  1. There's always been rumors surrounding Hill Street and the references (or perceived references) to Buffalo. Actually, the scenes of the precinct were shot in Chicago.
  2. Or, like the Bills w/McGahee, someone will benefit from getting him. I'm not saying Clarrett will or won't be a good NFL player, but the possibility exists for him to end up either way. To automatically ASSume he'll fail is to ignore the possibility that he'll do well. Personally, I hope he does fail, as he really doesn't seem to appreciate his talents. But, I realize that there's a chance he will be a good player.
  3. What, you guys don't eat salads?
  4. You're fun at a tailgate. I like that tomato salad that LancasterSteve made for last year. Mmmmmm..........tomato salad!!!
  5. The Shield is a very good show! I have season one on DVD and plan to get the other 2 as well (videotaped seasons 2 and 3).
  6. I think I heard this story before. Numerous times. Are you the type of person that holds grudges for centuries and needs to some day seek therapy?
  7. Hahahahahaha!!!!!! To his credit, he admitted that he didn't take care of business and that he needs to do better. He'd better hurry; he's running (slowly?) out of chances.
  8. Who said Henry Simmons was "in the same league" with Dennis Franz???? All I said was that in the interrogations, he's good. He's very intimidating and can get what they need out of a suspect. I made no mention of him being, as an actor, on par with Franz. That would be incorrect. I liked the tormented Sorenson too, but didn't like how they left things unersolved with him. I attribute a lot of that to head writer David Milch leaving the show and the other writers 'losing their way' for a while. Charlotte Ross was very good on the show, and it sucks not having her on there. The problem was with her marrying Andy and becoming a mother, they'd painted her character into a corner that would've been difficult to come out of. I do agree that it is a great drama, but not the best ever. It's not even Bochco's best ever, as that distinction has to go to my all-time favorite TV show, the one that laid the groundwork for many shows that followed (including Blue): Hill Street Blues. It redefined TV dramas.
  9. My wife loves Monk and tivos it every Friday night, PastaJoe. I've watched a few episodes and I do think it's a good show.
  10. Those uniforms don't look that bad, Udonkey. They're certainly better than the ones they have now.
  11. Same here. I'm still patiently waiting for season #3 to be released on DVD.
  12. I figured as much, as I watch a lot of the shows on A&E (American Justice is my favorite, but I also like City Confidential and Cold Case Files) and I never see any ads for that show on there.
  13. I thought Inside the Actors Studio was on Bravo?
  14. Overpaid and underproductive. Good move by Crennel. He'll sink or swim using "his players".
  15. Yeah, he was great at interrogating people. Later on, he started doing less of that because he was mentoring Sorenson and Clark and Baldwin became the squad's interrogator. He's very good in that role, too.
  16. True, he's a solid blocker, especially on blitzes. He does, however, have problems as a receiver out of the backfield and always has had them. He's a decent prospect, though not perfect. I still say someone will give him a shot.
  17. My wife has explained to me that the only reality shows worth watching are the ones produced by Mark Burnett, who does Survivor, The Apprentice, and her all-time favorite, The Amazing Race (I think that's what it's called, right?). I could care less. They're all pseudo TV, courtesy of the last actors' strike. Thanks, Hollywood. Or, should I thank the real source of most TV programming, the BBC?
  18. Gore might be around in the 4th. If so, who knows? Would I bet on the Bills taking him? Probably not. But, one can never tell what cards Donahoe will play on draft day. Keep me out of your squabbles, please.
  19. Stop trying to get me to cross over to the Dark Side, Kenneth! My wife tivo's and tapes the Dog, the Bounty Hunter series on A&E, in the event that I ever do "cross" and begin watching them. I'm tempted, as I've seen a show about him before and it was good, but it would mean crossing the line.
  20. Alias I may end up watching, as they're now available on DVD, but I have no interest in watching any makeover shows. Too close to reality TV, which I will not watch.
  21. ...foreword by noted expert in the field, stevestojan.
  22. Yep, it's finally going off the air. I guess there's no need for me to watch ABC any more, unless Blind Justice turns out to be good. I'll give it a shot. The replacement show that ran last year in Blue's spot, Line of Fire, was very good, but didn't get the ratings, I guess. Too bad.
  23. Gore had a relatively healthy year last year and while he's lost the burst of speed he had to a large degree, he still has some decent speed and is still a powerful runner with good size. Before the injuries, he was good enough to be ahead of Willis AND Portis on the depth chart.
