  1. Reminds me of the ‘91 team that went 13-3 that would have been 14-2 if we played any starters in the meaningless last game of the year at home against Detroit. Anyway, we were 5-0 when we headed to KC for a nationally televised Monday night clash, just like the Ravens was a nationally televised Sunday night contest, and the Chiefs cleaned our clocks to the tune of 33-6 and the game wasn’t as close as the final score indicated. People had the same questions about how good we were at the time, too. As others have pointed out above, it’s a week to week league.
  2. Yeah, it might take a game or two for Milano to get up to speed, but another thing McD doesn’t hesitate to do is put the best 11 on the field. When Milano is 100%, he will resume the starter’s role because he is a better player than Williams. So I’ll say it, it’s Milano’s spot.
  3. But, but, but … wrong Josh.
  4. Immensely. Thanks.
  5. Agree entirely. Belichick is the only modern example that comes to mind.
  6. Interesting food for thought. Shula, Landry, and Knoll were exceptions as well, but I agree the list is short indeed.
  7. Didn’t mean to imply your post wasn’t greatly appreciated because it is. Thanks.
  8. This was obvious just from watching the game on TV.
  9. I think the prevailing attitude is you can have the best village in the land, but it don’t mean much if you don’t have a great QB to lead it.
  10. As long as we have Josh, it's always gonna be reload vs rebuild.
  11. No, what you don't expect is for the 6th round pick to be the better player and force his way into the lineup.
  12. Close games between intra-division opponents who know each other well are the rule rather than the exception. Sure, we have blown them out several times, but many of these games have been just as close as well. Their D stopped us once all game on our first possession. Their offense is loaded with weapons so I’m not suprised they moved the ball like they did and I had a feeling going into the game the winner might be the last one with the ball. We dominated Miami on offense every bit as much as they did us.
  13. What if I said the opposing team only stopped us on the opening series and let us move up and down the field all game just as their offense did to us?
  14. Ball was in his hands and I think he may have had a chance to make the catch if Poyer isn't there. But like you said, we were most likely punting and giving them a chance. Thank you Jordan Poyer.
  15. If a defender has a reluctance to hit him, he shouldnt be on the field. Tua is a helluva competitor and the grit he showed on that 4th down scramble for the first down really underscored that. I didn’t see any defender letting up at all on that play in the least. They just missed the sack and had outstanding coverage down field.
  16. Yeah, we suck against the run, but we were essentially conceding it at times along with the TE and paases to their RBs . While Hill had 4 for 80, we actually did a pretty good job of containing him and Waddle was a non-factor. Gonna be another big challenge against Taylor next week, too.
  17. Mad respect. Big tip of the hat to Tua.
  18. Safe to say he’s really missing Diggs and Collins at this point.
  19. Agree entirely. TNF has been a lousy product since it began.
  20. Achane’s speed hurt us several times in that game as they took advantage of Spector’s lack of it. I’d feel far more comfortable with Bernard.
  21. Cooper and Samuel were both listed as limited in practice today
  22. So saddened to hear this news. Lotsa laughs over the last 26 years. RIP, John. Travel well Bills brother.
  23. No hitch in Bernard’s giddyup from what I can gather from the video, so that’s encouraging. We need him in the lineup, especially with the speed Miami routinely exhibits, especially by Achane. As for Cooper, bad wrist or not, as long as his legs are ok to run patterns, he’s gonna suit up and play.
  24. Sounds like you might be clutching pearls about all this pearl clutching.
