Nothing to do with your post. just a random remark- The prevailing thought was- due to our lack of “outside deep threats” teams will be able to stack the box and take away the underneath RAC stuff. How can we combat this? It looks like our answer is Cook, Johnson and Davis. All 3 fast enough and good enough route runners to smoke LBers at will. Our RBs are lethal downfield. While they aren’t “WRs”, they are all mismatches vs Lbers

💯 He’s playing at an all pro level. Might not get the cred due to playing mostly Zone (which most corners do now), but he’s an absolute stud and might be our best defensive player. Just love watching him tackle. Very Winfield-like in that way. But bigger

Such a banger. Elusive. Explosive. Reliable. Catches every pass. While not recognized league wide yet, he’s a great weapon.

Thought about that last night. Might still be a year or two away. Not sure if he’s Hc material atm. Dunno if Ronald Curry will be OC/play caller material if we lose him.

Yeah- she said some things about him not being used enough on social media. She was awful, but she went a little overboard with her replies. Gabe was nothing but a great teammate and hard working kid for this team. I’m glad he’s gone. I wouldn’t even want him back for 1M a year.

Pretty much every rac/short pass has Mac out there leading the way or setting legal picks. His signing had lots of purpose.

Amazing- invest in and coach up the OL and Josh will making everyone better. If he’s not pressured, he’s just gonna bide his time until someone gets open. I thought the Spencer Brown contract was a bit steep because I didn’t want to pay a RT big bucks and I have my doubts about him being healthy- but after 3 games it’s looking like a bargain. Low guaranteed contract and he’s been stellar so far. I was one of his biggest critics after 2 seasons- I couldn’t be happier that Beane decided to stick with him. Kromer and Brady have done a great job and he’s put in the work. 💪🏻

Just started rewatching the game- pretty much all of these short pass rac plays involved Hollins eliminating his man from the play. Some plays- he eliminates 2 Hollins route picked the corner on Coleman’s TD as well. No contact, but you can see the CB take a half step inside to avoid contact and changed his angle ever so slightly

Doubt he gets 33.5 but I wouldn’t be shocked Von turns 36 next march. Bruce Smith had 36 sacks after he turned 36. Von isn’t Bruce but he’s similar to Bruce in that he’s built different

💯 - we’ve faced 2 bad defenses and an average Jag D. Eager to see how we look the next 3 weeks. things are great. I’m very excited to see their vision working just as they had hoped. But it’s September. Just hoping we can continue to have more games like last night and stay healthy

You ain’t lying- but I do believe that the league will uncover a thing or two that will slow us down some. The adapting to that will decide our season……along with some luck. I feel that injuries are the biggest reason we haven’t had at least 1 Lombardi over the past 3 seasons

I feel great- better than I could’ve anticipated considering we don’t have Milano, Bernard or Taron. that said- we’re about to find out what we’re really made of in the next 3 weeks. OL, RAC and WR blocking was a focal point of our offensive retooling and it looks to be working. my guy Mack Hollins, is out there running through people, setting legal picks and leading the WRs in snap counts. He doesn’t have to be targeted to be a positive factor in this offense. -short passes- rac -RBs used in the deep sideline pass game. -OL dominant -Josh just playing free and letting the game come to him

A football season is divided in 5 mini seasons imo. sept, oct, nov, dec, jan/feb the coordinators have us on top of the power rankings with one week left in season one. how will they adapt/adjust once the league has a better grasp of what we’re doing and find a couple answers for us? not too bad for sacrificial lambs.

I think every game starts with containing the QB. The DL staying disciplined. Allowing QBs to get out of the pocket and give their WRs more time to find their spots in our zone is when we start breaking down. Keep Lawrence contained and we can force a fumble or two and roll.
