It's Early of Course but the Schedule Now Looks a Lot Easier
K-9 replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m not saying we are gonna lose to any team given our potential, but no team is a gimme. Sure, on paper, we should win these upcoming games, but history has taught us that’s just not the case. Every year we get these posts proclaiming easy wins and every year we lose games we had no business losing. And it’s funny how often it’s the same people who guaranteed wins against teams complain the most when we invariably lose a game. -

They’re better on the back end now and the last time we played has absolutely nothing to do with now. One would think that’s obvious. That’s a legit offense and should be respected. I know the coaches and players do, that’s for sure. -

Washington has a D front that can give us fits and Miami is for real. Nothing easy about either of those upcoming games. Nothing at all.- 84 replies

Ecstatic about the high completion percentage, but we really need to stop equating completion percentage with accuracy, which is all about ball placement and not necessarily passes that are caught.

I went with, “It looks like he tears his camel toe.”

Something, something run fits.

Fun game. Glad I stayed up to watch Colorado State lose after the cheap crap they pulled all night. Too bad, because they have some players I’d root for if not for the other classless players on that team. Blackburn should have been ejected for what did to Travis Hunter. Kid is in the hospital as a result.

Colorado State is full of cheap shot A holes on defense. I hope they get rolled all night.

Rodgers out for the year (UPDATE: Rodgers wants to return for playoffs)

Your memory is a good one. Marino tore his achilles against the Browns on a field notorious for its poor condition. Always seemed there was more sand in that field than grass. -
I didn’t claim McD was a genius. I claimed our pass coverage was good all night.
-
That’s a fair point, but we didn’t give them much all night in the secondary. Both Rodgers before he was hurt and Wilson afterwards weren’t finding open guys with any regularity. Couple of busted run fits prevented it from being a totally dominant defensive performance. A performance better than the Jets’ vaunted D gave.

The lack of understanding has nothing to do with what the Jets did or didn’t do on defense and everything to do with you suggesting Kincaid is a lesser player than LaPorta and Musgrove based upon their respective performances against totally different teams.
-
LaPorta looked very good vs KC. But that is totally irrelevant to how Kincaid looked vs the Jets, yet you seem to be trying to directly compare the two performances and conclude that Kincaid’s was lacking somehow. My theory? What theory? I don’t have a prediction on how Kincaid will do mostly because I don’t know what looks Vegas will show or how Dorsey and Co. want to attack them. There just isn’t enough to go on yet.
-
Let me know when LaPorta and Musgrave face a defense like the Jets because specious arguments like this are absurd and show a lack of understanding.
-
UB defense is terrible. Just really hard to watch.
-
An encouraging start, but that’s all it was.
-
Sauce wasn’t “covering” Kincaid all night, so much as there were times when Kincaid’s route brought him into Gardner’s zone responsibility.
-
I see you connected the dots.

Gonna have a dome and everything. Where ya been?

Offense looked alot like the Bengals game. Very concerning
K-9 replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I understand all that. I’m just saying we’ve been seeing a steady diet of Cover 2 zone looks since we played them in NY last year. Of course the key is a superior front four that can bring pressure and the Jets can legitimately roll eight D linemen that can do that. -

Jets have provided the league a blueprint for defending Allen. It’s on him and Dorsey to now adjust. -
Josh doesn’t process the game like Fitz and Fitz could only dream of having Allen’s physical gifts. That said, Fitz wasn’t above playing a little hero ball himself from time to time.

Yeah, except when he doesn’t have a 10 cent head.
