  1. Meh. You could be right, or not. I remember the last time I had Manning as a QB. I had a late round pick, so instead of taking some second rate RB, I took the points and went w/ Manning. He ended up having a career year, breaking Marino's TD record and winning MVP. I also did okay w/ my RBs, both of whom I took a bit later (I took Randy Moss w/ my 2nd pick): Emmitt Smith had just under 1,000 yards and scored 9 TDs while my other RB, Curtis Martin, led the league in rushing. That team got blasted too.......then ended up in first place going into the playoffs. Of course, we lost in the championship game that year (it is my team and subject to my luck, after all...which sucks), but I can live w/ that. To be revisted upon the end of the season.
  2. 26 days and counting!!!
  3. What isn't?
  4. Good thing I'm going to see that one, huh?
  5. Hahaha!!! Subtle shenanigans, eh? Like not reading the above post? TBD2 (Use Your TBD Username As Your Team Name!) Welcome to the league, Dave. We're all full now.
  6. Here's my team: QB: Peyton Manning, David Garrard RB: Michael Turner, Reggie Bush, Jamal Lewis, Fred Jackson, Chester Taylor WR: Calvin Johnson, Santana Moss, Lance Moore, Nate Burleson TE: Jason Witten, Visanthe Shiancoe K: Mason Crosby, Nate Kaeding IDPs: Terrence McGee, Lawrence Timmons, Chris Hope, James Laurinaitis, Tramon Williams It's a 12 team league. Here's the lineup: QB RB WR TE WR/TE WR/RB WR/RB K IDP IDP IDP Not too shabby for a default team. Even though I run this league, I missed the online draft and had to rely on my default settings.
  7. Here's the league info: TBD2 (Use Your TBD Username As Your Team Name!) Yahoo! ID#: 543379 Password: 4BRUUUUUUUUCE!!! Live Online Draft Date and Time: 08/30/09 @ 2:00pm EST
  8. Tell me 'bout it. I had the pleasure of attending that game (my first year as a season ticket holder). Ah, the days when Bills fans were convinced that all this team needed to succeed was Mike Nugent.
  9. Yeah, like the Giants, Vikings and Titans. I get tired of seeing the Bills' coaches looking outmatched on a weekly basis as well. Still, switching to a 3-4.....how is that going to help? This team is ill equipped for a 3-4 right now. It was frutstrating, wasn't it? Cullen Jenkins and Johnny Jolly were also very good in that game. Raji's play got all the TV hype, as it was his first time out there, but there were other standout performances on the Packer D line.
  10. Still looking for 3 owners in the TBD2 league.
  11. I still need for all the owners to designate their keeper players. So far, only the following teams have done so: Absolut Power Wu Tang Financial Kickin Wing BUFFALO RULES Also, the following teams have paid their fees for the season: Absolut Power Blitzing Barracudas Raging Waves You can post keepers on the league's message board in the designated thread and get those fees sent in via PayPal (RRich@GoBills.net).
  12. Our league is going into its' 6th season and we a dedicated owner to join us. It's a 10 team league and we have payouts in the following amounts: 1st place: $100 2nd place: $75 3rd place: $50 4th place: $25 The cost for the league is $32 and must be paid via PayPal, which is also how league winnings are disbursed. If you're interested, PM me for more details.
  13. Here's the thing, JA: I don't defend ANY scenario. I think they're all messed up, each and every one of 'em. Guess it's just me.
  14. I can be a bit more flexible w/ our draft date for the keeper league, since, unlike Yahoo!, we're not @ the mercy of a calendar as to when we can schedule it. I've heard from a couple others w/ concerns on the draft date. I guess I can move it; I don't want to have it too early but we can't try to do it on the eve of the start of the season either. We'll work something out.
  15. Well, Crabtree is going back into the draft pool for next year, so I guess it's him.
  16. Had to be that cigarette smoking man from the grassy knoll. Just had to be.
  17. ...Roethlisberger is overrated, still sucks and the Steelers are just a lucky team.
  18. It was a combination of things that made it look even worse: 1. Injuries to their RB corps made them a pass happy team 2. Roethlisberger is a guy who works hard to keep plays alive, which means he has the tendency to hold onto the ball way longer than most O linemen would like; not good for pass protection schemes 3. Injuries and inconsistent play forced them to shuffle their lineup a bit (Darnell Stapleton, Max Starks, Willie Colon, and Kendall Simmons all were moved into/out of the lineup) It was a perfect storm of crap for 'em.
  19. Yeah, like the one he put right in Leonard Pope's hands @ the end zone and the one that was right over the shoulder and into Sean McDonald's hands that were both dropped.
  20. I was talking 'bout his touch on the ball as well as his decision making. For him, it was an improvement, as he looked horrible before playing against "scrubs". I haven't seen any highlights from Panthers camp, but they say he's actually doing very well for a rookie. I'm interested to see if he has any kinda impact. As for Orakpo, I hear he actually had a couple moments where he got pressure, including one where he failed to wrap up the QB and lost out on a sack. I didn't see it, so I guess I'll know for sure once I catch the replay.
  21. Yep. He ran that TD right into the end zone we were sitting in (where I now have my season tickets). It was awesome!
  22. It was 31-0 (Psycho Ward 86 and I were there), the same score they beat the Bills by in the season finale @ Foxboro en route to their Lombardi trophy.
  23. Ah well. The fleas come w/ the dog. Oops!
  24. Naivete: Getting behind the wheel of a car after having too much to drink and not expecting bad things to happen.
