Global warming will make political stunts involving paid 'migrants' more frequent?!? Is there nothing that Global Warming cannot do? -

Anderson better mentor for Allen? I think so.
Koko78 replied to Thick or thin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the idea of a low-end former starter coming in as a mentor/backup. Anderson (hopefully) is one of those guys who had to do the extra mental and film work to make up for a lack of raw physical talent/ability. He should be able to teach Allen how to better break down defenses, how to recognize tendencies and coverages, what his reads are, how to react to those reads, when he should be calling an audible, and how to watch film. It was a good sign when I saw Allen quoted somewhere that when he came in on Anderson's first day as a Bill, Derek had already been there for several hours, already worked out, and was watching game film. That's the type of work ethic that should be rubbing off on a young QB (regardless of talent level.) -

Shameful, but not surprising. Anything it takes to win - without actually having a coherent platform or candidates worth a crap. -
That's the idea. These mass movements are designed to provoke. They want to orchestrate something similar to this:

Applying and upholding the Bill of Rights is not even close to being "pro business." The Constitution still trumps statutes. -

The nuance is quite important. You seem to forget that the Court is no longer activist. As for the BBQ case, you should actually read that decision. The Court went to near comical-levels of mental gymnastics to use the Commerce Clause to apply the Civil Rights Act to the restaurant. Don't expect the current Court to do that. -

Not true. You can always go on welfare, raid food pantries, and/or be a bum. Word has it they allow you to just crap in the streets now. Nah, he's just the token *****. -
Amazing what happens when you have a president in office who has a set of balls.

Ben Shapiro Explains The Transgender Conundrum
Koko78 replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Says who? Or, more accurately, who says that a baker cannot be forced to bake a cake, participating in a ceremony that he finds offensive to the tenets of his closely-held religion? There isn't a 'probably' about it. That is what was argued. As for the rest, we'll see. -
It's not surprising. He was a journalist working in the US for an Anti-Trump rag, who was allegedly murdered by agents of an ally of Trump, after Trump called fake news the enemy of the people, which was spun by the fake news purveyors to be all journalists. This is the media taking questionable information and trying to disrupt what Trump is doing. They laid the groundwork for using any violence against a journalist as Trump's fault when they intentionally and repeatedly misrepresented his attack on fake news. Journalists fancy themselves the heroes of their own stories, to the point where they are delusional about how important they are.

Jerry Hughes frustrated with Bills offense after Texans game
Koko78 replied to Rebel101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He isn't wrong. Well, he is in that the Bills weren't constantly running that play. Not wrong in that they kept running the same ineffective plays. The offense seems to shy away from anything that's working. -

Ben Shapiro Explains The Transgender Conundrum

So Jews can deny service because they find Nazi symbolism obscene or against their values, but a Christian cannot deny service because they find participating in a homosexual ceremony obscene or against their religious values? Can I force a Christian baker to create a cake utilizing religious symbols of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster for use at a Pastafarian ceremony, even though their belief is that there is no God but God? By the way, that actually is a recognized religion, so answer the fookin' question. Semantics aside, the real issue at play was whether there is a clear distinction between denying the individual and denying participating in a ceremony that the business owner deemed inconsistent with his values. The baker was quite clear that he was not refusing service based on the individuals (in fact, he declined to bake the same cake when their heterosexual mother requested it.) In fact, he was quite willing to sell them any pre-made goods in his store. The argument is that by creating a custom cake for their ceremony (which was essentially a party, since same-sex marriages were illegal in Colorado at the time) he was participating in a ceremony that was inconsistent with his religious beliefs. Involuntary servitude - slavery - has nothing to do with whether or not you're paid. Slaves are usually compensated by way of food, shelter, etc. (though, obviously, for less-than-altruistic reasons.) Slavery exists when the individual's right to choose not to perform work is eliminated. That's why it's called involuntary. You're demanding that people, like the baker, have no choice but to perform custom services and participate in ceremonies that are not consistent with, and even offensive to, their beliefs. Slavery is not, and never has been, confined to whites owning blacks. No one mentioned race in this thread. That's why your strawman arguments are strawman arguments. You're inventing positions to rail against. -
Disgraceful. You don’t hear of Republicans targeting places like this for hosting Democrat events. On the bright side, at least he can rest assured that none of the idiots threatening to boycott his business actually live anywhere near his business.
