Wow I Love this signing!! Basically a lock to be starting LG come week 1 , HUGE improvement over last year, especially with another huge upgrade in Morse next to him at C. Dawkins will also benefit significantly from this signing . 18- Dawkins/Vlad(Teller)/Bodine/Miller/Mills 19- Dawkins/Spain/Morse/?/Ty Morse alone is going to make everyone around him better. Pre draft this is a massive improvement over last years line . They're really putting Allen in a great position to make a huge leap in year 2 .

I don't understand how you can even put last years and this years FA period in the same sentence? Bills were rubbing pennies together last year , by design , knowing this year they'd have a great deal of funds. They and we knew Bodine and Ducass were not long term answers. They went out this year and really did work on that OL and protecting Allen , setting him up for success. I do agree that a move up is definitely possible , if Beane and Co fell in love with a top 5 pick , they definitely created the flexibility to move on up. This is year 1 of Buffalo being a legit threat in the AFC for years to come , at Least in their minds I think , well mine too .

I wouldn't mind this at all. Beane has done a wonderful job of giving himself the flexibility to truly go BPA , I'd just be surprised that they pass up on a blue Chip DL that will certainly be there at 9 . With 10 picks , I'd much rather grab Oliver for example at 9 and trade back into the late first and grab Noah .

Yea this would essentially shore up the line and create some really good competition to determine the best 5, besides maybe a late Rd pick , we don't need to draft OL either . I just hope McDermott establishes the 5 much earlier than last year. I didn't like the shuffling so deep into the pre season last year but when you look at what he was working with, it's understandable. I love that at least Morse and Allen can start creating chemistry from day 1

Ya. I watched the first night and besides reading a couple articles on it , I have no desire to continue watching . Myself along with many on here are football junkies too so I figured it was destined to doom sooner than later. Every football fan I talk to on a regular has no interest in the AAF . I just think the NFL has nearly turned into an all year sport, with FA and the draft , than before you know it training camp , it's going to be extremely difficult for any league to have even moderate success competing against a giant like the NFL. I am intrigued by the XFL. For McMahon to have the stones to start it up again after failing hard the first time makes me wonder what they have up their sleeve that they feel it can be a success this time around

Vegas has win totals for next year
JerseyBills replied to DBilz2500's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. I'm about to put a very large sum on the over for Buffalo, it's completely legal here in Jersey. We literally had 1 significant loss out of 53 players (Kyle Williams) and made huge improvements on OL,WR and QB. I say QB because Peterman started the year and Allen looked great after week 9 . We are legit playoff contenders imo. The totals are more about how teams are perceived by the country. Most non Bill fans perceive us as a losing team . Most Bills fans know that's b.s. Elite defense still intact , with major upgrades to ST and O , plus a weaker schedule. This is Easy $$$ , over 6 wins. -
Sean Payton not a fan of hiring HCs based on trends

I'm just glad we won't be looking for a HC in the foreseeable future. McDermott is the real deal -
Tight End and Defensive Tackle Draft Depth
JerseyBills replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gotta add Lorax to the DE rotation but this could be his last year. He was a top 10 edge defender per PFF. Hughes was top 5. They were the only duo to be in the top 10 . I also could see Shaq much more at DT. I'd be happy with DE -
Nice. Gore is a big upgrade over Ivory

CB EJ Gaines 1 year deal

Love it ! Fantastic depth. Push Levi on the outside. Great signing -
No way. I don't even see the correlation. Dimarco is a FB and probably most importantly, a captain and leader. But I'd personally like to see Josh take over as O captain with Shady still. It looks like McD keeps it to 2 Offensive and Defensive captains and up to 2 ST captains. Like to see Allen takeover for Dimarco, Hyde replace Kyle and Roberts replace Taiwan along with Shady , Lorax and Hau$ch

Absolutely. That locker room is going to be in shambles with Malcom 'in the middle' Mitchell retiring. This could be one of Belichecks greatest achievements if he's able to keep morale high
-
Absolutely. I'm almost 29 so I barely remember the Music city miracle. I just remember crying after , I think I was 9 , so being a die hard and being able to enjoy the postseason , the week leading up, it was tremendous. Anyone else just so impressed with McD? Just as a rookie HC, how he's mentally analyzing the locker room if the Bengals lost. Jeremy White made a great point about the Kyle TD. How McD had such a strong pulse on his team . Just Knowing how much of an impact that call would have on the team . I've shared my love of McDermott since day 1 pretty much . Feel he's a natural HC , again, has a great feel for the locker room. I'm personally very satisfied he's on our sideline. I think him and Beane are going to be here for a Long time! Yea but that was a helluva defensive performance.. McD and Co had them completely prepared . I guess besides Blake rushing, still was a great performance nonetheless..Remember they put up big numbers @ Pitt and NE as well. I think Josh Allen definitely wins that game

I've been very high on Beane since day 1 . I think it's absolutely true , he's said on multiple occasions , FA is for filling needs and the draft is for BPA. This is the first year we get to see him in action without being severely cash strapped. Most importantly , him and McD seem to be on the exact same page and have the same blueprint and vision for this team being successful

Tackle at #9, Dawkins to LG
JerseyBills replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree . Except I'd have Ty at LT and Dawkins at LG if Taylor is at RT. Ty is much better than Feliciano and graded out very well at LT. Rookie/Ty-Dawkins-Morse-Long-Rookie/Ty is a very very strong 5 with serious potential. Massive upgrade from 2018 -
I know people will talk about Beane not being GM yet but him and McDermott have their fingerprints all over the 2017 draft. Just off the bat , these drafts were 'Franchise Changing'. We're going to have 8-10 starters from these drafts entering week 1 of the upcoming season! And most these guys are high end starters. That's pretty amazing. Milano - Edmunds Tre -Taron - Levi Totally rebuilt the D in 2 years, that's incredible. 5 legit starters that all played a huge part in the #2 pass defense. Harry Phillips plays a key role and can only improve. Siran Neal is okay depth but again , he can only get better. Even minus Neal , we added 6 legit contributers on defense in 2 years. Dawkins - Teller (?) Allen Foster So there's 3 legit starters , including Franchise QB . Then you got Zay , Teller , Croom as good depth and should be major contributers. That's 6 legit contributers on offense going into next year. In that 2 year span we averaged 4 starters and 6 impact players. That's amazing when you think about it. These 2 drafts already have and will continue to have a huge impact on this franchise. This is how you build a team and set them up for long term success. If we can continue to draft this well , we'd have long term,. Sustainable success. I've been saying that since they were hired . I've just had this gut feeling about them . 15 wins with their rosters is extremely impressive. Both seem to have the exact same vision and blueprint and work well together. Calculated, intelligent , patient . Big things are in store for this franchise.
