  1. These protesters go to extraordinary lengths to prove their dedication to the cause. Some glue themselves to the road. Others chain their hands together inside PVC pipe so they can't be moved. This genius stuck his arm in a concrete barrel and screamed in pain when the police finally showed up and worked to remove him. Listen to him yelling how they're "twisting his hand" when they're telling him to just let go of the rebar.
  2. Trump’s Perfect Jab in the Eye to Alvin Bragg During a Bodega Visit. Trump went to Harlem to speak to Maad Ahmed and small business advocate Francisco Marte at the Sanaa Convenient Store, formerly known as the Blue Convenient Store. This is the bodega where a clerk, Jose Alba, stabbed an ex-con to death in self-defense two years ago. The case became national news because Alba was charged with murder. It was D.A. Alvin Bragg who decided to charge Jose with murder though Austin Simon, a 35-year-old ex-con, was caught on camera cornering Alba, 61, in a fight over chips. Simon’s girlfriend, Tina Lee, stabbed Alba during the chaos. Jose was charged with second-degree murder and spent about a week in jail before prosecutors in Alvin Bragg’s office agreed to lower his $250,000 bail. The charges were eventually dropped, thanks to the pressure from the public who were outraged. Jose was so traumatized by the whole experience that he returned to the Dominican Republic, where he remains today. Ahmed and Marte are supporting Donald Trump for president. They have had enough, as other small business owners have. Local government in New York City is allowing crime to run rampant and bodegas are robbed regularly. His message to Trump, he said, was to be that the city is not safe. . . . The visit to the bodega after spending all day in court was classic Trump on the campaign trail. Mingling with ordinary working people is his superpower. Joe Biden was campaigning in Scranton, Pennsylvania on Tuesday. He made a campaign speech before screened supporters and then went to a training facility of some sort and delivered some remarks. https://hotair.com/karen-townsend/2024/04/17/trumps-perfect-jab-in-the-eye-to-alvin-bragg-during-a-bodega-visit-n3786664 .

  4. Nothing Is Going to Bump Jill Biden From the Elder Abuse Train. “Yes, this is another discussion about Joe Biden being addled, embarrassing, and a detriment to the security of the country. These are tough to avoid because Joe Biden is, after all, addled, embarrassing, and a detriment to the security of the country.” https://pjmedia.com/stephen-kruiser/2024/04/17/the-morning-briefing-nothing-is-going-to-bump-jill-biden-from-the-elder-abuse-train-n4928242

  6. EVERYONE knows that he is going to be found guilty. It is a foregone conclusion of this blatant Lawfare. What we also know is that it won't make a slightest bit of difference to thinking Americans. .
  7. House Republicans Deliver Mayorkas Impeachment Articles to Senate by James Lynch House Republicans delivered articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to the Senate on Tuesday, setting up a trial over the cabinet secretary’s complicity in the record surge in illegal immigration that emerged under President Biden. A group of GOP impeachment managers walked over to the Senate Tuesday afternoon to officially deliver the articles and initiate an impeachment trial as Democrats seek to expedite the process or dismiss the charges altogether. Senators will be sworn-in as jurors on Wednesday to begin trial proceedings. https://www.nationalreview.com/news/house-republicans-deliver-mayorkas-impeachment-articles-to-senate/ .
  8. SCOTUS Arguments Don’t Bode Well For DOJ Prosecutors Pushing J6 Obstruction Charges LESLIE MCADOO GORDON The Supreme Court heard arguments Tuesday morning in the case of Fischer v. United States, one of the many criminal cases arising out of the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol. Like defendants in a large subset of those cases, Joseph Fischer was charged, among other offenses, with obstruction of an official proceeding under 18 U.S.C. 1512(c)(2). Fischer’s case in the Supreme Court challenges whether the events of that day can be prosecuted using this obstruction statute. Most of the justices seemed dubious, or at a minimum concerned, about the Department of Justice’s very broad interpretation of the statute allowing it to sweep in the kinds of conduct that Jan. 6 encompassed. If the court rules for Fischer, his case will automatically apply to all Jan. 6 cases that include a Section 1512 charge and radically change those cases, including the prosecution against former President Donald Trump in D.C. In virtually all instances, such a ruling would likely require that the Section 1512 charges be dismissed outright. [snip] The precise scope that the court gives to 1512(c)(2), however, could potentially leave open the possibility that a few defendants, including former President Trump, could still be charged under it using a narrower set of allegations. Such a case would then likely bring to the forefront some of the statute’s other issues, which were only touched upon briefly in Tuesday’s argument, such as the meaning of the “official proceeding” requirement. Absent extraordinary circumstances, the justices should render their decision and opinion in the case by the end of the current court term, which traditionally closes June 30 of each calendar year. 9. Imagine that. Billslime takes an old thread that proves how the GOP has always been promoting OTC access for birth control, and tries (and fails) to attack Republicans, but only showing that he doesn't understand what "constitutionally unsound" means.
  10. I was on a jury a few years back, but the funny part about being in a rural area showed up. I didn't know the accused, and even though I wasn't what you would call friends with the judge, she did have to notify the attorneys that she had been at a neighborhood party that I was at also, a few nights before. .
  11. They didn't all get there on their own. Who is organizing/paying ? Is ANY media curious ? .
  12. Don't bother. He thinks being snarky is equivalent to being clever. Meanwhile, back at the thread.
