  1. Big difference sounds like Daboll , it'd be hard to be worse than Dennison/Taylor
  2. Great news. I'm not convinced he's going to decline , he passed the eye test with flying colors Last year and is crucial to the teams success.. Unless some huge developments unfold,I don't see his availability being affected at all....
  3. I stumbled on this last week and it's a great video imo.. This is a non Bills fan that extensively watched his highlight INT @ ATL last year.. I was especially blown away to hear that was the first time Atlanta ran that play last year , as the video says and as I'm sure most already know, Hydes instincts are just off the charts and he fits this scheme phenomenally.. Enjoy the video , I thought the board would enjoy.. Skip to 2:55 for start
  4. I actually like it. Get it out of the way as much as possible so the media isn't constantly bringing it up. Unless some huge developments come out , I don't see it affecting his availability
  5. We also lucked out like the Bengals and Panthers games, so it works both ways. Bottom line , we were in 13/17 games last year with an abysmal QB/OC combination A Hugeeeee liability in pass coverage . Very well said...
  6. 55BThe two most ireson is Sean McDermott and Leslie Frazier. I remember after hiring McDermott I saw a video of him interacting with Panthers and Eagles defensive players during practice and warm ups prior to the game. I instantly got excited and remember thinking that this guy is the real deal. I didn't know much about him at that time but that video instantly sold me . I was extremely impressed at his approach to coaching , that he had a natural ability to coach at the highest level. He was born for this His scheme, coaching and ability to identify the right players for his scheme is phenomenal imo , as well as identifying the correct staff to teach this and i feel we hit a home run with McD as HC and Frazier as DC. The numbers weren't good last year but stats don't tell the full story in many situations. McD had to completely rebuild this defense! Only 3 starters from the Ryan defense will likely remain - Kyle,Hughes and Lorax. That's 8 new starters on defense from when he was hired, 2 seasons, pretty incredible ! Secondary S - The Best safety duo no longer resides in Seattle .. Hyde and Poyer proved they are studs and fit this scheme like a glove. I don't even think it's an argument that there is a better S duo in the league than the one in Buffalo. And the scary part? They should only get BETTER!! That was year 1 , on a totally revamped secondary , and one of the worse pass rushes in the NFL. They can be much better when you factor in all this. CB - This context is important - Buffalo lost their Top CB in FA and traded Darby who was expected to takeover as the #1 CB last year and didn't re sign our #3 CB in Robey. Going into TC almost everyone thought CB and secondary in general would be a huge weakness , possibly worse in the league. Now along with the best S duo we have a #1 that looks like he's going to be a TOP 5 CB for the next decade. To do what he did as a rookie is just so rare for a CB. Lattimore played just as well but Tre was the #1 on a secondary that had ZERO returning starters! Lattimore also had a significantly better pass rush. Both will be Elite but I think Tre will have a better career. I think Tre is the next Revis... We could have re signed but didn't even offer our #2 and 3 CB, replacing Gaines with a very very good CB in Davis. Been a #1 his whole career, if he can return to form , we likely have the best secondary in the NFL. The nickel is up for grabs but like Gaines, we didn't even try to retain Johnson, so McD feels we can upgrade both. FRONT 7 Edmunds , Murphy , Star , Phillips and my sleeper Julian Stanford are all new additions that should have a big impact on the front 7. Our only significant loss on the front 7 was Preston Brown, who we didn't even make an offer to . Reliable but average at best and consistently got picked on in coverage. We're replacing him with a rookie who should at least be an upgrade over Brown and has the potential to be a legit generational talent at MLB. Milano next to him in the nickel is one helluva combination. Lorax is penciled in as the other starter but don't be surprised if Stanford balls out and starts at some point . Depth could be a concern but Lorax-Edmunds-Milano is a big upgrade over last years week 1 starters in Lorax-Brown- Humber. Humber , Stanford coming off the bench. Finally the DL , which had zero significant losses and added 3 likely contributors in Star , Murphy and Dirty Harry. Hughes numbers were not very good but if you watch him play , he's as good as he was when he signed his contract. He just didn't have much help at all but with Star and Murphy I expect his numbers to skyrocket . We also have very good depth at DL , have two legit rota Murphy-Kyle-Star-Hughes is significantly better than overweight Lawson-Adolphus-Kyle-Hughes. We now have Lawson,Lorax , Yarborough as depth at DE and Adolphus and Phillips as DT depth. McD can get very creative with the front 7 now . Edmunds, Milano,Lorax and Stanford can all rush the passer too, McD can add a bunch of new wrinkles to his defense now. .
  7. As he should be, he looked good rushing the passer last year . If Lawson actually lives up to the hype , Hughes /Murphy and Lorax/Lawson is a really good DE rotation, much improved over last year ,but I'm probably in the minority on Hughes (thought he was a force in pressuring last year but stats didn't stack up) and Murphy ,who I think can be a stud opposite Hughes
  8. Thanks and I completely agree with everything you're saying. There is so many variables that go into each week , like injuries and weather and matchups. It's impossible and ridiculous to look at a schedule in July and predict a teams record. There's always guys who will have career years or terrible years from their norm... I'm excited about the team , I feel we improved everywhere except OL and i'd like to think we can be much better on O without Taylor and Dennison , I mean they were a pretty awful combo. I don't see why we can't sustain or improve on the 9 wins last year
  9. I think the secondary can be the best in the league. You gotta factor in what should be a much improved pass rush. And Edmunds/Milano in Nickel is a huge improvement over Preston and Humber/Lorax.. Alot to be excited about with the secondary and pass defense , it's going to keep us in the majority of games like last year I agree. Very well put. Was a top cb and a legit#1 before his injury Last year . Also as op said, he's a beast in the run game like Tre
  10. We had a super hard schedule last year too , according to everybody. Played both SB teams last year from the year before (@ATL,,@NE, VS NE) ..
  11. Mills is one of the most underrated players on the team. He's fine at RT
  12. Yea we really hit the jackpot with Edmunds , I don't say that type of thing when a guy is a rookie but he's also a rare athlete ...worse case scenario he should be a slight upgrade over Preston, Best case , he's a generational mlb.. McD and Beane had to totally strip the D and build it with their vision , unfortunately Ragland just doesn't fit the scheme , and while he could be an elite run defender , he'll get picked on in coverage pretty easily .. Still rooting for him.. I'm very happy with Edmunds - Milano in the Nickel though , backed by that secondary? Turnover City , I keep saying it, this D is going to be elite - not only because of the players but because I think we got a great HC and he's amazing at identifying the right players for his scheme.
  13. That will be an All Time Great Speech. I was in tears for the majority of the speech.. That was probably the most emotional I've gotten over a speech in my lifetime... It was more personal for me than Jimmy V's , just an amazing moment from an amazing human being. How lucky is this fan base to have a guy like that attached to the Bills forever? We hit the lottery on Jim Kelly on n off the field. I'm truly praying for his health
  14. That was awesome stuff.. We lucked out having Jim as a Bill.. I was cutting onions as he was speaking, I def wasn't crying
  15. Me too! Hes going into year 3, year 2 in this scheme, he definitely has natural talent and was regarded as a penetrating DT. I can see him having a break out year . If him and Lawson can play to their potential we'll have a very deep and talented DL
  16. That would be an amazing combo though but Bell is demanding too much money. I'd draft a RB in first 3 rounds and have Shady groom him for at least a year.. We're going to have a boatload of cash and I think will put the finishing touches on the roster makeover..
  17. Happy Birthday # 25 His work ethic doesn't get brought up enough. He looked as good as ever last year. His rare vision and elusiveness lets him avoid big hits on a weekly basis. Thank God these allegations don't seem to be sticking..
  18. Head scratching calls on offense before the first half , giving Jax ball back and ultimately a FG. Tre White dropping that int before half... Could have easily been 6-0 Bills going I to half , not 3-3.. What a game Shady played on a bad leg. Just imagine him with a respectable passing game! That 40 yard catch in the 4th that got brought back cause a hold was brutal too.. Very winnable game.. They dropped a 40 piece on Pitt and I think 28 @NE...our defense really deserved a ton of credit.. Lorax balled out
  19. https://reddit.app.link/zCyeIAeQtO The baby mother is Steph in the convo.. Clearly doesn't care or want to get involved with the victims situation, she is just speaking on their son and claims that child abuse claim was false and their just trying to ruin Shady.. Victim is Losing credibility by the day.
  20. Well she reportedly refused to take off a bracelet that the guy was demanding off her wrist, so I'm sure she was screaming and saying something as she is refusing and this could have enraged the guy and caused him to excessively beat her...
  21. Oh ok. I missed that part.. Either way as more details emerge, Shady is looking less suspicious.. again, to send a guy over there in the middle of court hearings would be absolutely moronic and idiotic. I just don't see him being that sloppy. He truly cares about his icareer/legacy and it's common sense he'd be a prime target in this, just doesn't make sense
  22. I'm pretty sure there were more attackers than 1 in McCoy case and she did refuse to give up some jewelry and run her mouth which probably made them mad and caused such a serious beat down... Also on Reddit there is a thread with the mother of Shadys kid saying he never touched him and is a great father and they apparently aren't even that close but she spoke up because she doesn't want lies ruining his career. I will post link shortly
  23. Facts.. https://patch.com/georgia/alpharetta/cash-jewelry-taken-during-violent-home-invasion-alpharetta Apparently this could be the same people, speculation at this point but sounds very similar to this attack , this was a town away from Milton by the way..
