I just think we struck gold with McDermott. It's now year 3 and I think we're going to see much more exotic and dynamic play on both sides of the ball. We're going to see his personality shine through this team . I think we'll be way more aggressive on both sides of the ball. Something special about this team .

Him and Josh Allen are going to be an absolute nightmare for defenses Great post. He's going to have a huge impact if healthy , could see multiple 40+ yarders landed in a game. Especially if Foster continues to do what he does. This O could be electric. And we already know that's one of the best defenses in the game! Is it Sunday yet!!!?!?!

I could see this O being top 10. Because of the OL . You look around the league, we're one of a handful of teams with a legit 5 OL. We have 7 guys I'm very confident in. They're key to this O

Good post. I just think it's way to early to question Allen. The offense was SO limited in terms of personnel and talent at Ol, RB , TE and WR! Allen had Bodine snapping him the ball , Ducass and Mills on the SAME side of the line , throwing to guys like Benjamin, Holmes, Clay, Kerley, Deonte Thompson off the street, McKenzie off the street . We literally upgraded every position group on O , pretty drastically. If Ford is as good as I believe, we have one of the best ol in the AFC. Look around, teams are in rough shape. OL 18 -Teller/Groy/Bodine/Ducass/Mills 19 - Spain/Morse/Feliciano/Ford/Ty is a massive upgrade TE 18 - Clay/Croom/Gragg/Logan Thomas 19 - Knox/Kroft/Sweeney/Smith is a massive upgrade RB 18 - Banged up Shady/Ivory/Murphy 19 - Singletary/Gore/Yeldon is a massive upgrade WR 18 - Benjamin/Zay/Kerley/Holmes/Thompson 19 - Brown/Beasely/Foster/Roberts/McKenzie/Zay Massive Upgrade McKenzie and Foster came in week 10(?) last year. In the beginning Allen is throwing to KB,Holmes, Kerley. Disgusting! Then McKenzie and Thompson , 2 guys he never met! Everything around him is not just upgraded but massively upgraded . Huge talent differential. I just don't see how Allen doesn't make a jump. This is such an improved O , it's almost unbelievable when u see it on paper

Absolutely. I think the Jets messed up , I don't think Darnold is a bad QB by any means . Just feel Josh will have the more successful career , as long as they give him the right pieces, which I feel they've done this year. So excited to see the jump he makes behind this upgraded O

This team truly believes he's the guy. His leadership has been pleasent surprise. Stage not too big , super competitive. Something about this squad is special, I'm telling ya! Recently talked to 3 very knowledgeable, die-hard Jet fans. They all admitted his ceiling is extremely high and he's a scary matchup. He gets the hate because they fear him!

Secondary is one group where they deserve the benefit of the doubt. Kevin Johnson looks like another great addition as well. We're 15-17 last 2 seasons ,w/ playoff berth. Easily could be 17-15 if Clay catches pass in Miami and Allen didn't get hurt @ Houston. Jets are 9-23 in same span. They made 2 splashy signings and suddenly they're contenders?! Jerry Hughes , Edmunds in year 2 , who might turn out to be the scariest Mlb in the game. Milano ? Lorax? Tre/Hyde/Poyer. Oliver? I see a ton of "home run" talent that should have an immediate impact. They have # 1 defense potential. Deep n talented. The knock on Whaley though is his contracts , inconsistent drafting and inability to build a culture . Something Beane has already done. He had a collection of talent, not a team. This is a team where The Whole is Greater thanthe Sum of its Parts. There's what , 3-4 guys that were here before 2017! Phenomenal job building this roster.

I'm envisioning a stat line like this. This was a 4 win team with new coaches and front office , they have a weak OL and secondary. This is Bells first action of the year , he previously ran behind the best OL in the AFC and a lethal passing attack. Just don't see him having a big impact, at least early on , against an elite Bills defense. I think Buffalos defense is the x factor and they come out swinging and executing at an extremely high level.

I see the Jets as a 4 win team last year that still has glaring holes at OL, edge rushing and secondary. I don't see any glaring holes for Buffalo. New coach/gm . I just see Buffalo as a much more complete,deeper team. And the cohesiveness and familiarity will matter in week 1. Bills 27 Jets 14

I got it at 6.5 wins. Very confident in that . I'm actually gaining confidence at Jets. They were a 4 win team with a brand new coaching staff and GM. They have glaring holes in the secondary and OL , we don't have any glaring holes. Just think we're a more complete, deeper team. Good test though and huge game for both teams. 27-14 Bills

Absolutely. Allen is the guy. He's QB1 . This staff and players truly believe in him , it is his team . I don't see a scenario where Allen plays so horrendous that he gets benched but if he got hurt for 4-6 games , I believe Barkley can keep us afloat at least.

I knew something was fishy when he wasn't on the leadership council after being a C last year. Initially I'm not happy about it at all. But this has to mean they think Singletary is that good and don't want touches taken away from him.

Nothing comes to mind. I also agree with @thurst44 about Murphy. We're just have a deep RB room. Singletary having an instant impact and looking like a potential steal , there's just no room with Shady,Gore,Yeldon . I'm pretty confident he'll get picked up. Can do alot worse than Murphy. I could actually see the Jets signing him . Believe they're a little thin at RB. Squeeze him for info in a huge week 1 game for both teams... I'm looking for the run game to have a huge year. Shady/Gore just know how to get those important first downs. They're both H.O.F level players with incredible work ethic. Then you got the young gun in Singletary who just has that vision out there . That natural vision you can't coach. Kid struck gold landing in this RB room as a rookie! With maulers like Ford , Spain , Feliciano , Morse , Dawkins (OL looks pretty good on paper!) , I just see the run game having a huge bounce back year. Specifically Shady , looking more like 2017 , 1138 rushing 450 receiving , 9 TD .

With DJ supposedly safe , which I approve, I don't see Eddie making the cut. Remember Lorax plays DE too. Looks like a great teammate , just more talent ahead of him

I saw this man play hundreds of snaps. He's not making any OL better at this level at least.
