I was going to post this in its own thread while I was waiting for Virgil or Shaw's threads, but here it is, so I am posting here Ok it's Monday morning, I'm bored , it's raining (again), walking the dogs is not going to happen, and apparently I have too many thougts swirling in my brain and I need to let some out (excuse me in advance, this may be like passing gas in public) , but here goes. After a great win like yesterdays everyone deserves their props Allen broke out of his slump and had a great game. He was sharp on his throws, he moved well in the pocket, and looked the part (MVP level)we expected from him based on last year. He and Sanders finally connected and produced 2 tds, and were in sync with the long balls. It was also encouraging to see Sanders have a breakout game, I admit to being a bit underwhelmed by him until now. I was wondering with him being old (in football years) that maybe his best football had already been played, but yesterday he performed superbly. Nice pass distribution, Allen got everyone involved Beasely had a monster game catching everything thrown his way, some were tough catches too. Our much maligned starting TE. Knox, caught all the passes thrown his way also, and he made a spectacular play on his TD catch, amazingly was able to stay inbounds. Diggs seemed to have a quiet game, but he had timely and clutch catches on the FG drive at the end of the 1st half. He also dug in and did the dirty work, he had several key blocks that freed up Moss and the other receivers to do their thing. Moss was more decisive, better today than Singletary.he showed a burst on the delay rushes and on the off tackle runs. He found the soft spot in the zone and reacted well moving back to allen on some passing plays giving him easy targets. Singletary had a couple of nice runs, best when he quickly hits the holes and is decisive with his cuts. The O line did nice job today, they gave Allen time to go through his reads, and maintained a solid pocket for him to step up and avoid the rush The Defense What can I say, the defense has come to play in all 3 games so far. They had one lapse yesterday on the screen pass play that turned into a 73 yd. TD.,but overall had another good game. The secondary was superb, props to all. Milano's play has been spectacular whether he is defending passes or the run. I believe he had a couple of tfl's and a sack yesterday, and of course the fumble recovery after Tre knocked the ball away from WFT's TE. "The answer my friend, is blowing in the wind" But not yesterday Mckenzie seems to have an issue when he has to come to the ball, I'm not sure if it's visual or what. On the kickoff, whether it was by play design by WFT (the announcers seemed to think so) , or just dumb luck the way the wind affected the kick, as he came up to catch it he totally misjudged where he needed to be. If he could of caught it on the run, it probably would of been a big play for the Bills, but once the ball hit the turf all bets were off and the took off in an unexpected way. I noticed the same thing on his muffed punts, I hope this doesn't become a thing with him, because I like him as a returner. Matakevich had an off day, but we all do sometimes "This game is dedicated to the ones we 💘" My condolences to Coach Daboll and his family. I was touched by JA, and his comments about when he lost his Grandma that Daboll was the first one to console him. It's telling how close this team is, they arent just teammates they are family. While I am on the subject of family. We are overjoyed to announce the newest member of our family, as our new Great Grandson Evan was born on Friday.👶

Channeling Henney Youngman: A giraffe walks into a bar. The bartender says whatta you have. The giraffe says a long neck. The bartender says I know but what are you drinking. I live in a terrible neighborhood, the other day I saw two peanuts walking down the street, one was a salted. A man goes in a restaurant and asks the host is the steak tender here. The host says yes and seats the man at a table A termite comes in and asks the host is the bar tender here. A horse comes into a bar. The bartender says hey fella why the long face

A young and very religious couple were on their honeymoon, and we're ready to engage in sex, but both of them were too embarrassed to be so blunt, and decided to say they were going to do the laundry. Unfortunately, they had an argument right before, and the bride stormed out of the room. After a few minutes she was ready to make up, and came in the room and asked her husband if he was ready to do the laundry, when he replied no thanks I already did it by hand.

A young American businessman is in Japan on his 1st overseas trip to close a deal with his Japaneese counterpart. The next day the deal would be consummated over 18 holes of golf. He was so confident that everything would go well, he decided he would indulge himself at the Geisha house the night before. He found himself with the most beautiful girl, except she did not speak any English. As he engaged with her in *****, he could hear her softly moan and say hi shu, hi shu over and over again. He was very satisfied with his performance, and thought to himself that he must of been phenomenal with this girl for her to cheer him on like that. The next day on the golf course, when he was golfing with his counterpart, the Japaneese man teed off and hit a great shot, it was a hole in one. Wanting to impress his counterpart with the new found phrase he learned the night before, he excitedly exclaimed hi shu, hi shu. At that point the Japaneese man turned to him and said "what you mean wrong hole"

PFF grades Milano as league's best linebacker so far
gdabillsfan replied to Lothar's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sounds like you're going to take a straight forward , hands on approach. -
Well, it's like what I always tell her "you have to play the cards you're dealt". Its not all that bad though, I keep her entertained (she always said I was entertaining), and that reminds me of a John Prine (RIP) song that sums up our relationship pretty well.

True Dat! She says back at ya. She doesn't remember much these day (Early onset Alzheimer's) but she does good with the music.

I'm not familiar with this album, but I really wasn't a huge fan of BR (I don't know why because she's a great talent) until I met my wife (she's a huge fan). We saw her at finger lakes a few years ago and she put on a good show. In a similar vein we saw Lucinda Williams in the Geneva Opera House around the same time, don't think she is as talented as Bonnie, but I love her bluesy voice.

Ok I get it now, didn't know about him and the tuba.
-
Sorry for monopolizing this thread, I get a little carried away sometimes when sharing music (especially when it's my sister's kids music) Anyway how about some good old Texas blues now
-
Interesting. I'm not so sure of the tuba though Here's one more from my nephews big band. Feat. Alan Evans from Soulive on drums, and Nigel Hall (vocals), Eric Benny Bloom (trumpet) from Lettuce.

This is a tune with my nephew playing trombone from his "John Brown's Body " days called "This and That"
-
I like this, the singer sounds like a cross between Neko Case And the chick from Mazzy Star
-
While we're keeping things relative , here's a couple from my nephew. This is his band, Akashic Record This next one is from 10 foot Ganja plant (a side project of the horn section, when he was with John Brown's Body) his solo (trombone)starts around 1:40

And don't it seem like Kicks just keep gettin' harder to find And all your kicks ain't bringin' you peace of mind Before you find out it's too late, girl You better get straight

Nice trumpet. Another good trumpet on this tune (Also doesn't hurt to be playing with Joe S. and Grace Potter) cover of Neil Youngs "Cortez the Killer"

I was feeling so bad I asked my family doctor just what I had I said, "Doctor" (Doctor) "Mr. M.D." (Doctor) "Now can you tell me what's ailing me?" (Doctor) He said, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah" (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Yes, indeed, all I, I really need (Good love) Now gimme that good, good lovin' (Good love) All I need is love (Good love) Good lovin', baby (Good love)

Really don't mind if you sit this one out My word's but a whisper, your deafness a shout I may make you feel but I can't make you think Your sperm's in the gutter, your love's in the sink So you ride yourselves over the fields And you make all your animal deals And your wise men don't know how it feels [Refrain] To be thick as a brick

I did my best, it wasn't much I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you And even though it all went wrong I'll stand before the Lord of Song With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah
