  1. Gary, the defense is good, but without a consistent pass rush (one game does not cut it; they have to do it for the rest of the season), they'll never be a shutdown unit and will continue to struggle on 3rd downs. Yesterday was a good sign that maybe things will change. Then again, it could be a fluke. We'll see this Sunday what happens.
  2. Aaaaaaah, shaddup and send the damn email!!
  3. Vincent didn't get beat for a score, but he was late reacting to numerous plays during those games and his man caught the pass with seemingly nobody covering him. I don't think he's done just yet. I think he would really benefit right now from a move to FS. Milloy and Vincent do bring that veteran experience to the defense, but we still need solid coverage. Even with them on the field, I saw a bunch of times where guys in the secondary (even Vincent and Milloy) would look at each other in confusion after being beat for a big gain. A lot of this would be fixed by a good pass rush, so it isn't all on the DBs.
  4. The backside pursuit would've caught Konrad before he had a chance to score, but it would've been a big gain.
  5. I have it on tape.
  6. Sounds reasonable to me.
  7. True. Maybe top 11 money, but that's about it.
  8. No, no, Clements. You listen to rtconner. Who doesn't?
  9. He's worthless every day. All he does is spend time on a message board. What idiot would do that?
  10. Why can't Chris McAllister, generally regarded as one of the best cover corners in the league, cover Evans? You think he's never had to go up against a guy with his speed?
  11. Why? Didn't annointing Quentin Griffin the next Barry Sanders work for him?
  12. Instead of starting numerous threads, maybe we can pitch all our trade ideas in one.
  13. Maybe that's why Sam Adams threw a hissy fit on the sidelines. They had the OL in there trying to stop Sammy Morris.
  14. Vincent has not looked so hot all year. He looks like someone who should be moved to FS. Milloy is much better at SS than Wire, but he's not that great in coverage (remember the Kansas City game last year?). Now, in run support, he's very good.
  15. If yesterday is reflective of this entire season, then sure. I'm going on the season to date.
  16. I think they played okay, for the most part. The first half was a bit shaky, but they got it going a bit in the second half. The LG position is still a glaring weakness, though.
  17. The Redskins seem to be developing a pass rush, even if they have to send the corners and safeties more, like when Springs got the sack yesterday. That kind of pressure leads to turnovers, like Sean Taylor's interception. The more they do that, the more they'll be in the position to get turnovers. We didn't have a pass rush when he was here (still don't). Now, when he was coordinating the Titans' defense and had Kearse, Blaine Bishop, Samari Rolle, and other good players, they were able to get turnovers and pressure QBs.
  18. That would be great. Didn't you come to the preseason game last year, too?
  19. Reed is a monster! Hartwell and Suggs are good too. Boulware is still out, so he's no threat to the Bills.
  20. Good thing acting like a baby won't get you kicked off TBD. There'd be none of us left.
  21. Not necessarily. I think it depends on the circumstance. If they split him wide and he's got a #3 corner on him, he should be the go-to guy. If he's in the slot with a #1 or #2 corner on him, I wouldn't throw it.
  22. Hardly. Hey, I can't stand the Ravens. Living in this area, I have to deal with their trash-talking fans often. Plus, the whole thug mentality that he had up until the Atlanta incident didn't make me a fan of his either. Still, I give credit where it's due and this guy is the absolute best defensive player in the entire league. He'd be the first player I'd take if I were starting an NFL team and could pick from all the players available.
  23. He's a difference-maker. A guy who can change the outcome of a game almost singlehandedly. That's a rare thing to have, especially on the defensive end. Not since LT has a defensive player been as dominant.
  24. It was a decent effort. I loved the stiffarms he gave and the tough running he did. There is still room for improvement, as his speed is still nowhere near what it was. He's slow out of the backfield. If he were back to form, that run on the goal line would've been a TD easy. Still, he's on the right track and looks to be making an Edgerrin James-like comeback.
