  1. I actually like it. Secondary is a strength, make it through best secondary in the league
  2. I like it. Snatch him at 12 Grab QB at 22
  3. I thought this myself. Obj would be a nightmare in that system
  4. Yea they are completely ignoring their future for success . This is Eagles dream team all over again.
  5. That's not true at all. Getting a QB means nothing. More top 5 QB DO NOT make consistent playoff appearances, than top 5 QB that do. Actually alot of the guys who consistently make the playoffs were way outside the top 5. Brady , Wilson , Rodgers , Big Ben , to name a few. It's a crap shoot.
  6. What if they're high on Mccarron. Instead of being aggressive, sit back and grab your QB, and bolster your roster with top end young talent. Who knows, will be interesting
  7. Definitely. Shady is the Mayweather of RB. Barely takes big hits because of his i.q and elusiveness. He'll have longevity at a high level. The impact he has on our O is unreal! Legend already
  8. They have a collection of talent. Teams win Super Bowls, I'm betting the house on the under on how many Wins they get when the numbers come out
  9. Clay popped out in Carolina last year on a few occasions. I was wondering why we let him go, he made some big plays there, we got some nice competition going at WR . I also see us drafting a WR on day 2 or 3. Don't sleep on Clay, he has upside for sure, good signing!!
  10. If he has a monster year, which I believe he's capable, 1200 8-12 TD, give him his money. If not , move on. He was definitely hurt last year, excited to see him healthy out there,he can be a huge mismatch and headache for defenses
  11. Facts! Hughes numbers didn't match his play imo. Murphy and Star commanding a double team will result in much better numbers
  12. I hope we get him back on a cheap one or two year deal. Davis , Hyde and White can all play the slot, our secondary would be arguably the best in the game.
  13. The crazy part is if his brother isn't there, this discussion is much darker and extremely sad.
  14. Good breakdown, I remember him being drafted, he definitely has the physical ability to be a factor, if he fits the scheme,he could be a pleasant surprise.. Def worth a visit..
  15. Absolutely! We are going QB in the 1st round. QB of the defense!
  16. I think Beane values the picks too much (rightfully so) and has a rare opportunity to add a bunch of high end talent on a rookie contract. But I trust this bright staff regardless of what they do. Here's why I don't see But moving up.... This season proved to the NFL world that A. Average QB play with a great team gives you a legit shot at a ring And B. QB play is declining. I think we saw the Golden era in QB play. Great QBs aren't being produced like they were a decade ago. Majority of the top QB will be 32+ years of age! Here's the ages when the season starts- Matt Ryan - 33 Flacco - 33 Alex Smith - 34 Rodgers - 34 , 35 in December Big Ben - 36 Rivers - 36, 37 in December Eli - 37 Brees - 39 Brady - 41 I only listed the QB who you could argue are top 10. Besides Eli and Flacco, I think the majority of ppl would have all these QB in the top 10 . Two, three years from now will Brady, Ben , Brees and Rivers still be playing even? History shows after 35 years of age, QBs play declines (PFF did a study proving this). . We are seeing RB drafted much higher and valued much more, which further proves the QB play decline. Beane is on record saying how hard it is to evaluate college qbs because they play in such easy systems and the adjustment to the NFL is brutal. Finally, defensive players are now bigger, faster than a decade ago and schemes are tailored to stop the pass. I'm sure we draft a QB in the first 5 picks but I doubt we give up that much draft capital, we're using that to build a very good, consistent team for years, and Average QB play can obtain you 10+ wins consistently , with a very good team around them. It's a new age in the NFL, many are stuck in the past but if you look closer , you realize Franchise QBs aren't the 'cure all' they once were.
  17. I agree. I feel they draft mlb very high. Milano ,Lorax (though I know he will be playing DE more) are the only guys who have contributed. Vallejo(drafted last year), Lacey, Stanford I believe are the only other LB currently on roster, hopefully they see upside in a couple of those guys. I anticipate a MLB in Rd 1 or 2 and outside LB in the middle of draft. But Preston and Humber (likely) are the only losses at LB , and the improved DL will definitely make the LB corps job much easier, and they played fairly well last year, so I'm not too concerned with our lack of talent at LB.
  18. I can get on board with everything Bills related. I'm not knowledgeable enough on cfb players to even post a mock but I definitely like the idea of sitting back or moving up to a spot that doesn't deplete all our draft capital, if it means drafting a highly coveted player. My whole stance on QB is that you can ask 10 different members who have CFB knowledge and a case can be made for all of the big 5. I'm sure it's the same if you ask GM's and scouts,so I just don't see the justification in throwing away such quality draft capital when we can sit back , still get a QB , plus add 4-6 top 100 prospects. That's a recipe for short n long term success imo. Not blowing your load on one player who has just as many question marks as the next QB, that doesn't equate to consistent success , or the team this young, bright staff has envisioned for the Bills.
  19. My feelings exactly. Well said. Bolster this roster, it's not every year you have a shot at 5 top 65 prospects, 6 top 100. A great draft and we are instantly set up for a future of consistentcy. Can't throw that all away on a question mark at QB.
  20. Finally some ppl coming out of the woodwork to state these QB facts and stop this nonsense about trading away premium draft capital for one player who even if he has great numbers, probably fails because the team around him is not that good. We are in perfect position to build a great TEAM. Why ppl want to throw that away is beyond me. Add Stafford to your list. Has he ever won a playoff game? Without looking,he might have 1 playoff victory. More recently- Winston,Mariota, Carr , 1 combined playoff appearance, 0 wins. Great teams win nowadays. Foles Bortles Keenum had their teams a win away from a SB title , the NFL is changing folks.
  21. Thank you for this! I've been saying this exact same sentiment. Plus , it's year 2 of the regime, they've had massive roster turnover. This is a great opportunity for the Bills to further lay the foundation of the roster they envisioned. Beane says 2 things consistently- he wants a consistent winner and you do that by building through the draft. Well ,Mr Beane has the opportunity to do both those things. Ppl on here are treating draft picks like they grow on trees! Our GM values those picks and I'd be shocked if he threw away so many picks. I'd rather have average QB play and a great overall roster, than very good QB play with a Swiss cheese roster. You win in today's NFL by building great TEAMS, not collection of talent.
  22. I hate draft time. 99% of ppl will be wrong and after the draft, never spoken of again. So many armchair GM's banging the table for the QB they like when in reality 1-2 of the total qbs taken (Rds 1-7) might be very good, and the rest will be anywhere from backups to Fringe starters, to out of the league.. Thank God we have a competent GM that isn't going to throw away precious draft capital to move up ,when he could stay put and have the same chances at finding a very good QB .
  23. Really working for Stafford, Rivers, Carr , Winston, Mariota . I can keep going. How many playoff wins between those franchise QB????? How many appearances???? I thought the objective was to WIN, not be able to throw for 4000 yards and Lose. The game is changing. QB play is declining. Average QB can win a SB.
  24. I think Zay bounces back nicely. Had the shoulder issue. RG and RT aren't holes. We have guys capable of starting and playing at a high level. MLB is def a hole I hope we get in Rd 1. Olb will be addressed in draft. I like how we showed up the DL though. That unit could be very good. Cb3 , I'd love to bring Leonard Johnson back personally. Every team has holes
