  1. I agree. He's a much more mature QB than most rookies. He'll be just fine. I am impressed with what Evans can do, though. I think both teams did well with their first round picks. Barring injury, I expect to see both players become great pros.
  2. Who's Aeneas Williams?
  3. Actually, I think Posey is doing well. They do need more depth behind the starters, but I have no problem with the 3 starters we have in there, other than Fletcher's coverage problems, which can be masked with a solid pass rush and better support from the safeties, which seems to be improving.
  4. At Denny's? Not around here, it isn't. I don't know if their menus are the same everywhere. Too bad, because I used to love their chili. It was one of the best things about going to Denny's.
  5. You're probably right. The tickets will be more on eBay than whatever you'd pay at the game, I'm sure. Good luck. Stop by Lot 1, Pole 5 before the game.
  6. Exactly what would the Steelers have to gain by putting guys like Burress and Roethlisberger out there, in a game that is meaningless to them? Giving them this game off means they don't have to play for 3 weeks, which should help them recover to the point where they can be effective in the playoffs. If I were in the same position as Cowher, I'd sit both of them and maybe even Bettis.
  7. Uhhhhhhhhhhh (Homer-like drooling)!!!!!!
  8. Good post. I'm still partial to using the 2nd round pick on the best interior OL available. If Elton Brown of Virginia or CJ Brooks of Maryland are there, that should be the pick. However..... An impact player at safety would also be great. Ernest Shazor of Michigan would be a great addition to this defense, if he's still around at our 2nd round pick. If he's there, I'd take him and hope to land a guy like G Chris Kemoeatu of Utah in the 3rd round. A name to watch at OLB is Rian Wallace of Temple. He's raw, but has a wealth of athletic ability. If he's there in the 4th or 5th, it would be a nice pick. I'm okay with Lindell at kicker. I certainly wouldn't pass up a great guard or safety prospect for Nugent.
  9. Mmmm.........fried bologna!!!
  10. This team is NOT overrated! Losing the first 4 games was just a ploy to get people to stop paying attention to the Bills. McNally is a genius, McGahee is second only to the late Walter Payton, Evans is perhaps the best to ever play at his position and even though we haven't seen much of Losman, he's great too. C'mon, Kelly! Get with the program.
  11. Around the parking lots, I'm sure you'll find plenty of folks willing to sell you tickets. I don't think it'll be that much. Considering how much it costs to get tickets in Baltimore, I KNOW it won't be that much. As for being sure that you'll be able to "grab a pair", uh......well.........
  12. He can see that he's going to have a fun time keeping the jerks off of her, too.
  13. Hahaha!!! Great scene. I love the shot of the people in line, with all sorts of weapons. The best one was when Leslie Nielsen slapped the lady (I'm pretty sure it was a lady) not once, but twice.
  14. Well, eat some crow then! Nanny nanny naaaaaaah! Told ya so! I knew, even when we were 0-4......
  15. Yeah, but where was your advice about getting a bigger bed when we were 0-4? Your complaining about complaining is getting ridiculous!
  16. It should be a great crowd on Sunday. The 12th man WILL be heard!!!
  17. Yeah, but where was your loyalty when they were 0-4? Eat some crow. You complainers are always complaining about all the complaining you complain about. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!
  18. As reliable as a Timex, aren't they?
  19. Well, there's always the "complaining about the complaining" crowd to rely on.
  20. I lay kinda across the bed. She's nice enough to let me take up all the space. A new bed was to be what next year's refund was going to, but we had to borrow some money to get our fence for the backyard and plan to use the refund to repay it. Oh well, my back isn't broken...............yet.
  21. Ours is from JC Penney. We bought it (sectional w/sleeper AND 2 recliners) with our tax refund money from last year.
  22. Not an altogether horrible proposition. Our couch is the bomb! It's actually more comfortable than the FULL SIZED BED we sleep on!
  23. This will be an interesting week in our household. Actually, it will be a very busy week, as I'll be working today through Wednesday as will Psycho Ward 86. We fly up to Erie late Thursday night, so hopefully, weather permitting, we'll be available for any pregame festivities. She got a Roethlisberger jersey for Christmas from my Mother (away; the home ones are practically impossible to get right now), but she'll be wearing her Hines Ward jersey to the game. My brother, also a Steelers fan, got a Roethlisberger Miami of Ohio (where Big Ben went and my brother graduated from) jersey from his wife. I can't wait to see that. Some of the people from BillsZone did a Secret Santa gift exchange this year and I got my only Bills gift, a white Bills cap, from that. I'll be wearing my new "coach's cap" on Sunday, so I hope it isn't too cold. Just in case, I'll bring my Bills winter cap too. Neither the Psycho or I do much in the way of trash talking, but I'd be willing to bet that the game will come up in a discussion or two some time between now and Sunday. I just hope that the people at Lot 1, Pole 5 are on their best behavior on game day...............or I'll have to be on my worst!
