Wait, did I just read that we should trade Josh Allen to the 49ers for Purdy and three firsts? Really. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 You just can’t get this comedy at home.
-
Josh’s legacy? It’s still being written. And all this noise about how Josh is the first to lose four times to the same team in the playoffs is pure manufactured talking head crap.

We are currently negative 2.5 mill in cap space for 2025

I understand that which is why I thought it was a good idea at the time. Still raises a question about Trubisky, imo. -

Well, they extended Mike White, so that certainly raises the question. -
Not allowing myself to get in a funk in the first place over something I have absolutely no control over. Win or lose, I was gonna be over the result in five minutes last night. It didn’t even take that long. Just a tip of the hat to the Chiefs, a thanks for another thrilling season that NOBODY expected going into it, and then looking forward to another shot next season.

For the receiver to make the catch, yeah. But that is an 11 on the difficulty meter as far as QB play is concerned. It was incredible that Josh even saw a guy to throw to, let alone actually putting it in the receiver’s hands while under that much duress.

Still cracks me up that we gave Mahomes to the Chiefs

This tired trope again? FFS! -
Ben Solak’s tweet might be the worst example of football awareness I’ve seen. Like Fitz said, football is so damn easy from your couch while watching replays. Kincaid makes a catch that he gets paid to make and nobody is suggesting the ball should have gone to Shakir. All we need to know about that play is that Josh is one of less than a handful of people on the planet that can make that throw under that kind of pressure. Get a clue, Solak.

1/26/25 GAMEDAY AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME Bills @ Chiefs Post Game Thread
K-9 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
In a nutshell, we were out-coached on both sides of the ball. Did well to have a chance at the end to begin with all things considered. Josh deserved better at the end, too. He made a helluva play to get that pass off on 4th down with three Chiefs ready to plant him. And Kincaid should have made that catch. That’s all I got. See ya next season, Bills. Thanks for all the thrills along the way. -
Agreed, no need to be offended in the least. But I sure as hell question their intellectual integrity when it comes to an analysis that is completely devoid of even basic research. Just a rudimentary study of Josh Allen shows he’s been one of the best playoff QBs in history precisely because he puts the team on his back. They should at least respect that.

Agreed. Our D has a tendency to keep opponents in games, mostly as a result of poor 3rd down defense. That said, other teams have great players on their side of the ball and some just can’t be contained an entire game.

That's a young Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits. Perhaps too arcane a reference to those not of a certain age. -

I appreciate that, but I don’t think it’s relevant to the question of the number of fountains, which is around 2,000 in total if one is to believe Marvin Pulvers who authored a book on the subject of fountains in Rome (don’t ask how I know that, lets just say I was obsessed with the subject 20 years ago). If even half of them are not functional, that still leaves them far, far ahead of any other city. But a 2,000 year head start is hard to overcome. 😄 -
I heard the voice of John Facenda when I read that.

Rome says, “Hold my beer.” -
Several of us cited his back and other health issues along with his lack of experience as reasons to get a better look when he was 100% healthy.
-
Two things have gotten into him: being fully healthy and, more importantly, gained experience as he was as raw as could be coming into the league. Tip of the hat to Kromer in that regard.
-
My last game at the Rockpile was against the Steelers in ‘72. OJ with a 94 yard scamper on his way to a huge day. Of course we lost, but we served notice of better days to come with Saban at the helm.
-
Personally, I’d like to see us do a 99 yard drive with nothing but tush pushes all the way down the field.
-
Can’t believe he didn’t take the Jets job.

That reminds me of one of my favorite plays from the Daboll era. I think it was vs the Rams in 2020. Similar situation with goal to go inside the five, Josh in shotgun takes the snap, takes two steps forward like he’s gonna keep, and then stops and finds a wide open receiver in the endzone. I think it went to either Kroft or Lee Smith.

I don’t disagree that it was a Josh keeper all the way, but Brady always designs options down there. But again, I don’t disagree with the play call as we had great success earlier in the game in similar situations. As we’ve had all year.
