He was on that American Idol show. My wife likes him, so I asked her if she'd be interested in going there to see him in concert. She said yes, so now we have a date. That's a big deal for us 'old folks'.

My wife and I are going to see Ruben Studdard in concert there tonight.

Network television isn't all that bad anymore. The CSI shows are all pretty good, as are the Law and Order shows, Without a Trace, and my favorite show on TV (and 2nd favorite of all time), NYPD Blue.

Back when I did watch baseball, Montreal was the team I rooted for. Man, did they have players: Tim Raines, Andre Dawson, Ron LeFlore, Andres Galaragga, Larry Walker, Moises Alou, Delino DeShields, Marquis Grissom, Pedro Martinez, and a lot more. When the strike hit in '94 with the Expos having the best record in MLB, I took that as my cue to give up MLB. Well, that and the crappy treatment the fans got by the players and management.

It could be that, too. Maybe they'll make it up some other way, if that is the case.

Now, who would actually buy a Flowers jersey? What a ridiculous name!

I should explain this for those who don't get it: I'm quite sure it is the ineffectiveness (or perceived ineffectiveness for those who support Drew; I'm neutral in this war) of Bledsoe that has people scrambling to give us JP updates ad nauseum. I, myself, have gone on and on about the OL, the WRs dropping passes, and other factors in our 0-2 start, but I don't think those who look upon JP as a 'savior' are doing so for any of those reasons. Do you?
