  1. But Brees can carry them if he has to. I don't think Cousins is that kind of QB on a regular basis.
  2. That's true, imo. Browns can't gamble that we pass on the same guy they like most.
  3. I agree; it's damned impressive when NOBODY and their mothers thought we'd get the equivalent of a 2nd for him. Great job by Beane and Co.
  4. Just spit ballin' and using the most common draft value charts that show Indy's pick is worth 2200, I'm gonna go Mike Ditka and offer them: 2018 1st, #12 2nd, #53 3rd, #65 4th, #121 5th, #166 6th, #187 2019 1st Still leaves us with picks in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounds this year. And with all that expected cap room next year, the loss of that first round pick can be mitigated in free agency. Not sure what the value of next year's #1 would be, but if it's at least 277 (and there's a decent chance it will be) then that gets us to the 2200 value of Indy's pick this year.
  5. Remains to be seen. Not our problem if he passes his physical in Cincy.
  6. I agree; we essentially got 2nd round value for Cordy and he's worth it if healthy, certainly. I wouldn't have minded keeping him, actually. But moving up those nine spots puts us on the threshold to make the bolder move into the top three. Nice.
  7. If they get into the top three they are assured of getting a higher rated prospect coming out of college than either Watson or Mahommes.
  8. Hypothetical: do you take the 60mph thrower with poor ball placement or the 55mph thrower with good ball placement?
  9. Could have used that on first and goal against the Jags. Should have, actually.
  10. He didn't publicly dis anybody, actually. But when some hack takes comments out of context by not providing the entire quote, that perception gets thrown out there.
  11. I hear that, but it depends on whether or not they have three QBs rated evenly vs. that ONE guy they’ve targeted. I suspect the latter.
  12. He joined them coming off a 9-7 season and leaves them coming off a 9-7 season with .500 and 7-9 seasons in between. Treading water at best; the definition of mediocrity. For me, I can’t make non failure mean the same as successful. Although, he leaves them trending upward.
  13. He might flourish in Bmore. If there is one thing Flacco does well, it’s the deep ball which is what Sammy does best.
  14. There are too many holes every year for teams. But all those other holes combined don't begin to be as deep as the one at QB.
  15. Dear #34fan, One man's stink is another man's perfume. Looking forward to an aromatic era with my home town team. Here's to a fragrant future. Yours truly, Brian Daboll
  16. Interesting maneuvering by Cleveland in that mock.
  17. The best thing about the history of QBs selected in previous drafts is that none of it is relevant. Every draft, every prospect, every situation he is drafted into is its own unique set of dynamics. The only commonality that matters is the level of conviction a particular team has towards a particular prospect and whether that conviction is enough to warrant the investment in the pick.
  18. It takes a lot more than just the assemblage of good talent to become a great team. It's a start for the Browns, nothing more.
  19. Missed that, my bad. It’s worth pointing out that Foxborough is considered the “Miami of Massachusetts” where the elite m!@#$ hordes go for their winter tans.
