His blocking may have been the thing that impressed me the most when looking at his college video. Blocks until the whistle and blocks even if the play is on the other side of the field 30 yards away. He’s gonna frustrate a lot of DBs in his career.

IIRC, Hooks caught a long pass on a previous play to get us in Hail Mary position to begin with. One of my favorite experiences in that stadium.

I appreciate and respect your thoughts here but frankly, we aren’t entitled to more information about Josh’s sideline assessment. But the league doesn’t do itself any favors by leaving everything open for speculation by us armchair QBs and MDs.

I believe the Pegulas are on the hook for costs above the initial $1.4b so I’d be interested to see if that’s changed at all.

Worthy’s limitations were obvious when watching his college body of work. More than a few of us said before the draft that he has to be an off ball receiver to be effective because he’s too easily disrupted with press coverage. He’s weak and light as a feather and straight ahead speed just isn’t enough to overcome that.

When GMs and HCs hitch their wagons to a QB, that QB must be successful. Schoen and Daboll have no choice but to see Jones succeed. I’m skeptical because in his 6th season in this league, he’s still too inconsistent for me to be convinced he’s ever gonna arrive in time to save their jobs.

I’m given to hyperbole from time to time to emphasize a point, so I’ll pump the brakes a little. But the mere insertion of Cooper changed the dynamic for the Titans and seemed to open it up for others to have good games. We’ll learn more when the A22 comes out.

Cooper, Coleman, and Shakir have the makings of a difficult trio to defend. Throw in Kincaid and whatever Cook or Davis can contribute, and this might be bordering on juggernaut.

Classic tale of two halves. Cooper needed to atone and he did in fine style. My favorite plays may have been the two Davis runs where Spencer Brown annihilated two defenders and Hollins preventing three would be tacklers from making a stop on Davis’s TD run. I so much appreciate that type of effort.

To prevent against other types of head injuries. Can you or anyone else here explain how a helmet prevents the brain from moving inside the cranium and smashing into the inside of the scalp? Because if they cant, which they don’t, then they only offer a modicum of protection against concussions. They do, however, protect against lacerations, facial injuries, blows to the head, etc.

The idea that helmets can prevent concussions is simply inaccurate. They offer minimal protection at best.

Seems we’ve had this same discussion about helmets and how they can mitigate concussions many times here over the years. Bottom line is that until a device is invented that can prevent the brain from sloshing around and smashing into the side of the skull then helmets, and whatever extra padding you wish to add to them, will continue to offer very little protection.

He’s been the model of inconsistency and that’s probably the best thing I can say about him at this time. He still guesses wrong too often for my liking, especially on play fakes.

Mike Edwards might be the biggest waste of a FA signing next to Vontae Davis. At least we got a half out of Davis thiugh.
