Good move. One less voice in Josh’s ear, but still too many with the presence of Mike Shula still on the team. I voiced the concern over the “too many chefs” approach during OTAs in ‘22 and I stand by the thought today.

You dredge up a 14 month old thread, quote my post in that thread that has nothing to do with your point about coaching in that thread, and now want to cite me for a comment on coaching? I have even less respect for your sorry, insecure self than before.

Currently 18th on the list as it resets after the first three weeks of the season and becomes based on current league standings and we are 15th over all at the moment. But yeah, I suspect one of the 17 teams below us would make a claim.

I hear ya. If these delicate little waifs can’t bear the outcomes of a game they have zero control over, perhaps they should give their fragile psyches a break and avoid it all together.

Somewhere, Chuck Knoll smiles approvingly. -
Lost the deep threat to take the top of the defense as well as Beasley who kept defenses honest with his ability find open spaces.

Invidious. Nice. Major points from the vocabulary judges. Well done.

Christian Wilkins is a giant douche.

Chris Jones is as big an idiot as Jordan Phillips.

There’s a fine line between playing with an edge and playing out of control. I’m all for Josh being Josh and playing with that edge, but he needs to do that in the context of letting the game come to him instead of forcing things.

Guess I’m just a glutton for punishment.

Stealing a possession only applies if you stop them on their initial possession. Turnovers also steal possessions from the opponent. But on average, teams are gonna get a dozen possessions in a game so I don’t put much stock in the idea of deferring to steal a possession. But in deferring, if you can score at the end of the first half and on the initial drive in the second half, it can be a huge factor in swinging the game. The “double dip” is a real advantage when it works out that way.

He’s scheme limited. Great at man, less than average in zone.

And only a few hour drive from his hometown to boot.

Recency bias is a real phenomenon. 😂

Bears CB Jaylon Johnson Requests to be Traded

It’ll be interesting to see if teams are interested in meeting his number when he becomes a free agent. -

Anything is possible, but he seems adamant about wanting out of Chi town. Then again, money has a way of smoothing things over. -

As a rule, player agents don’t normally dictate terms of a trade, so I’d say it was Bears management that decided no offer was good enough. They’re gonna regret that hardball stance when he leaves for nothing in free agency. Unless they tag him, which would be a fun circus to watch unfold. -
He’s had every opportunity with the same coaching as other much less heralded players that continue to out perform him. It’s entirely up to him at this point.

And 10 cent wings!

I’d like to see McD employ the same D schemes he used vs Miami. Similar offenses with QBs who like to get rid of it quick.
