  6. Long time ago I worked with an old pharmacist from Ok., and he would say the darndest things. (All true too) A lady's kid had lice, and she captured one in a Styrofoam cup with a lid and asked him to look inside and tell her what he thought. He opened the lid and quickly closed it back up, and told the lady it was mechanized dandruff. The lights went out, and he exclaimed "damn it's darker in here than a sack full of black cats at midnight" A friend of his wife was visiting from WV., and the man told him that he loved her like a sister. He looked him straight in the eye and said "stop talking dirty about my wife"
  7. While we are on the subject of cartoon rabbits
  8. Lol, Paula Abdul, from Laker fan girl to pop star. BTW, Jessica Rabbit is one hot cartoon, Roger is a lucky wabbit
  9. Another band like cracker Our roomate loves this band. He had blister in the sun on CD, and played it over and over again til you wanna🤮. I finally had to tell him to listen to it in his room. To this day I turn the volume down if it comes on.
  10. Old stoner rock (70's)
  11. I actually have a couple of these guys cd's. (Short skirt, long jacket) On a side note, I like the album art because I used to own a 68 impala convertible and the pic made me say "that car looks familiar" I was introduced to their music years ago by listening to Scott Regan's show on WRUR 88.7 FM It's the local NPR station, but Scott spins some good tunes. Another band Scott plays on his show, and I actually saw at a festival in Phoenix in the late 80's The guitarist went on to form Cracker I had to edit, I reposted Low, because I was listening to that while I was typing, I meant to post Eurotrash Girl.
  12. Sorry to hear that. I lost my dad in 91, unfortunately his only Bills Superbowl memory was wide right. Mom passed in 09, she rooted for the Bills, but loved the Yankees. My siblings and I are in our 60's and 70's so we're on the clock. I have been fighting cancer since 2019, thought we had it beat, but now it's back, so I hope the Bills can win a super bowl for me before I'm done. I'm ecstatic that they are playing so well, and still optimistic for my own health, everyone I know tells me I am too damn stubborn, and ornery to go out just yet, anyway everybody keep cheering. Go Bills!!
  13. What a week , two thoughts posts, for the same game. Again great job on these. In your pre game thoughts, my response to your post began, "Oh ye of little faith", and though I completely understand why you felt that way, this is a different year, a better team, and a team that has been trending upwards since our loss in the conference championship game last year (except for the hiccup in week 1 against Pitt). The transformation has been almost biblical, so what we saw last night was just Sunday school for the Chiefs. Instead of the former teacher (Reid), his star pupil lead the class. My thoughts completely out of order: ( 7 and10) Mc D and company schooled the Chiefs with a very well composed and well executed defensive game plan. The defensive line all played well, with Groot the standout. The pressure, rushing 4, was relentless all game on Mahomes and allowed the 2 deep zone to dominate the Chiefs receivers on passing downs. They were stout against the run and contained Mahomes all night. Edmonds, again played at a Pro Bowl level, taking away the short middle, flying around the field like a man possessed. Props to Klein and Neal (8)who filled in great for Milano in coverage. The secondary (6) were again phenomenal, even when Mahomes had 4 -5 seconds in the pocket they stayed true in their zones and took most of his targets away. Finally they all tackled well, no near misses, and if a tackle was missed there was always another Bill to clean it up, so a superb performance by the defense. On offense, continueing the Sunday school theme, Mc D and the team were reading from the book of Josh. (5)Allen showed everyone why he is a potential MVP candidate. His determination while running was just the attitude that was needed, he would not be denied. I am always amazed at his arm talent, even though I've seen it again and again, the throws this kid makes I still come away thinking that's incredible. The throws to Sanders, and Diggs (9) were outstanding. When they weren't targeted, and on running plays, all the receivers blocked well, carrying forward the " team " mentality. My only knock against Josh was the grounding play, and if he would of had another second I believe it would of been a completion to Diggs, as he was coming open. Josh falling down, he just couldn't get it there, or across the line of scrimmage, which would of negated the grounding call. As I said in your pregame thread, "Knox is our Kelce"(3). All I can say is " Wow" when I see him make these catches. 5 TDs in 5 games, sure hands, and great blocking, where has this guy been for the Bills, forever. (1) As far as Beane goes, what he has done putting this roster together is nothing less than ledgendary. I don't think it has just been dumb luck, the man knows his business. If he continues like he has, over his next few contracts with the Bills, his career will be HOF worthy. I hope he sticks around for a long time. (2) the drive is what stuck the knife in the Chiefs, and I was glad too see it. When the Bills scored, you could see the frustration on the KC sidelines, the momentum was set , and that the deal was sealed. Refereeing and broadcasters: I feel your frustration, on both counts. There were bad calls and no calls all night, and not just on the Bills. My personal bias aside, the Chiefs were screwed over too. It's hard to believe this is one of the so called best officiating teams in the NFL, because they just plain out sucked. This broadcast team is the worst in football. Al Michael's needs to retire and I never have liked Collingsworth, even in his playing days. He is a smug, condescending jack azz, and always has been. On to Tennessee, Go Bills!
  14. Oh Ye of little faith. Yeah I understand how your feeling because of previous experiences(post traumatic game stress), and of course the classic Bills let downs of the past. But,........ The past is the past , you have to look at the positives. This is a different team than we fielded in the conference championship game, and so are the Chiefs. 1. McD has grown as a coach each year he's been here, and I believe he is getting better with each year of experience. Reid may very well out coach us again, after all he is the master, but eventually the student will succeed , and.... (S.n.a.t.c.h. the Pebble from his hand) can't believe I had to edit that 2. Diggs is hungry. He was naturally disappointed after the loss , he had a tremendous year, and saw the big prize slip away. He also was playing hurt going in last year, this year he is healthy. 3. Beasley, Brown were both playing hurt as well ,Beasley is healthy , and Brown's been replaced. Sanders is an upgrade, and seems to beginning to have a good rythym going with Allen. They just need to do thier thing, and the rest will take care of itself. 4. What comes around ,goes around. Be true to yourself, and your best will come through. 5. The Rbs just need to be quick and decisive, and follow the blocks. KC doesn't look to be very dominant against the run this season. If we can be somewhat effective with the run, and chew up clock it will be a key to the win. 6. Kelce and Hill, how bout Johnson, Milano, Edmonds, and White (sounds like a law firm). They just need to play up to the level they have already this year, and the rest will take care of itself. (9)Plus we have been decent rushing 4 (which 4 we send will be Mahomes quandary) all year. I'm sure if we can contain Mahomes, and if the law firm comes to play our D will be fine. 7. We definitely need Allen to bring the A game. He doesn't need to be the hero, just play in control physically and emotionally. 8. Knox is our Kelce this year. Allen and he need to connect early and often. Hopefully our online holds up (my worry) ,so he can get in the pattern quickly. 10. Confidence I Billeve, I think we can beat this team and any other team this year, it's all up to the team to bring their best on Sunday night. A win brings respect, then the rest of the NFL will have to worry about playing the Bills instead of the other way around. Go Bills!
  15. And Keith will still look that way when they dig him up in about 100 years
  16. Lol, John Valby. I saw him in Laughlin, NV., at free casino show. I didn't know he was from Buffalo until sometime after. Loved the candy bar poem.
  17. Canned Heat was an awesome band. Which reminds me of a friend I had met in Phoenix, who was obsessed with them. (Another SD connection, my friend Dave had played football for SD State, was a backup QB I think, in the late 70's or early 80's, plus he was a SD local, grew up near Balboa Park.) Anyway, (just remember, "speed kills")
  18. It's kinda funny that you bring up Dick Dale, I was just listening to the radio, and they played Gary Hoey (a disciple of Dale) playing a surf rock instrumental. I actually saw him in the 80's in your neck of the woods at a little hole in the wall bar between PB and LaJolla (Don't remember the name of the place, but it was across the street from a school, in a residential neighborhood. The place looked like someone's garage, lol) so, here's Gary Hoey
  19. I always heard that his herb was top shelf Lord I just could not wait to find out for myself. Well don't knock it till you've tried it. And I've tried it my friend. I'll never smoke Weed with willie again!
  20. The wife and I saw these guys about 7 or 8 years ago, at a blues festival near Binghamton. Chris Duarte opened for them Totally awesome night of blues
  21. Give me Your dirty love Like some tacky little pamphlet In your daddy's bottom drawer Give me Your dirty love I don't believe you never seen His book before
  22. The 1st time I saw these guys was in the mid 70's at the Dome Arena in Henrietta. W.P.O.D. was kind of me and my friends theme song back in those days, lol. Anyway, they put on quite a show, and I came away most impressed with their version of "Don't Touch Me There" (who would of figured a 15 year old or so kid, would of been most impressed by a hot chick singing that song) ,
  23. I'd play the Red River Valley And he'd sit in the kitchen and cry And run his fingers through seventy years of livin' And wonder, "Lord, has ever' well I've drilled gone dry?" We was friends, me and this old man
  24. I was having that problem also. I don't use chrome as a browser, because of all the infernal pop up ads, and apparently youtube doesn't play well with others, unless you open youtube in another window within the browser, so maybe that's your trouble
  25. Zappa was a musical genius, not just as a player, but as an arranger, a conductor, a writer, etc. I saw an interview with him once where the interviewer ask him how he interacted with other "rockstars", and he replied "I don't hang out with rock musicians". He wasn't saying that to be rude (maybe he was idk) but he always got the best musicians to play in his bands.
