  1. I think the All 22 will show that Josh had passing options on that play and made the wrong choice to run it instead. I can’t blame him for being confident as had already scored to TDs on the ground, but the Ravens were hellbent on not letting that happen. I think there were a couple guys open post snap, but I need the All 22 to confirm.
  2. I think the play-calling was more geared to controlling possession and keeping Henry off the field. Not a totally wrong strategy, especially on a day like yesterday, given the stat I heard this morning: in their five losses this season, all by seven points or less, Henry had less than 20 carries and less than 90 yards. That said, yeah, I would like to see Josh throw it more, too. But unless Cooper is involved, he has limited options as we’ve seen at times this season.
  3. Brady has had the same introductory “get to know a little bit about you” interview in the can for years. I hope his statement above can calm the nerves of the pearl-clutching knitting circle around here. Like I said previously, it’s Saturday, the day of the week with the least amount to do for teams preparing for Sunday game.
  4. It’s friggin Saturday for crissakes. Every aspect of game planning on both sides of the ball have been installed and practiced already. Brady can certainly spare a half hour on a day with not much to do.
  5. Can they shoot lightning out of their arses like William Wallace?
  6. Gonna give the Ravens the ol’ groot and smoot. Or is it the ol’ smoot and groot? I always get the order confused.
  7. I’m not suggesting it will be a factor, just that it will be something they’ve not yet experienced. Regarding long sleeves: sometimes cold footballs and long sleeves don’t go well together. I’ll be interested to see how many of the skill players opt to wear them.
  8. Perhaps, but regardless, it will be the coldest temp that Jackson, Henry, and other Ravens have ever played in.
  9. That field was a mess! Old time football. Loved seeing that. Also nice to see the crowd at The Locker Room going nuts. Was supposed to be there with some buddies as well but woke up with a fever and had to pass.
  10. Great minds, Simon, great minds.
  11. And along that same line of thinking, if the opportunity is there, our D should make it a point to hit Lamar on every read option, whether he keeps it or not. Every. Time. I thought Watt and the OLB missed several golden opportunities to do just that last Saturday.
  12. It’s been mentioned several times, but the three most key pieces in our base nickel were all out of the lineup when we faced the Ravens previously. That’s not a comment on whether or not we should use 3 LBs, but our base nickel just isn’t the same without those three players.
  13. Interesting name indeed. But it’s better than Gonad.
  14. Josh can do things with that arm that only a few people in the history of the world were/are capable of doing. It’s almost unfair.
  15. That blitz pickup by Johnson in the last video clip should be used as a teaching tool. An RB can’t do any better than that.
  16. Yep, that gunslinger mentality often got in the way of his football intellect, which was actually off the charts. He was seldom fooled by anything a defense did. I recall one of his early games with us against the Ravens and I’d never seen anyone move Ed Reed with his eyes the way Fitz did that day. Reed, perhaps the smartest safety in history, alluded to Fitz’s ability in that regard as well after that game. But again, that gunslinger mind set too often got to him. You just can’t triple hitch a long out from the far hash and expect it to get there on time.
  17. Out of all the openings still available, only two may be viewed as desirable; the Bears and Jags. And both of those are iffy as it stands currently. IMO, unless a prospective team has their franchise guy at QB already in place, a hot OC looking to move up has no place to go but down. If Brady isn’t convinced that Williams and Lawrence are long term answers, he would be better served by keeping his horse hitched to his current 1st ballot HOF QB and continue to further cement his rep as an offensive mastermind.
  18. Yep, and every team in the league would gladly take him as their starting CB. I know we certainly would.
  19. Once again, it was the gift-wrapped turnovers that made it a close game. Skylar Thompson didn’t do much at all let alone put up a challenge.
  20. Tomlin is too stubborn to go back on the great decision, one he got tons of accolades for, to sit Fields and go with Wilson earlier in the season.
