  1. It certainly made me smile when Die Hard said he played from 67-72, as i started following our beloved Bills during the 1967 season from afar in a small town in eastern NY (Granville). Fond memories of static on radios and reading the newspaper for any Bills news. Thanks for the years you gave us Die Hard from an old fan. GO BILLS!
  2. For sure there were worst teams for our beloved Bills: 1968 1-12-1 1969 4-10 1970 3-10-1 1971 1-13 1972 4-9-1 1976 2-12 1977 3-11 1978 5-11 1984 2-14 1985 2-14 1986 4-12 Such is the fate of a Bills fan: Lifetime record (regular season) 354-394-8 But, as we Bills fans know, we love 'em no matter their record!!! GO BILLS!
  3. Whatever has happened in the past cannot be changed nor ignored. My Italian grandparents did experience prejudice in their lifetime, as did my Irish ancestors. The great melting has occurred, many descendants of immigrants are now part of main stream America, of this there is no doubt. Racism continues to exist because we continue to judge a man by his color, not his heart. You cannot tell me that America isn't different then even 60 years ago, changes have occurred, America is better for it. Also, I believe racism exists in other cultures and is far worse then what is occurring today in America. Good discourse friend.
  4. So true, imo when we look at each other by color, we divide our country . I always told my sons, color of skin doesn't matter, what is inside is what matters. When you are defined by your color the great American melting pot disappears and people can't become all they can become. Unite, not divide America! imho GO BILLS!
  5. Thank you Dean, have enjoyed your posts over the years! GO BILLS!
  6. As possibly the president of the lurker's club of TSW , I also wish to thank Lori for taking the time to break down the upcoming game in an objective, detailed and professional manner. We have some of da best here at TSW! GO BILLS!
  7. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?showtopic=99220 I look for your weekly rants Bill and I enjoy them tremendously. They are insightful and to the point, no bs there. Thanks again! Steve in patsies* land
  8. The Page 2 article is about the baseball postseason, but a reference is made to our Bills embattled head coach!!! http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...mp;sportCat=mlb About 1/2 way down the page a line item (#54) refers to our fearless leader. Everyone knows he is so emotionless. Football is a game of emotions, not necessarily the yelling type coach, but at least show us you have a heartbeat, Mr. Jauron.
  9. Agreed, time to make a statement, Mr. Wilson, open the checkbook, get a quality coach in here NOW, do it for the fans, please! Make the change now, at least let the replacement coach get settled for next year.
  10. Interesting quote from Kyle Williams on Chris Brown's blog: http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2009/10/05/d...ll-sees-talent/ Kyle Williams: "What irks Williams is opponents seem to effectively take a game plan and execute it on Sunday. He can’t put his finger on why the Bills can’t do the same?" Coaching? Comments?
  11. the center. As Trent audibles, so does the center, change line assignments, etc. It would seem Hangartner has done well in this regard so far, decent protection by the line and good rushing behind them, too. A bit early to say, but he might be the best since Hull. Anyone recall any nice plays by him in the first 2 games?
  12. Bill, Your post is the first post I always look for here after a Bills game. Always interesting points and inciteful comments. Love #12!! GO BILLS
  13. I think everyone thought of Bill when these 2 picks were made , I'm liking them also, build front >>>>back, finally!
  14. I totally agree with you, seems the hopes/dreams of some Bills fans have clouded the fact this is still a team "in the works" so to speak. More work to be done (C, TE, DE, LB), but a great foundation has been laid. Days like this happen to all teams, happened to the early 90's teams too! What we want to see is the way they react to a game like this, do they show that resiliency, the ability to pick themselves up and keep their eyes on the goal? Just remember all, this is a work in progress, a young team, an up and coming team. The management of the Bills knew they couldn't fill all the holes yet, but tried to use some (un)serviceable parts. draft to their needs and continue the building process. More good is to come, enjoy the rise up too.
  15. the glory days. Times like this help me to remember my youth and the teams that did well then, as I am sure the glory days do that for the above mentioned posters and a time from their youth. Well, my glory days are few before the early 90's, but they exist. The teams of 74-75ish era that made the playoffs, for the first time since the merger.....the Electric Co........him running wild (I audio taped the run he broke 2k on and would replay it over and over).....Joe Ferguson...Braxton.....JD Hill, Amad Rashad....Bobby Chandler...notice no mention of D? Then the 80 home opener, against da fish....winning...the fresh coaching Chuck Knox brought to the franchise...the playoff team of '81....the excitement. The Bermuda Triangle....Joe Cribbs....so much more. Well, the excitement is back...for me....still unsure, but billieving and enjoying what we have now. Not looking at the big D era but relishing the Marv era...the Dick era. I'm sure this must bring back memories of prior days of glory (would love to hear of 60's memories) and I enjoy hearing (seeing) other Bill's fans memories. p.s.Mostly a lurker, but been here for years
  16. I have lived in NH for 26 years and have, sadly, never been able to share a Bills game on tv nor in the stadium with fellow Bills' lovers such as myself. But, I have also not taken advantage of local places to at least share the comraderie with fellow Bills' fanatics. I didn't know there was a place in Manchester to see the Bills, that is 20 minutes away for me, as the Harp is 1 hour or so. I'll have to check out Billy's Sports Bar this year. I'll me the older, confused looking guy, in the middle of all that Bill's fandom. But, I have envisioned what a trip to da Ralph would be like, closed my eyes as a kid and saw me there. I love my Bills and I must, before I die, go to da Ralph (also see Great Pyramids, Athens, Rome, etc.) and enjoy a raucious Bills' crowd. Peace all.
  17. I am not watching the game, not on here in NH , why is Moorman in and not JP? GO BILLS!
  18. I also get popups from that site, I use Avant browser with a built in popup blocker, stuff still gets through. I also have added the popups to the black list within Avant to no avail. That site is loaded with bogus popups I can't stop. But, I do have Windows Defender and Norton AV Pro with a spyware scanner and my pc is clean as far as I know. Spybot is a good free spyware scanner, but as with all of the spyware cleaning software, nothing gets all of it, it seems. GO BILLS! Lurker and Bills fan since '67 I come to TBD everyday and love the site, great debates, good info on my Bills, who I love.
