  1. So, wait. Weren't we all told that building a wall was unnecessary because smugglers only smuggle through official ports of entry?
  2. Two thoughts watching this: 1.) The black dude has a great voice. 2.) What the actual *****?
  3. We should send someone like Greta over there to celebrate their sudden drop in carbon emissions. Maybe have her reach out and personally thank those infected affected.
  4. Holy schiff, mean tweets! Those poor union leadershits. Of course, you'll notice that no one is actually saying that the mean tweets aren't actually true... Either way, we must impeach Trump for allowing such bad acts to occur on his watch! He's a threat to democracy, blah blah blah.
  5. So... she publicly wants to help her fellow socialists catch moderate incumbents napping? Or are we now pretending she beat Crowley in the primary through her intelligence, non-crazy platform, and polished debate skills?
  6. I will give her credit - I've never seen someone invest so much lunacy into trying (and failing) to polish a turd. Do those morons really think anyone who isn't already a loony liberal cares about their focus-group tested "impeached forever" line? The more they try to speak about their failed smear, the higher Trump's numbers get. Of course, as a follow up, I'd like to know her opinion on Clinton being acquitted without witnesses, evidence, or a "trial".
  7. So what I get out of this is that Triple HHH is now so rich and powerful, his entrance music follows him everywhere...
  8. Well, I don't think anyone should be shocked at this point. I'm guessing that one major reason the Queen fired him so fast was that they knew more 'friends' of Andrew were going to start getting busted.
  9. His weed tax is a joke. It will still be cheaper to just go to the black market dealers.
  10. No, just short sighted. Should Judge so-and-so be removed for giving a fine someone didn't like? How about actually sentencing someone to jail? Man, I don't like how he ruled on my motion, out he goes. What? He didn't buy the dog bite story? Gone. He evicted someone just for not paying rent? Get rid of him. Do you begin to understand the problem with simply removing judges? That's not even getting into how it takes years for the Court of Appeals (the only entity who can actually remove a judge) to remove a judge for actual malfeasance.
  11. Couldn't have happened to a more ethical representative of the legal profession. Well, it would have, but his ass was disbarred everywhere he was allowed to practice the moment the jury rendered the verdict.
  12. Nah, it's only raysis for our resident evil actual literal super mecha-Nazi and white supremecist President Trump to close the US border to the Chinese.
  13. Gawd, Trump is such a ***** warmonger. Now we just lost WWIV to the ***** Taliban!
  14. Clearly Trump needs a wingman.
  15. Bah, they're just biding their time until they can score the exclusive interview where a tearful Jussie delivers a powerful and emotional rebuke to these unjust, unfair, and racially-motivated charges. The interview will be conducted after a few script revisions and rehearsals (Jussie is working hard to learn his crying cues.)
  16. If they were working on our behalf, they wouldn’t be pushing this bill.. Uh... have they not heard of the Supremacy Clause? Also, how do they think that a state court has any authority to grant a writ over someone in federal detention? Though it would be quite hilarious for someone to try to sue the agents or federal government in state court with this "civil action" nonsense. I hate grandstanding moron politicians.
  17. Trump's morning bowel movement is a threat to democracy! Mostly because he's a blithering idiot.
  18. Eh, that's bush league. I plan on marketing Dr. Koko's miracle cure. Guaranteed to cure the flu, or your money back. Guaranteed!* *Guarantee not guaranteed. No refunds. Caveat emptor.
  19. They had that for centuries. They generally set bail. Thus the bail reforms. That's an incredibly bad can of worms you suggest opening.
  20. Hard to say, I don't know the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure that well. If it were a NY case, a motion could be made directly to the trial court to vacate the conviction based upon juror misconduct (and subsequently made part of an appeal if denied.) Not sure if the Federal Courts allow for something similar, or require the issue be raised on direct appeal. As for sentencing, the judge alone makes that call. In fact, the federal rules specifically prohibit judges from having any type of conference with the prosecutor and defense attorney regarding sentence, even as part of plea negotiations. Judges can (and do) consider recommendations from both sides, but they alone make the call. That's why I think the idiots flipping out over Trump's tweets are hilarious.
  21. It's too early to pardon General Flynn. The case needs to play itself out, if for no other reason than to continue to expose the corruption that continues to go on within the DOJ.
  22. Even USA Today and Yahoo can't hide it anymore: https://www.yahoo.com/news/more-6-10-americans-feel-150836030.html Declaring bankruptcy isn't going to save them. It's a pretty obvious tactical move to avoid paying him when they lose.
  23. That's the New York CITY bar, not the New York Bar Association.
