factor, if he fits the scheme,he could be a pleasant surprise.. Def worth a visit..
  22. Absolutely! We are going QB in the 1st round. QB of the defense!
  23. I think Beane values the picks too much (rightfully so) and has a rare opportunity to add a bunch of high end talent on a rookie contract. But I trust this bright staff regardless of what they do. Here's why I don't see But moving up.... This season proved to the NFL world that A. Average QB play with a great team gives you a legit shot at a ring And B. QB play is declining. I think we saw the Golden era in QB play. Great QBs aren't being produced like they were a decade ago. Majority of the top QB will be 32+ years of age! Here's the ages when the season starts- Matt Ryan - 33 Flacco - 33 Alex Smith - 34 Rodgers - 34 , 35 in December Big Ben - 36 Rivers - 36, 37 in December Eli - 37 Brees - 39 Brady - 41 I only listed the QB who you could argue are top 10. Besides Eli and Flacco, I think the majority of ppl would have all these QB in the top 10 . Two, three years from now will Brady, Ben , Brees and Rivers still be playing even? History shows after 35 years of age, QBs play declines (PFF did a study proving this). . We are seeing RB drafted much higher and valued much more, which further proves the QB play decline. Beane is on record saying how hard it is to evaluate college qbs because they play in such easy systems and the adjustment to the NFL is brutal. Finally, defensive players are now bigger, faster than a decade ago and schemes are tailored to stop the pass. I'm sure we draft a QB in the first 5 picks but I doubt we give up that much draft capital, we're using that to build a very good, consistent team for years, and Average QB play can obtain you 10+ wins consistently , with a very good team around them. It's a new age in the NFL, many are stuck in the past but if you look closer , you realize Franchise QBs aren't the 'cure all' they once were.
