  1. Has anyone seen Mike in Syracuse too?
  2. This thread is par for the course.
  3. I envy you. Congrats!
  4. That would be nice.
  5. ...and I really do appreciate it this time.
  6. You shouldn't hate.
  7. What a great group of folks! Thanks to my wife and to all of you who sent well wishes on my birthday. We had a blast in NYC. We were there to see The Lion King on Broadway, my Christmas gift to my wife. So, even though it was MY day, it was HER gift that brought us there. Thanks also to BillsNYC and to billsfanone, who met us for dinner and drinks yesterday before the show. I hope we'll get a chance to see you guys again soon.
  8. I did, and then moved him to RDE (traded Schobel to Pittsburgh for a first round pick). He had 2 Pro Bowl seasons there. I had a nice pair of bookend DEs with Gildon and Tyler Brayton, who has made 4 straight Pro Bowls at LDE. Now, I have Bill Swancutt (actually draft eligible this year out of Oregon State) as my starting RDE. He just had 2 fumble recoveries, one for a TD, in his last game. He's not as good as Gildon was, but he's not a huge dropoff, plus he's young.
  9. Write this down: No matter what happens, there will be incessant whining, complaining, excuse-making, bitching, name-calling, bragging, and taunting on message boards in Buffalo and wherever Drew ends up playing next.
  10. You shouldn't hate. One thing I do think is interesting is how certain players, upon retirement, become coaching candidates. In my current Madden franchise, the one where the Bills have won 4 straight SBs and are 8-1 in the current year (as are Seattle and Baltimore), the Browns have Mularkey as their head coach (he left Buffalo after the first 2 SB wins; Jerry Gray is the Bills head coach now) and Junior Seau is the defensive coordinator! Speaking of that franchise, I'll be interested to see the SB come down to Buffalo and Seattle. The Seahawks' only loss is to the Bills and their defense is awesome, scoring a TD almost every game. They've pitched 3 or 4 shutouts this year, too. Plus, it would be the 2nd SB featuring 2 black head coaches (Romeo Crennell is the Seahawks' coach). The Bills beat the New Orleans Saints one time, and their head coach is Ted Cottrell.
  11. Retract your claws for just a bit here, Steve.
  12. You shouldn't hate.
  13. Link??
  14. My Bills team has Chris Simms as the backup. He's not bad, either. Then again, w/ Evans and Moulds (both are All-Pros) to throw to and McGahee running the ball, it isn't that tough. Even Campbell has been surprisingly good, making 2 Pro Bowls. If only the real world were so easy, huh?
  15. If only GMs were as stupid as the computer on Madden: I traded Bledsoe and a 2nd round pick to the 'Skins for Sean Taylor, who is now a 99 rated FS. I also traded to acquire Vernon Carey to play LG and Chester Pitts to play LT. Right now, they're rated 96 (Carey) and 95 (Pitts). Bob Sanders (from my hometown Erie Pa!!) is our starting SS, and he's a 95 rating. Losman has been the starter for the past 4 seasons and he's got a 99 rating. BTW, the Bills have WON the past 4 Super Bowls. In Season 5, they're currently 8-1, in a 3 way tie w/ Baltimore (now coached by Tom Clements) and Seattle (now coached by Romeo Crennel) for the best record in the NFL.
  16. I disagree.
  17. I dunno. I figured whether we re-sign Jennings (I hope not) or go after someone like Tra Thomas (I'd love to see that happen), we were going to pay for it.
  18. I read something about that on another site. I think it has something to do with a deal from last year, but I'm not positive. I'll check it out.
  19. That's good news for Jennings and his agent.
  20. Who's Spkies?
  21. If we end up getting David Baas and Michael Boley with our first 2 picks, I'd be okay with that. Those players would help out in critical areas of need: LG and a pass rushing LB.
  22. I haven't seen anything posted about him in a while.
