I think Bohner is done as speaker if this goes through. I'm hearing he's giving his caucus a take it or leave it choice, and not allowing amendments to it. Let's be real... It doesn't have to pass with all the conservatives voting in favor. Most Dems will vote in favor, so Bohner only needs a handful from his own team. If this goes through with only a few Reps in favor, Bohner is done on Thursday...

This is a very telling part of this whole mess. We just increased the debt limit a few months ago, that's where the debt reduction we face called the fiscal cliff came from. By raising the debt limit, we were all told everyone would sing kumbaya and come up with real debt reduction, or this cliff would kick in automatically..... Now we have already reached the debt limit again, and they are only putting it off with accounting tricks, and these talks to supposedly avoid the cliff, which is self imposed by Washington, aren't including debt limit talks.... kick the can once again...

yeah, I saw that today, and will pray the best for her. I disagree with her politics, but blood clots, depending largely on where, is a serious matter. Since she supposedly had a concussion, I fear it in the head, which is not good... But usually a 2 day hospital stay so they can get thinners into her while monitoring, then a very long rehab, and more thinners. She won't be back to work any time soon either... Head, and\or lungs effected by clots is extremely exhausting for recovery.

My point was, Fed Ex and UPS are barred from competing on that 44 cent level for letters and/or post cards. I send full size 8 x 11 envelopes, through UPS all day for a buck each. But nothing smaller than that is allowed by anyone but the USPS.

What no one has mentioned, is that if it failed, it also did so without enough Democrat votes to add to the Republican backers of the Boehner plan B Look, to me it seems the Rep leadership is trying at least, even though I think it's ill advised. But with Obama having the Dems in lockstep, we can forget about a compromise of any kind that PBO didn't write. Meaning, there is no way the conservative side of the Republican party will go along with the Obama plan, and no way Obama will compromise on his agenda... Mt own thought is, ANY compromise only puts off the inevitable. Kicks the can down the road once again.... Let's just hold hands as we jump, and get it over with...

What makes ANYONE think anything can get done? One side literally wants to go over the cliff, while the other is afraid they'll be blamed for it, and in panic mode. Interesting concept, and one not far off from Biblical belief if you believe that God is Omnipresent. Basically meaning, that if He is the Creator, He also therefore, Stands outside of Creation. Time itself is a concept for man based on space and matter that actually begins with the very first verse of Genesis. It reads, "In the beginning...." this would assume, nothing prior to this, so no previous "time" "God Created..." there was nothing, we know this, because of it being the beginning, so God created from nothing... "the Heavens..." the heavens gives you the first part of time, space itself... "and Earth." the second requirement of time, matter.... You see, as the Creator of everything, including time, He stands outside of it, not subject to it, so in that, He sees all things, all at once...

It's not religion that inflicts violence, just like it's not a weapon that does it. It's the people, that misuse religion, or weapons, or any other cause to incite violence that are the problem. A cause, or belief, just like an object, is inanimate, and can't possibly create chaos on it's own. Many so called "religions" are, as you say, created by man. But there are 3 major "religions" that disagree. While I have personal misgivings of one of those, it is argued by most, that are all inspired by G-d Himself. But the term itself, "religion", I would argue is the doctrine of man, and NOT G-d.... It's the people, not the "religion", and the doctrine of man, unfortunately, makes an easy target to disparage. YES, many men have done wrong in the name of "religion" over the centuries. But it's US!!! Not the Faith that does wrong...
