I loved that. "I'm quitting after today, so it really doesn't matter...." He didn't do that one, but he had plenty of funny material. He talked about Bush wanting to give illegal aliens cards that would allow them to work menial labor, but have no rights. He said, "Uh, George, that's been done before, except you guys aren't talking about going over in boats and collecting people." Great! I put his performance just a notch below Jay London. He had some really funny lines, but there was a lot of space in between his funny little rants.

Yeah, the grape bit was funny. "The only fruit that hasn't been corrupted by the grapefruit in a fruit salad...", good stuff. Even when grapes 'die', they become raisins.

Maybe we should have some input from theblackbear on this one.

I took my wife to the Baltimore Improv last night to see 3 comedians that were on the show. She wanted to go as a birthday gift. I've never watched the show, but I have been to the Improv a few times before and all of the acts I've seen have been good. Anyway, the 3 guys from the show were all pretty good. The first one was a guy named Jay London. This guy looks like a combination of Alice Cooper and Tiny Tim, but he does some pretty funny stuff. His comedy is along the lines of Steven Wright, which I like. I thought his was the best set of the 3. The next guy was a crowd favorite, as he got a huge ovation when he was introduced. His name is Alonzo Bodden. They say he won the 3rd season, which was cancelled for that sorry "Father of the Pride" show. Anyway, he was very funny too. The last guy to perform (I don't know why the Alonzo guy wasn't last) was a guy named Gary Gulman. He was okay, but had some really funny rants (his rant about cookies was hysterical)! The opening act was a local guy who performed back in April. Those who were at the Offseason Tailgate here may remember him. His name is Erik Meyers and he is a trip! Overall, a nice evening, though the food was nothing special and overpriced ($7.95 for a plate of 7 'buffalo wings'). I would rate their sets in the same order in which they came on: 1. Jay London 2. Alonzo Bodden 3. Gary Gulman Those of you who were fans of the show: what do you think?

You could be right about that. Clements may have even used Wyche as a sounding board for ideas, since he has so much experience coaching in the NFL. Between Wyche and Mularkey, we should have enough experience should Clements be chosen as Notre Dame's new head coach.

Here's two guys to watch, one for each: ILB: Robert McCune, Louisville DPR4444 mentioned him as a sleeper. Actually, he may be one of those guys whose stock rises depending on how his workouts go. I watched tape of Louisville vs Tulane and he looked pretty good in that game. He's old for a rookie (he'll be 25 or 26, I believe) and has served in the National Guard over in Kuwait. I'd consider him if he's still around after the 2nd round. That's a huge if, though. OLB: Rian Wallace, Temple I watched Temple against Boston College and was impressed with Wallace. He does need help with his pass coverage skills, but besides that, he's good to go. The guy is very fast and very tough. He could be a good depth pick, if available.

I thought someone had lower level seats for that game available in the Trading Post. I could've read it wrong, though.

A lot depends on how healthy his knee is. If he can rebound, then he's worth a 2nd round pick. If not and either Vince Carter of Oklahoma or Jason Brown of North Carolina (I like this kid's potential!!) are still on the board, they become the better options.

Some think Johnson does better in small areas, yet could project to tackle. Huh??? If he does better in limited space, I want him playing inside, not on the outside where speed rushers will have a field day with him. He's a guy who wouldn't be my first choice, but he's talented enough and, very important for an interior OL in my opinion, MEAN enough to get it done. Kemoeatu has the meanness thing locked down, that's for sure. Some think he's too mean, as he beat the living daylights out of a player last year and got suspended for it. To go with that toughness, this kid has good technique and has surprisingly good athletic ability for a 6-4, 335lb lineman. I've watched quite a few Utah games this year and I think he was very good this year. Their spread offense used a lot of movement from the interior linemen and Kemoeatu did well in that respect.
