Occasi-Cortez Channeling the Rent's too damn high guy
Koko78 replied to bdutton's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I'd love to see the look on her face when they primary her in 2020. -
I'd rather see DHS release them by the busload into neighborhoods where Alyssa Milano, Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, Kamala Harris, etc. live, when released pending asylum/deportation proceedings. They're fine upstanding people, after all. They should be welcomed with opened arms in those secure, gated communities.

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
Koko78 replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
If your goal is to paint Trump as an the greatest unhinged liar in the US, you might not want to give him competition for the title... -
Asian carp are prime to have frickin' laser beams attached to their heads. A perfect deterrent for a large chunk of the border.

Just remember, folks: Whomever Trump's next nominee is will have sexually assaulted someone at an unspecified date, time, and place 3 or more decades ago. We are not to question the allegations, at all. We must completely believe the thin/vague story that will be cobbled together on the fly, and remark at how brave and noble the victim is for coming forward on their own, flanked by Democrat operatives legal counsel, and without compensation (that isn't coming from multiple large GoFundMe donations whose IP addresses somehow matches those of the DNC.)

You know Trump's nominating a female judge for the position, just to screw with the Democrats (and probably because she's qualified and *****.)

Part of the problem with the separate brands is that there is no actual separation between the shows - they refer to each other a lot, they have talent bouncing back and forth (Cena, etc.), they have 'Sueprstar shakeups' every so often, they "co-brand" PPV events, etc. Most egregiously, there's generally been an obvious bias towards Raw in terms of siphoning the better wrestlers, treating Smackdown like a lesser show. People pick up on that. Mostly the same reasons ECW failed as its own show - it was the same exact product as Raw and Smackdown, and treated like a joke by the company. The only way having a WCW/ECW promotion succeed (under the general WWE banner - or better yet the old Titan Sports label McMahon used for years) would have been to completely divorce it from the rest of the WWE programming. If the promotion was sufficiently different, had sufficient resources thrown at it, wasn't regularly raided for talent, and wasn't obviously treated as a joke of a red-headed stepchild in front of the audience, it could have worked. Of course, it's been almost 20 years since WCW was a thing; it doesn't really matter anymore. There's no loyal WCW audience left to build off of.

People are literally going to die if the immoral wall is built!

Global warming err Climate change HOAX
Koko78 replied to Very wide right's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Unfortunately, ~33 years later, Cary Elwes must now be excommunicated, forced into treatment, allowed to make a hollow apology, and then executed because he made a comment about a woman's breasts that could have potentially made someone, somewhere, at some time uncomfortable. #TimesUp -
That would be fun if he retired in 2020. I'd love to hear all the Democrats screaming about how the Biden rule should suddenly now be enforced.

Uh, you do realize that physical barriers aren't actually on the exact border, right?

The Deep State War Heats Up

What, do you think that this schiff happens by chance? WAKE UP, SHEEPLE! -

One of two options: 1.) To create the elixir of life to perpetuate the Illuminati-controlled Buildabear council; or 2.) To ***** with DC Tom because penguin pineal glands can activate the dormant THC in Tom Petty's corpse, resurrecting him as some sort of stoned Penguin-Petty hybrid monster. -
I suspect that it's far more likely that the federal workers will be telling their reps "Give him the $5 ***** billion so we can get back to work (with retroactive pay)" than they will be telling them, "Hey, don't worry about us, stick it to the orange bastard!"

Trump has no incentive to care about empty promises for future negotiation; Pelosi has already explicitly stated that they're not going to negotiate even if he agrees to open the government. The Democrats have stupidly painted themselves into a corner with no weasel room. Popular opinion is eventually going to turn against their blatant unreasonableness, especially if Trump keeps the message going that he's at the White House ready to negotiate at any time. This is why you never (as a politician) deal in absolutes. You either look weak or like an idiot if you have to cave.

If they had anyone at the DNC with an IQ over 60, they'd horsetrade full funding for the wall/border security in exchange for DACA and amnesty/path to citizenship for adult illegals. That allows them to claim that they were the adults in the room, that they care about our nation's security, and that they really gave up nothing to protect the vulnerable Dreamers and migrants. We all damn well know Trump will give away the store to claim a an easily-negated victory on the wall funding. Of course, the dumbschiffs would rather just paint themselves into a corner, then cry collusion.

I actually rather like this analogy. The Democrat's current position is that since there's no evidence the fire extinguisher will completely eliminate the fire, you shouldn't try. As for your second paragraph, I agree. Hyperbole aside, a wall is going to help the multitude of problems on the southern border, but standing alone will not be a solution.

I checked with the Pony Express office, here you go:
-
So, they keep statistics on drugs that are moving undetected through open spaces of the border? Again: Drugs are just one of the problems. The wall alone is not a panacea, but apparently everyone who actually works on the border thinks it will help. These are not hard concepts to understand. That too, since we're all immoral racists for wanting some sort of control over our country's borders.

Trump To Address The Nation Tonight
Koko78 replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
There's a reason that one of the recent House rule changes was to eliminate the ability to have a vote of no confidence for the Speaker. -
I can't. I heard it over the telegraph.
-
One would think that the primary purpose of the wall being to funnel people to more easily managed entry points would be a simple concept to grasp. Of course, any logical position that isn't DNC-approved does not compute with the NPCs. These are the same dipschiffs that think posting 'Drug-Free Zone' or 'No Guns Allowed' signs deter crime.
-
Well, at least there were no pork chops involved... I love this strawman. No one has ever said that a wall all by itself would be a panacea that will immediately stop all drugs, illegal immigrants, and human traffickers.
