Cinga replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/502677-how-the-end-of-lockdown-will-hurt-joe-biden-amid-the-campaign-trail It's no wonder that so many Democrats want to prolong the lockdowns.... The Biden comedy tour is about to return! -

If we include ancient times which we should in any discussion of slavery, I don't know that there is a single ethnic group that was subservient to another at one time or another. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_slavery

There should be a national dialogue in getting back to work
Cinga replied to Magox's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Possible but not sure how likely. It all depends on the businesses that are permanently gone. If there are a sizable number of those, then those don't get replaced overnight. What Wells Fargo is describing wouldn't a V. As they don't expect 6% unemployment for another 18 months I just don't see this. My brother needed a new TV recently, but literally everything around here in MD is sold out of them. I wanted a new chest freezer to put out on the deck. I hate our upright. But around here, and online, I couldn't find any 7 to 9 sq ft ones I wanted. especially Made in the USA ones. Point is, manufacturing was shut down for the most part, and even though buyers were wary, they still spent money and inventories are extremely low right now. Companies will e anxious to get that safe inventory back as quickly as they can boosting the economy quicker than this projection I suspect.... -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

Tell me how Obama's pandemic response plan was going to address the fatal incompetence of local and state owned hospitals? (That's after you return from your dance) Edited 11 minut Not only that, but the Obama White House Pandemic Response team was duplicitous of the NIH and CDC so a totally unnecessary burden on taxpayers. If we were all honest about it, I bet it was only established to show he did something about the swine flu (H1N1), Ebola, and Zika which all happened under his watch.

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

AND YOUR STILL AN IDIOT! Of course I care about the mortality rate as anyone with half a brain should -
This does bother me a little though just because of shear numbers. Without our regulations and safety guidelines, China can mass produce ships at a much higher rate for much less money. Let's face it. They wouldn't think twice to sacrifice 20 ships and their crews to get to one of our carriers. Yes, we're a hell of a lot better, but are we that much better not to be overwhelmed by numbers eventually? Didn't I see he had connections to that infamous Wuhan lab too?

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Cinga replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
After this crazy a55 lockdown, I would hope the American public will never fall for a hoax like this again. What's the mortality rate? No one should care one flip what the infection rate is, especially since we are testing more and more, because we want to get to a decent immunity rate. As long as mortality rates are still falling that is what we want to see. -

Of course we know that any spike this week in cities that have had demonstrations is because of the Trump Rally that is being held in Tulsa next weekend! -
Is that where Flipping Fauci has disappeared to?

WOW, I'm truly compressed! You not only have the ability to redefine words in the English (and perhaps others?) Language, you also have the ability to re-write history!

Yup, and the remdisvir is sitting at a low effectiveness rate https://www.statnews.com/2020/04/29/gilead-says-critical-study-of-covid-19-drug-shows-patients-are-responding-to-treatment/ That is still a really high mortality rate for that kind of money!

Do any of you NOT use social media?
Cinga replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I have FB but that is it. My wife had joined it years before I did, and I finally got on when an old friend asked her if she was related to me. It's been a great way to reconnect with people I had lost touch with years ago, especially some old Marine Corps friends I had served with. -
Worse yet, no one will be held accountable for the lives that COULD have been saved if not for these bogus studies! Sorry, it just pisses me off because HCQ is relatively inexpensive (60 cents per) while so many others seem to be holding out for hoped for kickbacks is remdesivir (4 thousand per patient) gets approved for this. But meantime, people are dying unnecessarily

I'm aware of what some supposed "experts" are saying, however as I stated, other Ronas HAVE gone away, and I see no evidence that this one will be an exception -

It's a Rona, and there is no reason to believe it won't go away just like MERs and SARs did. In fact evidence now coming out of Italy shows it may do so even quicker that they did. -
And this happened in the enlightened community of San Francisco? And to the OP, aren't there enough threads on racism already you could have added this to?

Okay folks, I need some help when I'm not here to pick up the slack. You do realize I'm sure, all these new threads are meant to bump some we all here care about off the page. The usual progressive distraction tactic....
