  1. Yeah, but you suck at bowling.
  2. Put your other avatar back on, cable.
  3. At least they get an extremely talented player to help out on returns and possibly at WR. I only hope they can continue to recruit some more talent for the offense. Last year, they did a good job of bringing in Morelli at QB and Connor at LB. This year, with Williams as a KR/WR and Dontey Brown at LB, they continue to bolster positions that have been very weak in recent years in terms of depth AND talent.
  4. Damn! It looks like there's going to be a whole lotta Bills fans there. Nice.
  5. They do have average at best point guards, but that's nothing new for the franchise. For many years, even back to the Ralph Sampson-Akeem Olajuwon "Twin Towers" days, they never had a strong point guard to lead them, and they suffered because of it. Not until they got Kenny Smith did they have a decent point guard there. Yao is, with the exception of his rebounding, a solid center. As I said before, rebounding is the key for being an effective center though. Until he gets stronger on the boards, he'll never take the step forward to being among the best. Besides that, considering his shooting ability (especially from the free throw line), passing ability, defense, and mental toughness (he has NEVER backed down from playing any of the top centers and has always given them trouble, Shaq included), he's right up there with any of the top centers now.
  6. I didn't say he deserved to start, but he does deserve Pro Bowl consideration.
  7. Their stats are both pretty good, but Robinson also has seen more action his way, being a rookie CB, than Bailey has. I agree with you that Robinson is deserving of consideration, though.
  8. Please tell me you're joking. You really believe that Terrence McGee is a better CB than Champ Bailey?
  9. Even if they're not one of the top teams, Duke takes a lot of 3 pointers as well. They've been successful on getting guys who can not only defend the full length of the court, but can also shoot, including their post players. Very few college teams can compare with them when it comes to creating/running with turnovers and also stretching a 4 point lead into a 20 point win down the stretch. Usually, if they enter the last 5 minutes of a game up by 6 points, they win. I'm a Tar Heels fan, so that pains me to say, but I give credit where it's due.
  10. Just which of the two did you think DIDN'T deserve to go to the Pro Bowl? Farrior is playing well enough to garner votes for NFL Defensive Player of the Year and Porter is having another solid year. Heck, they left off CB Deshea Townshend, who also is playing Pro Bowl caliber football for them.
  11. How about Reed or Russell Copeland?
  12. Sigh. Phoenix was mentioned as an example to show that there are teams in the NBA that play good, fudamental basketeball. I haven't watched enough of this season to give you statistical data as to what percentage of NBA teams are fundamentally sound and what percentage isn't. It's just an example, that's all.
  13. I have seen highlights of Sonics games and they don't look that bad overall. Ray Allen is having an MVP-type season for them. He looks incredible.
  14. I think what he is trying to convey to people is that Phoenix, as a team, DOES play the game the way it is supposed to be played. Does every team do that? More than likely they don't, but I don't think his comments are to reflect on the entire NBA. BTW, NBA games are 48 minute games, aren't they?
  15. 1983 New Year's Day New Orleans, Louisiana; the Superdome Penn State 27 - Georgia 23 Herschel Walker held to just over 100 yards, one of his worst games as a collegian (he truly was one of the absolute best players in college football history!). Penn State wins the national title!!!! What made this one special was the fact that I was there to witness it.
  16. Reed. I like Moulds, but Reed was special. Great route runner with reliable hands (save the Pepper Johnson-influenced 'alligator arms' he had in Super Bowl XXV).
  17. If you have an urge to talk Bills, here's a novel approach: TALK BILLS!!!! Start a thread, offer an opinion. Somebody, probably me, will answer.
  18. Humor them.
  19. Ditto, except much louder.
  20. What's a cowbell?
  21. Just off the top of my head, I can think of two guys who are WAY better than Allen at this point in their careers: Steve Hutchinson of Seattle and Kynan Forney of Atlanta. Hutchinson is perhaps playing better than any guard in the NFL with the exception of Alan Faneca of Pittsburgh. What a disgrace.
  22. Most people only think of the heavyweight division when they think of boxing. That's a shame. The lighter weights almost always have the best athletes and the most technically refined boxers. The heavyweights do have exceptions to the rule (Jack Johnson, Joe Louis, Gene Tunney, Jack Dempsey, Muhammad Ali, etc.), but more often than not, they aren't the best athletes or boxers. They're just the biggest.
