  1. If im a GM im taking Hopkins before AB . The dude is just a ball magnet
  2. you think the terrible ol is holding them back from using that? So Allen doesn't get lit up running it?
  3. Man i can't wait to see Allen behind an improved OL. He was running for his life almost every play, literally . Watson can just sit back n wait for routes to develop.
  4. Dude, I guess he feels it was impressive for a rookie to take advantage of an Offside like that and go deep. It wasn't a TD but we gained a huge amount of yards. And I guess we are watching different games because I don't see QB go deep like that as often as you are making it out to be. I'm not saying QBs don't do it, but I'm saying it's in no way a play that every qb makes on a consistent basis. Again, our previous veteran starter of 3 years never made that type of throw, literally. It sounds like you have a biased against Allen. All we are saying is that it was great situational awareness by our rookie qb , and you seem to not like the fact we are showing him some love for this. It's coached and preached to do so, but we must be watching different games because i just don't see it happen that much.
  5. Really appreciate the stats..I was second guessing myself for a minute, because i didn't think it was as common as some people are saying , just from watching a fair amount of games a year I don't see QBs take advantage of a free play and go deep like Allen did and see Rodgers consistently do it. I'm not in no way comparing the two, as i stated , Rodgers was the first guy i thought of when he made the throw and these stats pretty much confirm what my eyes have seen. Regardless of what anyone says, it was very impressive and encouraging to ME .
  6. Lol. It's just that Rodgers seems to make a living off that, it feels like he's doing that every time i see the Pack play . He was the player that came to mind when Allen threw the deep ball knowing the D was Offside, Rodgers consistently will chuck it deep when the D is Offside. Not many QBs do . I just thought it was a very heady play for a rookie , and again, our previous QB would never make a throw like that, as he seemed to be stuck in his head, nervous in the pocket and didn't trust his throwing ability, so Taylor was thinking, while Allen just reacted and made a veteran throw there.
  7. Well I can't think of ONE time our previous QB made that throw in 3 years, and i'm pretty sure he's aware of the rules.
  8. Allen by a landslide. Chubb is having a phenomenal rookie year, but even with a top 5 edge rusher opposite him, the 2 having the most sacks by any duo in the league, it's not going to equate to a playoff berth for the Broncos and they have an overpaid vet QB that is clearly not the answer for short or long term success. So with no legit options on the FA market, the Broncos are going to have to draft a franchise QB asap . Allen would be even more impressive with that OL and solid WR corp and it is much much much easier to find a legit edge rusher than a franchise QB.
  9. Exactly. I was super impressed and really appreciated it. Just very heads up, a play you rarely see a rook make.
  10. So probably my favorite play from the Jet game is when Allen forced the DE Offside , had the awareness the flag was thrown and just chucked one up to I believe Zay Jones, resulting in a pass interference and a 30-40 yard gain! Aka the Aaron Rodgers special. This is super heady for a rookie and something Rodgers has made a living doing on a consistent basis in Green Bay. The next thing that crossed my mind after being super super impressed by this heady, veteran like play was how I remember Tyrod Taylor NEVER taking advantage of offside penalties. I was on BBMB at that time but we definitely had a few discussions about Tyrod just not having the awareness to take advantage of the offside . Just another example that this kid has tons of potential and another example of a great, veteran play that wont show up on the stat sheet and eventually resulted in a Bills TD. Haven't seen this particular play discussed on here, as I'm sure many posters felt very refreshed seeing Allen make that throw , especially after 3 years of Taylor failing to ever come close to making that type of play.
  11. I'm rooting for them only so we can ruin their playoff hopes in week 17
  12. I think you could have made an argument for Taron Johnson on this list too. I also think Edmunds makes a considerable jump in year 2. For 20 years old , handling the responsibilities of a MLB, he's done a fine job in year 1, i think we're talking pro bowl potential in year 2 as he cleans up a couple kinks in his game. Overall, Back to Back great drafts, most excited Ive been for the future as a Bill fan in my lifetime.
  13. I actually made a post that blew up a bit in late September about Taron, I was just so impressed by his physical ability, nose for the ball and coverage skill, even though things were looking dim at the time. The scary part is, he's been playing the majority of the year with a shoulder issue, I can only imagine how good he can be without that injury hampering him, i think that kid is super special, like Tre, except he's obviously a nickel which slightly decreases his value. And i agree on Wallace, if he finishes as strong as he's been, scary good is correct! Tre is one of a handful of legit lockdown cb that follow the number 1 and he's only in year 2. Look at Lattimore for example who took a big step back this year, Tre has been a phenom since week 1 last year.
  14. Yea he has been a pleasant surprise and this has largely been without the rookie stud at nickel, Taron Johnson. We might be set at secondary, although i am not a big fan of Bush in the Big Nickel..
  15. But we are talking about so called professional journalists who are supposed to report with intelligence and integrity and fail to bring up plain as day issues, that any average football fan can see with the OL and the fact he is throwing to only 1 WR that was on the opening day roster , with no run game, it is your job to add insight into why his numbers are the way they are. Just last game he was running for his life on what felt like every play, had his WR drop 5-6 passes right in the breadbasket and still was inches away from two game winning drives, yet none of these writers will mention any of these FACTS... If you can't see the biased reporting towards Allen , open up your eyes! And i don't mean to spread no negativity or attack you personally, i'm just ticked off , all i really want is for Allen to get a fair shake, if they're going to write about him and this and many other articles are clearly not fair.
  16. I'm only on the second paragraph, where he states "so far the Bills have gotten a less impressive version of Tyrod" and already see where this article is headed. In his first 5 starts he was overall pretty rough but the last 3 he has exceeded Taylor heavily in the pass game as well as with his legs! Just last week, people forget, his last drive, where he made 3 big time clutch throws that Taylor would never even attempt, as well as his 3rd down beautiful back shoulder throw to Zay around the 5 yard line that was actually called a catch and is a perfect example of how little help Allen has received from his WR corp. The pass was eventually overruled as incomplete, barely , but it should have been the 4th super impressive throw on the drive and set them up lovely with 1st n goal inside the 10 ! The previous week? He magically avoids an instant pass rush from his atrocious OL on the final play, on the road and his veteran , highly paid TE dropped what would have been another GW pass from this "bust". LoL. Bills fans are highly objective over Allen and the majority of us see what i see and that is just tremendous upside and potential as soon as next year. We all see he has an absolutely atrocious OL that all these writers fail to bring up. I just don't understand how this dude can make these type of comments if he has watched the last 3 games, where he is only 1-2 , but if his ST and OL is just average, he is 3-0 and even with them being ATROCIOUS, he still should have had 2 game winning drives with passes that should have been caught. I'm as excited as ive ever been, especially for a 4-9 team, I cannot wait til next year where we get to see our FRANCHISE QB with upgraded playmakers and OL shred defenses and these so called experts will have no choice but to report on his amazing skills accurately, because right now he is not getting a fair shake by the national media, who seem like they have a clear agenda against him and are rooting for him to fail and fail themselves to add any insight to why his numbers are so low. Dude is a stud, period, and I'm not no Allen fanboy , i'm just a die hard Bills fan that calls it how i see it. Meanwhile , the very first paragraph on Darnold, who has 20 points lower QBR, is how he has the worse supporting cast and no OL , but that was never mentioned with Allen, even when talking about the REASON he is scrambling so much. These guys are either not watching the film, which i doubt, or have that much hatred towards Allen, its truly pathetic and just clear biased takes by so many national writers. Not sure I've ever seen this much hate towards a rookie QB.
  17. i still think he has the juice , despite the numbers. With one of the worse OL and no consistent pass game , defenses stacked the box all year. Just a few weeks ago he looked like himself in Jersey. I want him on this team next year for his leadership and respect his teammates have , as well as his ability in the pass game. I'd like to see a 1a and 1b RB situation next year and anticipate he has a great year with anticipated improvements at qb,wr and ol.
  18. aka Tyrod Taylor 2.0 not a fan of the decision while still being in playoff contention yea he had that epic playoff run and has been average at best since, hasn't come close to living up to the contract but id still start him over Jackson ,who is just tremendously limited in the pass game and they have a pretty talented wr corp
  19. Bomani Jones, i probably butchered his name, and i'm not familiar with the other guy, younger asian guy. It was truly such a garbage segment that just focused on one line of the article and had little to no knowledge or insight. Like I said, ESPN and these 2 hosts should be ashamed of themselves for talking about this with clearly little to no knowledge on how Allen has been playing. Didn't even bring up the injury and the progress he has showed since coming back. They showed a pick he threw versus SD, his first start and Jones actually started laughing and said something like "i mean look at that throw for christ sake" This is why i barely tune in anymore and i don't know how production can run this type of garbage at 4 pm. The least they could have done would be to watch even all his throws from the last 3 weeks , which you see a ton of upside and potential and drops and brutal OL play and at least touch on this aspect of his game and this team, which Quinn did.
  20. Wow, this ESPN show "High Noon" just brought up this and had a couple minute segment completely trashing Allen and Quinn, while embarrassing themselves for a lack of actually looking into the article and only bringing up his completion percentage and lack of passing TD. Basically Calling Allen horrible, and trashing Quinn, even brought up Tyrod , saying didn't you people in Buffalo say passing matters.. Espn should be ashamed of themselves for having these bozos get on national TV and talk about a subject they clearly knew nothing about. They clearly didn't watch Allen play, and didn't bring up the lack of WR and terrible ol, only the negatives, it was a cringe worthy watch imo...can't find a link but i'm sure there will be one soon, this was around 410 pm
  21. That's a shame. Dude was a gamer and above average S who caught an unextremely unlucky break just entering his prime. It's a shame really. I'm sure he has some resentment and anger built up about the situation as a whole and i don't blame him. With that said , the owners and front office have no attatchment to him .
  22. Great points. Hes a tank, stiff arming DTs and DEs and can literally throw to any part of the field from any spot on the field. He's going to be a nightmare to prepare for with an improved oL. Totally different beast than Baker , and give him a run game on top of that? The O would be deadly. Next year we are instant contenders.
  23. I really think you can argue he has the highest ceiling in the game , period. Him and Mahomes. We might have struck gold. He def has the right mind, might be a captain next year. You can clearly see the respect his teammates have for him. A natural leader , a gamer , just a phenomenal attitude for the position. The physical ability is off the charts , best in the league at the position, for a "project" QB with under 10 starts, throwing to all unproven WR and with no consistent run game (besides him, he has that spidey sense when he takes off, thing of beauty), he gets an A+ imo. And you know he's going to put in a ton of work, have improved OL and WR , i mean the skys the limit, his ceiling is ridiculously high , glad hes a Bill! Baker is currently playing better but when you ***** the situations and look at the tape, Allen has a much higher ceiling ,
  24. Am i the only one that feels Jackson is basically Tyrod 2.0? I don't even know his passing numbers, just really based on watching Allen and him in the pass game and he is extremely limited as far as making reads and completing passes. While he has won 3 of 4 games, that's in large part to the defense and his very very good running ability and Greg Roman using his legs to give him very easy reads and throws. Allen needs work but i'd be confident saying he's on another level passing than Jackson , i just think Jackson is that limited...
