Agreed. He’s been a reliable playmaker when called upon. He may not be worth his cap hit of 14M, but he’s a keypiece to our puzzle. we save 10M on the cap by cutting him after this season. I don’t think he’ll be easy to replace. I also don’t think he wants to play anywhere other than Buffalo. there may be some difficult decisions regarding TE on OBD next offseason. Does hawes show enough as a receiver to make Knox or Kincaid expendable. Decisions on Kincaids 5th year option and the 10M we save from cutting Knox and do we then resign him to a much lower cap hit. Hawes + Kincaid, Hawes + Knox or Hawes + Kincaid + Knox? Will Brady even be back to use these guys in that way and if not, who’s the new OC? I love this TE room. Enjoy watching them this year. Might be their last together.

I think Knox’s hands are just fine. They’ve improved a lot over the last few seasons

Maybe Probably not in 2025. i don’t think Gilliam is getting cut. That seems to be the premise of this post, no?
-
I’m sure we’ll see him there sparingly edit: no, I don’t think we cut Gilliam

Could be. Just hope he avoids a major injury that hampers him in the playoffs.

Why not FireChan2.0? The upgraded version. I thought Chans was an odd choice at first, but used to it now I nominate @muppy!!

I concur and also thank you for your contributions. I’ve learned a lot from your posts over the years. Keep up the good work You should’ve used his tactics way back when

I agree with everything you said- but rather than saying it’s a fair assessment, I’d throw in a fair assessment based on projections. If Bosa stays healthy (BIG if) and the rookies can show they belong, I think we could be a top 5 DL. Rousseau, Ed, Sanders, Bosa Hoecht, Epenesa, Jackson, soloman Daquan, Ogunjobi, Walker. Not sure if there’s a defensive line in the NFL with that kind of depth.

Brandon Beane "might be the most sensitive GM in the entire NFL"?
NewEra replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can’t recall the media running with instances of any other NFL GM’s giving local radio stations 💩 for their takes. The title given by monson carries little weight, but he’s doing what the media is supposed to do. Create storylines. Whether or not it’s true, 🤷🏻♂️ -
I think Diggs gets more targets and have a better stat line. I think Shakir is the better player

I think TJ Sanders is going to be a star and I think we’ll see why at start in training camp. Hancock, Hawes and Prather are guys I have hope for being great depth. If Hancock picks up the McBabich playbook and shows he can stick in coverage, I think he takes Cams job (as most do). Hawes might be my favorite value pick, as he does something exceptionally well, blocking. And that one thing he does well is something that Brady knows how to use in the run and short passing game. He might not be a great receiver, it I think he’s better than people say. Chip, leak then catch. I like Prather as a practice squad guy. In time (2026+) I could see him getting some snaps Big fan of Strong and his value too. The CB room is deep and I hope he shows out and earns a spot in camp. Not sure he’ll make it to our PS. FA adds- I expect Elijah Moore to get a pay increase next season that will likely yield us a compensatory pick. I really like Joe Andreeson too. Super athletic and I don’t see many holes in his game other than being short with short arms.

Most impactful player of the 2025 season: Kawhi Leonard. He forced the clippers into trading the house for Paul George. The clippers would’ve been dam good if they stayed put

Chad Johnson says Stevie Johnson the best route runner ever seen

Seems like the perfect guy to work with Keon on the side. The teacher being a guy who made his living with basketball moves to get open teaching the d1 basketball player. -
Keon drops 60 in Damar's celebrity basktball gam
NewEra replied to stevewin's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ok- you’re obviously not interested in having a real conversation. 6th man of the year twice vs 5 1st team all defense, 4 2nd team all defense, all star x4, DPOY, all nba 2nd team and 3rd team x1. please. -
Let’s stay on topic

I can’t stand Draymond. i was a warriors fan, but he didn’t get along with my boy Barnes. I can’t stand that he cost Barnes another title by hitting LeBron in the nuts. Draymond does some of the dumbest things. I just don’t let my feelings taint my view of him. He’s was such integral piece of that teams success, he has to make it. His accomplishments altered basketball history by way of adding another dynasty to nba history -
A bit of grey area between “not enamored with” and being a “bad person”

Manu was great- I don’t disagree. A better player than Draymond. But Draymond will be in. I have no doubt. I disagree. End -

He wasn’t a pure defensive guy. He was a tremendous passer. He also averaged over 1.25 3’s per playoff game. He wasn’t a great shooter by any means, but he hit clutch shots. He was a key to 4 championships and a dynasty. Without him, they probably win none. I watched every game over those years (as Harrison Barnes was my guy). His defense and leadership in crunch time crucial to them winning titles. Tony Parker and Manu are in the HoF because they were instrumental in winning championships. draymond will be in. -
I watched it when it was released and I couldn’t disagree more about newton being a fun listen. I found him painful to listen too. I’ve always been a fan of him, but he’s trying too hard

Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
NewEra replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
No- What I’m saying is- wait and see. Listing other players accomplishments or failures as proof that a player will have success or not proves nothing. Keons success (or lack thereof) will be determined by Keon. Not by players of the past. He can become a star. He can flop and be out of the league by the time his rookie contract is up….but that’s on him. Not examples of the past -

Davante Adams had 38 catches for 446 and 3 TDs. Antonio brown 16-167-1 Chris Godwin 33-535-1 Reggie Wayne -34 575- 3 steve smith- 29-414-0 Tyreek Hill 61-593-6 isaax Bruce, Terrell Owens and Emmanuel sanders all failed to reach 525 yards. There are a lot of examples for both sides of the argument. Some of us ignore the fact that one (or several) persons success or failures doesn’t dictate another’s future. -

5 time first team defense. 4 time 2nd team defense. 4 time all star. 4 time nba champion. 1x defensive player of the year. 6’7 with the ability to defend centers and every other position Tremendous facilitator. He WILL be in the Hall of Fame. There’s snow doubt in my mind. Did I say there would be? No. Put words in my mouth. You said NEVER. I said you have no clue what you’re talking about. So you don’t like that teams realized that it was much more difficult to defend a team that has 4 3 pointer shooters on the court at the same times. Spread the d out, penetrate, kick and rotate the ball til it gets an open shot. I get it. It’s not for everyone. I hate the flopping as much as anyone. It sucks. Yes- it’s a different game now. That has nothing to do with the added skill and athleticism of the players. The skill and athleticism is at an all time high. Old school fundamentals have been replaced with new fundamentals to match the new game that’s being played. If you can’t play D nowadays, you can’t play. Defense is being played…. Teams are a lot more difficult to defend due to the rules changing and the evolution of the 3 point shot. OKC plays great defense and they may win the title with one super star and 1 star (yes, Jalin Williams is a star in the making and he also plays great D) because of how they play team defense. you don’t like it. Totally acceptable. I don’t like it as much as I used to either, but I can still watch the game (I watch nba, college, BIG3 and G-league) and see how the skill level is much greater now than it was in the 80’s. These kids play WAY more ball nowadays and have much higher levels of training and coaching available to them. And it shows.
