NFL messing up a good thing (Pat McAfee)
NewEra replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see what kind of a slime ball is and if the public agrees. His views and subs will surely dip if this is fact -

NFL messing up a good thing (Pat McAfee)

They should give away their IP to some businesses that can help them build on their brand and maximize their revenue. The nfl is in bed with sports betting now. Pat works for a sports betting company. It’s not like he’s benefiting from the NFL and not paying them. He’s already paying them 4M per year. Throwing one of your best business partners a bone is rarely a bad idea. -

But they aren’t going to do that because Pat is the best in the business and that’s why they pay him 30M per year. They don’t pay him because he has access to logos. I certainly don’t watch him because of the nfl logos. Fairly certain not one person on earth watches him because he shows NFL logos. So…..your bolded is 💩 -

I didn’t say that they “needed” to give away their product. You asked the question. I answered your question. My answer is correct. Millions of business give away trillions of dollars worth of assets every year. You’re acting as if this doesn’t exist. It’s sales 101. -

MILLIONS of businesses give away their products for free in exchange for positive feedback and marketing. McAfees show portrays the nfl in a positive light 99.99a% of the time. i get what you’re saying and I agree that they deserve to get paid….and they are. 4M a year. But the nfl would rather make more money at the expense of one of their biggest supporters. Eager to see how the show attacks this. -

👍🏻 Been watching him every day since he started on YT. The absolute best, without peer imo. I only watch clips of other talk shows since being spoiled by Pat. I watch his show nearly every m-f -

Trade Deadline (Nov 1) Bills Rumors / Speculation

💯 we’ll eventually run into a brick wall, but if done right, could only really only affect us terribly in one season……while being one of the top 3-5 contenders for a decade -

Ok, sorry. I thought you we insinuating that we can’t sign anyone because we don’t have the cap room. -

If we don’t make a trade, I think Duke would be our lead back if Motor went down. We had 2M cap room to start last offseason. We signed Von Miller, Daquan Jones, Tim Settle, Jordan Phillips, Shaq Lawson, Saffold, Quessenberry, Crowder, Howard and Mckenzie. -
Seriously. He’s his biggest obstacle in becoming a Hall of Famer. If we can pull off 2-3 titles and he keeps playing like this- he’s got a shot.
-
He’s playing very well. If he played like this the last 2 years, we’d have given him an extension already. I feel it’s 50-50 that he’s back. After this season, his price tag will have gone up. Maybe too much to pay

They ran because they wanted to preserve their QB. If they passed more, he probably would’ve been broken in half. Our DL pass rush was wrecking their OL
-
My point: our initial depth was better than everyone thought. We lost our #4 and #5 wr for several weeks. Our #2 wr missed a game and was banged for parts of 2 others. And we still have the top passing game. Not a top passing game. THE top passing game. sure, we could maximize our chance of winning this year at the expense of sustained success. We may do that. We may not. Either way- it’s not necessary to win a title. And if we do mortgage more of the future for a increased chance this year, a Lombardi isn’t guaranteed. It’s a crapshoot either way. A move this year might help us. It could also cost us.
-
Meanwhile, we have the league best passing offense
-
I take it this would be a good thing? Maybe available for the playoffs?

Stop looking at stats. Watch the film. I’ve watched almost every raider game since they moved to Vegas. He’s a much more powerful and explosive back this year compared to the last two. He was better as a rookie than in year 2 and 3. He’s running with more aggression this year. The raiders wouldn’t even pick up his 5th year option. He was that good. He focused on becoming a star so he could get paid. He will. But what does he stay in his focused state long term?
-
A 2nd and a 5th isn’t bad as long as the team can afford to keep the player for at least 2-3 years. I don’t know how many sure fire talents we’ll be able to afford long term. Seems like a year where we trade day 3 picks for depth. but I wouldn’t be surprised if he landed big fish as long as he doesn’t overpay,
