NFL Week 10 - Vikings at Bills post game thread
JerseyBills replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen looked understandably heartbroken in his presser. As well as last week vs the Jets but this one, his body language was different. Particularly not looking reporters in their eyes and overall not moving like he usually does in press conferences Maybe I'm over analyzing here but it's clear he takes these losses hard and I think this one got to him a bit psychologically Back to back losses with 5 turnovers by him including 2 RZ picks is something we haven't seen since 2019. He's either going to continue this downward spiral or be our upcoming opponents worse nightmare. I don't see a middle ground with 17 and I love him for that. Next Sunday can't come soon enough but if he continues with the turnovers I'm going to be very concerned. I think all the hype. The Commercials and national exposure has put too much weight on him and our predictable and rarely used run gm doesn't help. The 1st half we ran effective and Wow, the pass gm opened up. Then , again with a lead, we barely run the ball His inability to check the ball down which is an extension of the run gm is killing this team as well. He had so many opportunities to hit Motor for positive yards while either getting sacked or incompletion for the 2nd straight game -
Absolutely. At 6-5 , anything can happen but if they lose next week, things are going to get dark around here. Would be 3 straight losses and I'd be genuinely concerned about playoffs The only silver lining is all 3 losses i thought we were the better team overall but that's why they play the games. Situational football has been horrendous I agree about the health and happiness. I was literally sick to my stomach for hours after this loss. Very agitated. Drank way more than usual.🤮 But I'll definitely be watching next week. I didn't watch us having a losing record for 17 years to turn my back now but ya , being in my 30s, these losses are getting tougher to bounce back from

I'll tell you 1 thing. All game the announcers were saying how the Vikings have come back in the 2nd half all year. I just can't fathom back to back gms blowing double digit leads The first question I have no idea but it's clear Allen isn't seeing the field too well Starting to think it's a psychological issue. The commercials, sponsors, mvp favorite, sb favorite. He's basically the face of the NFL. I think it's effecting his judgement and we're getting a version of Sugar High Josh

I mean we hold them to 23 if Lewis doesn't go for an int on 4th and 18. Missing Hyde Poyer White Elam Groot and Edmunds in 2nd half is hard to overcome That's 6 franchise players on 1 side of the ball but still inexcusable being up 17

We'll never know the reason for sure but bottom line , it's inexcusable. Especially in the RZ That's 4 RZ ints since the bye 3 weeks ago. This has to stop or we won't sniff a SB -

Absolutely. Diggs was probably overall more impressive The issue is why is Lewis going for the pick there in the 1st place in that situation?! Coaches should have been in every DBs ear that they knock it away unless you're literally all alone . Man this one is going to F my week up 🤮 -

The run game was very effective in the 1st half and clearly opened up the pass game. It's mind boggling how they refuse to keep running. That is exactly how you play that situation -
Disagree He has a 4.6 lifetime ypc We just don't feed him nearly enough. He can pass protect and good in the pass gm Regardless- he's the best back we got

Could have taken 4 downs or 25+ seconds 3 downs to throw it away and 4th down to take the S Leave Minny with under 20 seconds and 0 tos
-
We have a legit RB1 We could have anyone This coaching won't stick to it. Our RB1 scored twice in a half and in the next half was invisible Make it make sense!
-
Lol 🤦♂️ Ya Digg

Allen Refuses easy yards in check downs Coaching Refuses to stick with the run This team is a hot mess On the flip side , our D was missing 5 starters, 3 All Pro DBs and our last 2 1st rd picks

I definitely feel you on alot of points but I can't stop if I wanted to. I'm starting to think this Franchise might be cursed and because I love them, ill be forever cursed from Sept - Jan every year This loss in particular stung more than last week by far. We had several opportunities at victory and blew it Next few days will stink but there's alot of season left but my Expectations are alot lower going forward

Mahomes 2nd/3rd string RB McKinnon- 8 targets. 6 receptions. 56 yards Allen 1st string RB - 2 targets. 1 reception 0 yards I was screaming at the TV for 17 to check it down on at least 5 throws. I think all were for negative or zero yards. Unacceptable -
Josh Allen leads NFL in interceptions
JerseyBills replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
Since the bye - 3 games , 6 int , 1 fumble . **4 Red Zone interceptions** You won't win much with RZ turnovers Hard to pin those numbers on anyone but the QB I think it's something psychological He's got more sponsors, national Commercials. MVP favorite. SB favorite. I think it's starting to get in his head he has to be Superman. He had multiple check downs available that ended up losing or not gaining yards. Or a turnover Idk but this is a concerning trend -
There was at least 5 plays Allen could have checked it down for positive yards I think it's the expectations and fame thinking he has to be Superman every game The 4 red zone ints have been inexcusable though and not on the coaches. He looked like a rookie on them throws Why can't 17 ever check it down. It's killing us and been a theme his whole career
-
Absolutely. I said the same during the week I'm legit concerned I Hate that he refuses to check down. I think the fame might be getting to him and he thinks he needs to be Superman every play. He would have had 7-10 yards had he run it that last play
-
You might be on to something but it has really been since the bye that these RZ ints have happened. It's definitely something psychological. Either concussion or just the expectations getting to him. He refuses to check down which could be a huge wrinkle in the O and allows the D to ignore the check downs. Something ain't right and my expectations went way down. He cost us the last 2 games
-
We should've taken that safety of just had Josh run around the EZ and throw it away for 3 downs and take the Safety on the 4th.
-
Allen ignoring defenders last few weeks.
JerseyBills replied to Not at the table Karlos's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's a very concerning trend, since the bye week, everything changed -
No defending that throw 4 red zone ints in 3 weeks(since the bye) , something ain't right
-
Allen has to be going through some psychological issues 4 red zone ints in 3 gms is disgusting and unacceptable Refuses to check down. My expectations went way down This is a concerning trend I agree about taking the 3
