It would be a million times worse if the narrative was he can’t beat Mahomes AND Lamar AND Burrow

For sure- it’ll just be forgotten until Josh and Lamar play in the playoffs next. Then whomever wins that game, will take the mantle until next time. but there’s only one mantle that counts- and this isn’t it I hear ya.

They don’t tell the whole story but Von has played well this season and has flashed enough to know that he’s capable of being a difference maker in the playoffs

It was fine- but they wanted an additional playoff team. So this is the only option. Adding another playoff team in order to “not punish” the #2 seed is lame

And the only reason you feel this way is because we always have the 2 seed. If we had the 1 seed every year, you’d love this current system. If we were the 4 seed every year, you’d feel like we’d getting punished because we play the same amount of games as the 7 seed. The system is fine. Win more

More to the point- just last season the MVP was won by a guy with solid- but far from great stats. Just the better record. To answer your question- because he didn’t even make the playoffs. Stats and team success matters. beating the chiefs and the lions (on the road) should stand for something- I think the loss to the ravens is being overemphasized in the eyes of many.

You’re a ravens fan- you should say that. josh played 11 less quarters of football- the stats would be much closer if we had something to play for over the last month of the season and we didn’t blow so many teams out. point is- he won the mvp last season strictly due to his teams great record and had nothing to do with his stats. This year- the reason he’d be winning is he’s stats? How does that make sense? Your team added Derrick Henry and your team lost 2 additional games. You have 8 pro bowlers other than Lamar. Meanwhile Josh’s “team got worse” and had 2 more wins than last season- the one negative aspect in his game- interceptions- was turned into a positive. Josh has 1 pro bowler along side of him. Meanwhile his team is hosting Lamar’s in the playoffs and Lamar has more talent around him. Most VALUABLE player- not the player who had the best season statistically. Josh is the most valuable- there is no doubt. But I’m glad Josh isn’t going to win the award. More fuel to his fire.

We’ll certainly find out on Sunday. They got worked in week 4. I think they’ll show better. If cook runs for 100 I don’t think much chance we lose. what a weapon Cook is- the OL needs to make sure he’s got some room.

I didn’t say that they lose every time he doesn’t rush for 100. I said that they have a losing record. He only had 100 in one of their losses. We can definitely lose if we hold him under 100, but I think our best chance to win is do our best to shut him down. Especially if Flowers misses the game- but I fully expect him to be out there

I have faith that Milano, Bernard and Williams will do much better than those guys. Good enough of a job? Who knows- but I hope we play around a lot of it. Or mix in some 5-2. I’d be good with some 5-3 vs the Henry, Ricard, Andrews, Likely formation. That’s tough.

He’s also a mismatch for Hamlin. That’s one aspect of their offense. Stopping the run IS their offense. I’ll take my chances with the pass the. When Henry doesn’t run for 100- they had a losing record. That should be our priority. I don’t see us stopping them playing nickel all game

How many snaps do you think we’ll play with Milano-Bernard-Dorian? I’m thinking we play around 25-30% but I hope it’s more. I think it’ll be the key to winning or losing I’d much rather have Dorian Williams out then than Hamlin. Our LB unit can be a strength. We have 3 guys that can run and hit. Hamlin does neither. Let’s stack the box on 1st and 2nd and spy him on 3rd. Let Lamar beat us in the air. If they score (and they probably will either way) and least it will be quick which also give us more opportunities. I just don’t want to see a slow death of constant Henry and Jackson runs getting 5-15 yards every play. I think that’ll happen if Hamlin plays 💯 like he did yesterday. I think Bishop would be a better option if we go with 2 safeties. really hope to see Benford-Taron-Rapp-Douglas-Dorian-Bernard-Milano What percent do you think we need to play in order to win? Do you think we will win if we play 💯 nickel-dime?

what a game by the big man!!! Our OL had themselves a day vs Denver. We will need a repeat performance next week

💯 but Baltimore and Houston. meanwhile we score 30 vs Miami and Indy without cooper. Cooper has made a big impact- but some overstate it while not giving enough credit to our depth being better than ever and our depth making a difference.
