I can hear the cities calling Come on down I can feel you falling Happening for all of us to see See the deepening cement hollow Reaching out for those who follow Hunkering on far too many lies It's no surprise I want to get away and live my life In the rivers and trees I want to spend my days making wine And be free (be free, be free) and be free

Truckin', up to Buffalo Been thinkin', you got to mellow slow Takes time, you pick a place to go, and just keep truckin' on Sittin' and starin' out of the hotel window Got a tip they're gonna kick the door in again I'd like to get some sleep before I travel, But if you got a warrant, I guess you're gonna come in

On the Sunday morning sidewalks, wishin' Lord, that I was stoned 'Cause there's something in a Sunday, makes a body feel alone And there's nothin' short of dyin', half as lonesome as the sound On the sleepin' city side walks, Sunday mornin' comin' down

The traffic lights—they turn, uh, blue tomorrow And shine their emptiness down on my bed The tiny island sags downstream "Cause the life that lived is—is dead And the wind screams, "Mary!"

Ev'ry year along about this time it all goes dry There's nothing round for love or money That'll get you high Henry got pissed off and said he'd run to Mexico To see if he could come back holdin' Twenty keys of gold Now the road to Acapulco is very hard indeed And it isn't any better if you haven't any weed Henry's driving hard and straight On twisty mountain roads There's fifty people waiting back At home for Henry's load

Somewhere along the lonely road I had tried to find ya Day after day on the windy road I had walked behind ya Easy livin and I've been forgiven Since you've taken your place in my heart Waiting, watching Wishing my whole life away Dreaming, thinking Ready for my happy day And some easy livin'!

Sweet child in time, you'll see the line Line that's drawn between the good and the bad See the blind man shooting at the world Bullets flying, ooh taking toll If you've been bad - Oh Lord I bet you have And you've not been hit oh by flying lead You'd better close your eyes, aahaouho bow your head Wait for the ricochet

The sun's still shining in the big blue sky But it don't mean nothing to me Oh let the rain come down Let the wind blow through me I'm living in an empty room With all the windows smashed And I've got so little left to lose That it feels just like I'm walking on broken glass

When the wagons leave the city For the forest, and further on Painted wagons of the morning Dusty roads where they have gone

Actually, their fish sandwich is pretty good, better than the other fast food joints. The brisket sandwich is good also, 'cept they are kind stingy with the meat. Overall if I were, to go to a fast food place, I would choose Arbys or Wendys, McD's, Burger King, taco bell are all nasty. A good local deli or family diner food will trump any fast food joint.

I'm home grown, growin' my own and I need ya Need ya to beg my pardon, to tend my garden Flowers, she's sittin' for poses She wants me to sing my song Hours, she's like a stoned Moses Guess I'll sing along

Now that's been fifty years ago an' if you go by there yet There's a spot in the yard in the back of that shack Where the ground is always wet And on certain nights if the moon is right Down by that dark footpath You can hear three young men screaming And you can hear one old man laugh

I pounced And I pounced again Great googly-moogly I jumped up 'n down on the chest of the... I injured the fur trapper Well, he was very upset, as you can understand And rightly so Because The deadly Yellow Snow Crystals Had deprived him of his sight And he stood up And he looked around And he said: I can't see

I looked out this morning and the sun was gone Turned on some music to start my day I lost myself in a familiar song I closed my eyes and I slipped away

I've been downhearted baby I've been down, I've been down hearted baby Ever since the day we met, ever since the day we met Am I alive or thoughts that drift away? Does summer come for everyone? Can humans do as prophets say? And if I die before I learn to speak Can money pay for all the days I lived awake but half asleep? Do do do Do do do Do do do
