Does water work for neutering, too?
-
I think the term "touch pass" is a foreign concept to him.
-
But it's just not in the eyes of the scouts and other personnel people that are there. It would have been preferable, a way to add some pluses in the plus column if he participated, but that's not the same thing as attaching any red flags because he isn't. Next week I'll be privy to a little info and I won't be shocked to learn that he did very well in his interviews this week. I think we'll learn he actually checked a couple of boxes in that plus column. I think you and other fans may be projecting their own disappointment because they needed to see him in action this week. I'm disappointed, too.
-
Sure it would have been nice, but it’s not nearly the disaster you seem to think it is, either. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING these players do on the field the field this week is going to amount to more or less than what they’ve put on video over the course of their college careers. Rudolph has been seen in person by the scouting community numerous times. They will get a close up sense of how the ball comes out when he is asked to workout by various teams over the next couple of months, too. It is only a disappointment for fans who want to see him perform, but not the teams on hand at the Senior Bowl. Rudolph is making an impression on them, regardless.
-
Right? Hey, I bet you had no clue that decision making has to be quicker inside the red zone because the field is shorter and more congested. That article was chock full of groundbreaking insights.
-
Yeah. I just skimmed it and thought it was funny he mentioned that Mayfield struggles when you disrupt his rhythm.
-
QBs struggle when their rhythm is disrupted? Who knew?! Ground breaking analysis.
-
He will have plenty of opportunity to do all that between now and the draft and under a lot more focused scrutiny by teams interested in him. He’s made himself available to meet this week and that’s probably more important at this juncture. It would have been a bonus for him to play, but it’s not a negative at all. On another note, I’ve see a lot of worry about the offense he ran in college. That’s not the issue for me. Rather it’s the defenses, or lack thereof, that he was exposed to. College DCs tend to play the same coverage schemes week after week vs. these kinds of offenses. That is the major challenge imo.
-
Senior Bowl is a piece of the puzzle. Whether or not it’s minor depends on how these players respond during these week. Not much will be discovered in terms of physical ability, but how a player performs in interviews, interacts with teammates, assimilates new schemes, etc., can be determinative much of the time.

Sabres & NHL 2017-18 - Entry Draft on June 22
K-9 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in Off the Wall Archives
It figures that Eichel would be involved in a high percentage of our scoring, but I think that’s a bit of a double edged sword on such a low scoring team. That’s not a knock on Jack at all, but he’s all we got. A point a game player on a team this poor offensively is truly amazing though. As for Harrington, I agree. But there is no need to insult asses like that. -

Jack now a shade over a point per game. Very nice considering the slow start. -
My favorite Wilkerson photo. Freakishly long arms.

Every NT, regardless of height is going to have to play sound technique or he is gonna get his ass handed to him, regardless of his height. Height is simply not the concern you make it sound like it is. In fact, all things being equal between a 6'5" or a 6'3" NT, most coaches would prefer the taller player. I don't agree that technique has undergone some grand evolution, either. Line play, since time began, is about leverage. Athletes and schemes have changed, but that's not the same thing. I think your comparison to Branch is spot on. Vea can play any of the interior positions on the DL and his ability in that regard is what sets him apart.
-
What aspect is changing? Are you suggesting there is a movement towards shorter centers and guards in the league? Interior OLmen average 6’4”. I won’t belabor the point so I’ll just say that height is not a concern for a nose tackle if his technique is sound. And if it isn’t, it won’t matter if he’s shorter, anyway.
-
Our two best NTs of all time (with apologies to Freddy), were Ted Washington and Pat Williams, 6’4” and 6’3” inches, respectively. Height is not a concern if a nose tackle can consistently play with the proper pad level. There have been many great NTs who were tall.

Lenny from Sloan is still one of my all time favorites. Still miss Hogboy. His comedic character development was great.

What a ridiculous proposition for ESPN to put forth. It’s bad enough to compare players in the same sport from different eras but to compare two players from different sports raises the level of absurdity to new levels. ESPN continues to do all it can to dumb down America.

Is this Jags loss McDermott's fault?

Another “Gilmore got the Pats*** to the Super Bowl” thread? No. Again. -
Gilmore got the Patriots*** to the Super Bowl? No.

Sabres & NHL 2017-18 - Entry Draft on June 22

Only one injury? I don't think that's true. Several Sabres suffered bruised labia. Agree with everything here, especially about Lehner's uncanny ability to take himself out of position because he can't stop his mass once it's in motion. He also can't track a puck to save his life. I'm sure someone will be by shortly to tell us all about how his save % is upper echelon, etc. He is a poor goalie. Period. No need to apologize for a good vent, either. That team deserves every negative comment they get. They are too comfortable with losing and have been since the tank years. Somewhere, Nolan and Bylsma smile. -
Where would Mahomes go in this years draft?
K-9 replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think some answer this question through the prism of watching his limited NFL action in preseasaon and his one start late this season. While the scouting reports for this year’s prospects haven’t been compiled, I suspect that all things being equal in that respect, Mahomes would be the fourth rated QB overall this year. Remains to be seen where this year’s prospects end up in the predraft rankings.
