Baldy breaks down Oliver vs Nelson
JerseyBills replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shoot , I was celebrating. Thursday basically confirmed what I expected - that Oliver is going to be an elite , beast of a DL from day 1. Plugging Ed into a defense that has 6 starters in year 3 together and the other 4 in year 2 together is amazing! He's going to be the only new starter and no offense to 95 but he's going to be a huge upgrade talent wise. Kyle was past his prime and Ed has rare talent imo. The leverage, strength, quickness and force he creates is unreal. He uses his smaller stature to his advantage. With the added depth , progression from guys like Edmunds,Harry,Neal etc . My expectation is #1 defense in the league for this defense -

Also splitting the Double , making the RB hesitate and gets cleaned up for no gain. Also the play where he missed the sack shows off his athleticism, effort and awareness. He's going to be a disruptor up the middle. Can ruin alot of offensive gameplans that way -

Ya the double teams drew my attention as well Also the fact he only played 11 snaps tells me the Bills staff already knows they have a beast on their hands. Usually a rookie DL will get significant playing time. -
Defense was lights out against Colts
JerseyBills replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was minus Hughes , Hyde and Lorax . D is going to be dominant -
He forgot the snap where Oliver drove him into Brissett. Only 11 snaps , Bills know he's a beast . Man he's super quick . Special player, you can instantly tell. Brings it every play

Nice. McDermott wanted to add nasty maulers . Ford Ty Spain Morse Feliciano Teller are all nasty. OL is a Deep group. Long/Feliciano have the upper hand being able to play C too -
Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-Season Game 1
JerseyBills replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This team is extremely well structured and deep. We been down top 2 TE and haven't missed a beat there. The OL looked night and day from last year and that's minus an elite C. Defense minus Hyde,Lorax,Hughes didn't miss a beat. I know it's just Pre Season but one thing that you can judge is talent , and we're flooded with it in various positions -
Preseason Colts at Bills 7 pm
JerseyBills replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes it was catchable . Brown got his hand on the back shoulder , but was too outside, would have been out of bounds. Overall looked confident and comfortable . Most importantly looked much more decisive . Was accurate , timing slightly off. Looked much more than Allen in week 17. -

Allen just looked sharp regardless of the numbers. He had a cpl bad throws , back shoulder to Brown and one at Zays feet , otherwise was decisive and accurate. What a difference from last year at this time. -
Raiders officially selected for Hard Knocks
JerseyBills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The difference in locker room culture is astonishing to the Bills under McD. Him and Beane are only a year ahead, gutted the team as well and it's just much more of an all about business mentality. Which is a direct effect of Beane and McDs calculated and detailed construction of this roster. Focusing alot on their mental makeup , something the Raiders def don't value as much just viewing some of the young guys -
He was the best player on the field from 15-17 He flashed elite play last year , with the QB fiasco for alot of the year and maybe our worse OL ever , he just didn't have space to operate. Brown/Beasley help him tremendously. Obviously the ol overhaul will help tremendously. I think week 1 he's going to shock alot of fans when he looks like the Shady we know. Can't wait A guy this special doesn't just lose it like alot of the media is insinuating.

McCoy is going to look like vintage Shady this year. Huge weapon nobody is talking about

Prediction for the Bills this season
JerseyBills replied to Ice bowl 67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm with Adam. All I know is we're a threat. How big of a threat ? We'll see but that defense is going to be dominant and I fully believe Allen is the real deal and will provide a potentially explosive O. -

Very impressive. This F.O is the real deal fellas. -
Ya the local media here was very harsh on the Jets F.O for not addressing OL in FA , especially C. They wanted , actually expected Morse or Paradias. They're very thin at OL all around. Which is why I think Bell is not going to have close to the impact he had on Pitt with the best OL in the game and a top 5 WR. I love the dysfunction. Gase was apparently upset at the contract amounts they gave out without upgrading OL. According to local media
