  1. How'd you guess she likes the Steelers? Who told? Bell fell out of favor by: 1. Not staying healthy 2. Larry Foote playing very well while he was out 3. Being injured a lot 4. A breakout season by Farrior 5. Getting hurt a lot Oh, and he had a lot of difficulty staying healthy enough to play for the Steelers.
  2. Barron? No way. He'll be the first OL taken in the draft, possibly as high as 2nd (long shot, as I think Miami will go after Ronnie Brown). Brown? Maybe, but a long shot. Barnes? There's a good chance he'll be there, as his post Senior Bowl efforts have his stock falling. Johnson? He's one of the guys I really wouldn't mind seeing the Bills end up with. I could see him being around at our pick. Terry? He should be there as well.
  3. Drafting the best player available (which is a relative term, because it relies on the evaluations of the team, which isn't foolproof) isn't always the best move. I'll bet the Titans valued Ben Troupe as the best available at the time, but they would've been better suited using that pick on an O lineman (maybe Justin Smiley or Jacob Rogers) or even a linebacker (like Dontarrious Thomas), something they now acknowledge they really need. Maybe if they had taken Thomas there wouldn't be a need to go after a guy like Derrick Johnson of Texas this year, though they could still look to bring in a CB like Pac Man Jones of WVA, especially after letting Rolle go.
  4. I don't think either the 'need' or 'best available' situation fits every team every time. I wouldn't say never do either. Sometimes taking the best player works, as it did for the Bills in drafting McGahee with the first round pick a couple years ago. Sometimes it doesn't, as was the case when Tennessee drafted Ben Troupe last year. Then again, you can draft for need and end up better off (Ruben Brown) or no better and maybe even worse (Erik Flowers).
  5. I prefer Pardon The Interruption to Mike and Mike. NFL Network is good at times too.
  6. I guess this could be mistaken for a football related post.
  7. As of yet, teams don't put the same emphasis on guards and centers in the first round that they do tackles. Good ones, very good ones, can be found in round 2. Actually, most of the guards and centers will be taken after the first round. But, I do think that there will be a few guards taken in the 2nd, possibly before we pick. Even still, there will be a good interior OL available when our pick comes up.
  8. I'll be more interested to see how we do in this year's draft. There's a lot of good talent at the interior OL positions, and I sure hope we end up with a couple good ones.
  9. Happy birthday, Lew. Enjoy.
  10. I remember when Sling Blade came out and Roger Ebert's review called it arguably the best film of all time. It's close. Very good monologue. So, why was it that the lawnmower wouldn't work right?
  11. I don't think I can make it. I will be in the area around the time of the draft, though.
  12. Oh. I get it. I get jokes.
  13. A sad misspelling, indeed.
  14. When was the =RJ fad ever funny?
  15. 1499.74m I still suck at this game, but it is kinda fun.
  16. I've often been told I need to develop a sense of humor. I'll work on that. I'm glad you were just kidding.
  17. ...said the light switch?
  18. You're right. I shouldn't be suggestioning such things. BTW, you shouldn't hate.
