  1. Baltimore has been hit w 'bout 22 inches of snow. Nice n windy out there now, so shovelling is futile.
  2. Same here in the Baltimore area. They closed us down @ noon today, and for all the snow we received, we could've worked the rest of the day easily.
  3. I'd rather see 'em bring in John Stallworth.
  4. Just watch any of these ESPN-ish "who's the greatest" polls and you'll find that out. Check your PMs.
  5. Yeah, but how many Super Bowls did they win?
  6. That may happen sooner than later.
  7. Whether you're pointing out a team's failure to win the Super Bowl in 5 years or if you're proclaiming that no matter which team wins this year's Super Bowl, they're still not as great as the team you root for that isn't even in the Super Bowl, you just sound silly.
  8. Judging by the style of play, he's best suited as a MLB in a 4-3. Maybe he can make the adjustment and be a solid inside LB in a 3-4, but I fear he's much like Jonathan Vilma, who is a very good 4-3 middle LB (All Pro for the Saints) who struggles in a 3-4 (his NY Jets days).
  9. Sorry, but the, "anyone that size can do it" argument doesn't really apply. That's like saying any 5-8 guy can run a 4.3 40 yard dash well into his 40s as Darrell Green once did. Ratliff is the exception, NOT the rule.
  10. The Bills practice in an indoor facility and only see the field on game days. They're no better in cold weather than the DTs you mention.
  11. Allowing me to play devil's advocate for a sec, it's true that having some Hall of Fame talent 'round you can only help. Imagine if you were a QB and could have weapons @ your disposal like Marion Motley and Dante Lavelli...
  12. ESPN has 'Bama's class rated 3rd while Rivals has it rated 5th. PENN STATE is 12th by Rivals, 11th by ESPN.
  13. Nobody on this board better defines the term "retarded contrarian" than Lori, that's for sure.
  14. What the heck are you talking 'bout? You must be mistaking me for one of those from the angry mob that bring up Jason Peters whenever possible. I'm not part of that crowd. You must be thinking of The Senator. As for the system, well, once the person who is voted on passes (for whatever nagging injury they may or may not have), then the alternate passes (for the same reason), then the third choice is selected, then gets hurt, and has to take the same route, then yes, I feel it gets a bit watered down.
  15. Clady was outstanding as a rookie last season....when he did NOT make the Pro Bowl. In fact, I had said that I thought he was clearly the best LT in the AFC last year. All he did this year was make first team All Pro, something I think is far more significant that being voted to the watered down Pro Bowl.
  16. Not really. Those 220lb guys do a great job of shedding blocks and stuffing the run. The Bills' D coordinators don't have to resort to tricks like lining 'em up in the gaps instead of placing 'em outside of the DEs to shut down everything outside. Draft that QB and watch that run defense improve. Oh, and don't worry if Clausen and Bradford are both off the board by then; just take the nest best one.
  17. What would you know 'bout Hammer's Lot?
  18. I actually liked it better when the draft party was just for the club seat owners. Less people; less irritation.
  19. I did preface my response by said IF I were GM and inclined to trading up. For the record, I would like the Bills to stay @ the ninth spot and get the best available player. Moving down is every bit the crap shoot as moving up, and depending on where you're looking to move, there's no guarantee the compensation is anything near what you'd hope for. Check the value chart. While it's not an exact science, it does kinda give you an idea of what kind of compensation a team would receive for moving down. Then, of course, there's the unpredictable runs on positions that tend to happen. So, you move down from #9 looking to nab a guy like Bulaga, then watch as an unexpected run on OTs begins and you miss out on your guy. Oops.
  20. Hey StlBills, did you know that most of those guys on that list will be RFAs due to the lack of a new CBA?
  21. Yeah, right. Don't try to con us.
  22. To me, they're still good for PTI and their news shows (Outside the Lines, E:60). Outside of that, it's just filler.
