  1. As a non Packer fan , obviously , I will say when there is smoke, there's fire. I'm sure there's some truth to these reports and parts that have gotten blown up by the media. Still the most talented QB in the game and maybe the price of being the best and what he demands from teammates has rubbed some the wrong way, but I just don't think this is some smear campaign
  2. They were in the 43. Back to back 10 sack seasons Then Rex came along and forced a 34 defense on them and productivity dropped at multiple positions
  3. He really is , and very good vs the run and rarely injured . He hasn't had the sacks but just causes havoc in the backfield on a regular basis , with his sneaky cat like quickness . Off the top of my head I recall 3 separate plays where his pressure caused an INT. I gotta feeling they trade up for a DL , give Hughes another great pass rusher and those prrssures turn into more sacks, FF ,TFL and int.
  4. The most underrated DE/edge rusher in the game So Hughes was 2nd in pressures in the whole league and first on the right side , where he's battling the LT , usually the teams best OL. He absolutely dominated the competition on that side though. 13 more than Garrett and 16 more than Clowney , both former #1 overall picks. For more context , Hughes was apart of a rotation and didn't have anyone else on the line that was elite at rushing the passer last year. Well maybe Lorax but he's only rushing the QB on a part time basis. When you look at these names , they are all considered elite and commonly mentioned on a national level for their pass rushing ability. If you were to mention Hughes in the same conversation as these guys , most ppl would look at you like you have 2 heads . He is criminally underrated and last year was arguably his best season to date! Jerry Hughes is a top 5 DE! I think the Bills attempt to trade up for the top edge rusher or DT on their board to get Hughes some help while he's still in his prime. I also believe he is re signed for a 3 year deal after this season. Such an Elite talent that consistently causes havoc in the backfield , I'd be so happy to see another elite DE opposite Hughes.
  5. Just No! McDermott spent his whole career basically , creating and expanding upon this 4-3 Defense. He'd never make that switch, let alone based on a single player.
  6. Thanks. Yup he has a LEG and showed glimpses before injury. I'm sure he can only get better! This ST unit should bounce back nicely with the FA additions and a 2nd yr punter. All 3 phases baby. Beane is doing his thing , improving so many aspects of this team. Punting is a huge part of a close game.
  7. I've been saying this to anyone on here who'll listen since last year. I think we struck gold with McD and Beane. Beane could be in the conversation depending how we finish , and expectations are high for me.. I feel they Share a specific blueprint and vision for long term success and he has really set this franchise on the right athletes and made it sustainable! I just love the culture being built , it really feels like something special is brewing. They target very specific personality traits as well. Feel Beane and McD have a firm grasp on the team , and get the best out of them on the field.
  8. 9-11 wins.. And the potential to make a legit run in the playoffs
  9. I personally disagree , if we can get 2017 Dawkins back , why can't he be the LT of the future? Only entering year 3. His situation last year was brutal , playing next to below average LG and C . With Spain and Morse he can certainly return to his rookie form , if not improve. I'd like to see the Bills wait til next years draft to make that determination
  10. Wow I Love this signing!! Basically a lock to be starting LG come week 1 , HUGE improvement over last year, especially with another huge upgrade in Morse next to him at C. Dawkins will also benefit significantly from this signing . 18- Dawkins/Vlad(Teller)/Bodine/Miller/Mills 19- Dawkins/Spain/Morse/?/Ty Morse alone is going to make everyone around him better. Pre draft this is a massive improvement over last years line . They're really putting Allen in a great position to make a huge leap in year 2 .
  11. I don't understand how you can even put last years and this years FA period in the same sentence? Bills were rubbing pennies together last year , by design , knowing this year they'd have a great deal of funds. They and we knew Bodine and Ducass were not long term answers. They went out this year and really did work on that OL and protecting Allen , setting him up for success. I do agree that a move up is definitely possible , if Beane and Co fell in love with a top 5 pick , they definitely created the flexibility to move on up. This is year 1 of Buffalo being a legit threat in the AFC for years to come , at Least in their minds I think , well mine too .
  12. I wouldn't mind this at all. Beane has done a wonderful job of giving himself the flexibility to truly go BPA , I'd just be surprised that they pass up on a blue Chip DL that will certainly be there at 9 . With 10 picks , I'd much rather grab Oliver for example at 9 and trade back into the late first and grab Noah .
  13. Yea this would essentially shore up the line and create some really good competition to determine the best 5, besides maybe a late Rd pick , we don't need to draft OL either . I just hope McDermott establishes the 5 much earlier than last year. I didn't like the shuffling so deep into the pre season last year but when you look at what he was working with, it's understandable. I love that at least Morse and Allen can start creating chemistry from day 1
  14. Ya. I watched the first night and besides reading a couple articles on it , I have no desire to continue watching . Myself along with many on here are football junkies too so I figured it was destined to doom sooner than later. Every football fan I talk to on a regular has no interest in the AAF . I just think the NFL has nearly turned into an all year sport, with FA and the draft , than before you know it training camp , it's going to be extremely difficult for any league to have even moderate success competing against a giant like the NFL. I am intrigued by the XFL. For McMahon to have the stones to start it up again after failing hard the first time makes me wonder what they have up their sleeve that they feel it can be a success this time around
  15. Exactly. I'm about to put a very large sum on the over for Buffalo, it's completely legal here in Jersey. We literally had 1 significant loss out of 53 players (Kyle Williams) and made huge improvements on OL,WR and QB. I say QB because Peterman started the year and Allen looked great after week 9 . We are legit playoff contenders imo. The totals are more about how teams are perceived by the country. Most non Bill fans perceive us as a losing team . Most Bills fans know that's b.s. Elite defense still intact , with major upgrades to ST and O , plus a weaker schedule. This is Easy $$$ , over 6 wins.
  16. I'm just glad we won't be looking for a HC in the foreseeable future. McDermott is the real deal
  17. Gotta add Lorax to the DE rotation but this could be his last year. He was a top 10 edge defender per PFF. Hughes was top 5. They were the only duo to be in the top 10 . I also could see Shaq much more at DT. I'd be happy with DE
  18. Nice. Gore is a big upgrade over Ivory
  19. Love it ! Fantastic depth. Push Levi on the outside. Great signing
  20. No way. I don't even see the correlation. Dimarco is a FB and probably most importantly, a captain and leader. But I'd personally like to see Josh take over as O captain with Shady still. It looks like McD keeps it to 2 Offensive and Defensive captains and up to 2 ST captains. Like to see Allen takeover for Dimarco, Hyde replace Kyle and Roberts replace Taiwan along with Shady , Lorax and Hau$ch
