  3. It might be time for Rep. Jamaal Bowman to pull another fire alarm. Today, Politico has a story about his reversal on the question of whether or not Hamas militants sexually assaulted Israeli women during the 10/7 attack on Israel. More than a month after the attack, Rep. Bowman told a pro-Palestinian gathering in White Plains, NY that those reports were a "lie" and "propaganda." https://hotair.com/john-s-2/2024/03/26/rep-bowman-does-a-u-turn-on-hamas-and-sexual-assault-n3785414

  6. Maritime Journalist Shares Early Analysis of Francis Scott Key Bridge Disaster From his link: “The vessel notified the MD Department of Transportation (MDOT) that they had lost control and a collision with the bridge was possible,” ABC quoted the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s report as saying. “The vessel struck the bridge, causing a complete collapse.” She struck the southwest support column at a speed of 7.6 knots (8.7 MPH). Cameras from the Vessel Traffic Service captured footage of the collision and subsequent collapse. The ship’s lights went out twice before the collision, indicating possible issues in the engine room. Despite the quick restoration of lighting, this suggests a full blackout occurred, prompting the emergency generator to restore basic electrical services and lighting. Without propulsion or tugboats, a ship this size is nearly impossible to stop. The emergency generator does not connect to propulsion but should support steering and navigation systems but the ships heading appears to have been pushed off course by the wind directly into the support column. Ships are not required to have tugboat escorts when passing under the Francis Scott Key Bridge so they have limited ability to slow down on their own when they lose power and can not put the propeller into reverse. https://gcaptain.com/ship-lost-control-before-hitting-baltimore-bridge/ https://twitchy.com/samj/2024/03/26/maritime-journalist-shares-early-analysis-of-francis-scott-key-bridge-disaster-n2394406 You can read Konrad's full analysis here.
  7. Back to the news: Ship Lost Control Before Hitting Baltimore Bridge John Konrad The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore collapsed early today after the large containerships Dali struck a primary support column. Two individuals were rescued, one is seriously injured, and authorities estimate that seven people are currently missing, though the number could be higher. This incident represents the most severe US bridge collision since the Tampa Skyway Bridge disaster in 1980. The event occurred in the early morning hours as the ship was leaving the port under pilotage. Agencies are reporting the containership Dali, which collided with a Baltimore bridge on Tuesday, “lost propulsion” while exiting the port. The crew on board alerted Maryland officials that they had lost control of the vessel, as reported by ABC News, citing an unclassified U.S. intelligence report. “The vessel notified the MD Department of Transportation (MDOT) that they had lost control and a collision with the bridge was possible,” ABC quoted the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s report as saying. “The vessel struck the bridge, causing a complete collapse.” According to Marine Traffic the ship departed the Seagirt Marine Terminal in the Port of Baltimore at approximately 00:30 local time, sailed northwest past the Nuclear Ship Savanah then turned southeast to depart the harbor, released the tugboats, and collided with the bridge at approximately 01:38. https://gcaptain.com/ship-lost-control-before-hitting-baltimore-bridge/
  8. This video of Pete Buttigieg is not from this morning. In the meantime, it's a good reminder of what Buttigieg thinks is most important when working on transportation in America. Watching this it's hard to believe it's real life BUT then we're reminded this guy works for Biden who picked his entire cabinet based on what identity boxes people checked off so then again, maybe it's not all that hard to believe. Take a gander yourselves: https://twitchy.com/samj/2024/03/26/pete-buttigieg-racism-n2394408

  10. White House Absurdly Claims Biden Won't Let GOP 'Defund the Police,' Other Preposterous Nonsense By Mike Miller As exclusively reported by Fox News, the opening sentence reads like satire: Farcical — on several fronts. First, of course, it was Democrat city officials across America who ushered in the insanity of the Defund movement in the aftermath of George Floyd's death and subsequent left-wing riots. Second, to suggest that the Republican Party owns record violent crime rates in this country — which run rampant in Democrat-run cities —is preposterous. Then again, Joe Biden. 12. As terrible as the loss of life is, this is really a very troubling event Baltimore's is one of the biggest ports in the country. A lot of bulk freight exports originate from there. Now that port is probably closed for the foreseeable future.
  13. "No matter how much one disapproves of Mr. Trump, or wishes that his presidential ambitions fail, every defendant deserves due process, including recourse to appeal...." "Seeking appeal should not be effectively impossible, or expensive to the point of imposing vast and irreparable harm, particularly when a defendant has a colorable argument before appellate judges, as Mr. Trump appears to have...." 14. 1. Prayers for all the victims and their families. 2. Sometimes a tragic accident is just that. 3. If you want to assign blame regarding the bridges condition, then don't just name Biden, but EVERY person in congress over the past few decades (all sides) With their fake infrastructure bills and their Trillion dollar budgets packed with nonsense. Wasting our money to buy votes. .
  15. There they go again. The Biden-Harris campaign put out a statement Monday calling Trump "feeble, confused, and tired." Rupar says that Trump is so confused that he thinks Andrew Cuomo is the current governor of New York, even though the clip he posted never mentions the name Cuomo. No. He didn't. He said that James ran against the current governor. . . . . . . . . . which she did.
