Promises Made, Promises KEPT! --> Trump Is About to Change the Deep State Forever and CUE the Shrieking And here we GO! Remember when President Donald J. Trump ran on actually draining the swamp and the Left didn't believe him? Heck, even certain people on the Right didn't think he'd follow through. And then Trump won with a mandate based on promises like draining the swamp, securing the border, and you know, putting America first. Welp, it sounds like he is keeping the promises he made to the American people. Again. He is slowly but surely draining that swamp and at this rate, it may never recover. Thank God. https://twitchy.com/samj/2025/02/18/trump-firing-dhs-employees-n2408535

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
B-Man replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
UNEXPECTEDLY! How COVID Pushed a Generation of Young People to the Right. For decades, America’s young voters have been deeply—and famously—progressive. In 2008, a youthquake sent Barack Obama to the White House. In 2016, voters ages 18 to 29 broke for Hillary Clinton by 18 points. In 2020, they voted for Joe Biden by 24 points. In 2024, Donald Trump closed most of the gap, losing voters under 30 by a 51–47 margin. In one recent CBS poll, Americans under 30 weren’t just evenly split between the parties. They were even more pro-Trump than Boomers over 65. Precisely polling teens and 20-somethings is a fraught business; some surveys suggest that Trump’s advantage among young people might already be fading. But young people’s apparent lurch right is not an American-only trend. “Far-right parties are surging across Europe—and young voters are buying in,” the journalist Hanne Cokelaere wrote for Politico last year. In France, Germany, Finland, and beyond, young voters are swinging their support toward anti-establishment far-right parties “in numbers equal to and even exceeding older voters.” In Germany, a 2024 survey of 2,000 people showed that young people have adopted a relatively new “gloomy outlook” on the future. No surprise, then, that the far-right Alternative für Deutschland has become the most popular party among Germans under 30. Like most interesting phenomena, this one even has a German name: Rechtsruck, or rightward shift. What’s driving this global Rechtsruck? It’s hard to say for sure. Maybe the entire world is casting a protest vote after several years of inflation. Last year was the largest wipeout for political incumbents in the developed world since the end of the Second World War. One level deeper, it wasn’t inflation on its own, but rather the combination of weak real economic growth and record immigration that tilled the soil for far-right upstarts, who can criticize progressive governments on both sides of the Atlantic for their failure to look out for their own citizens first. There is another potential driver of the global right turn: the pandemic. Pandemics might not initially seem to cash out in any particular political direction. After all, in the spring of 2020, one possible implication of the pandemic seemed to be that it would unite people behind a vision of collective sacrifice—or, at least, collective appreciation for health professionals, or for the effect of vaccines to reduce severe illness among adults. But political science suggests that pandemics are more likely to reduce rather than build trust in scientific authorities. https://archive.is/yHvH6 Yes, why could that be? And then in June, after the public went along with the lockdowns because of that message being constantly hammered home by Fauci, Birx, videos of celebrities singing “Imagine” from their mansions and yachts, and the somber repetitive “We’re all in this together” television commercials, the entire health care profession did a 180 that was worthy of Oceania: EXACTLY “That episode single-handedly destroyed trust in public health officials, proving they’d politicize their expertise when convenient. Corporate media celebrated a douchebag-lawyer shaming families at deserted beaches, then — overnight! — cheered densely packed street protests.” -

I thought that he was President. That's what I was told •Musk has no actual or formal authority to make government decisions himself •is simply serving as senior advisor to President Trump •can only advise the President and communicate the President’s directives •He is not an employee of DOGE but an employee of the White House •Musk is like Anita Dunn, who was also a Special Government Employee but an influential senior advisor to President Biden

#JOURNALISM: Associated Press Now Making S**t Up Because They Are Big Mad at Trump. “The Associated Press claims to be the gold standard of journalism, but their reporters are about what you would expect: entitled midwits who are emotionally incontinent and who weaponize their hatred for their own ends.” -
Florida Voter Fraud Case Could Overturn U.S. House Race by Jeff Lukens Last November, Democrat fraudsters bypassed the presidential race and focused instead on the down-ballot races. In Florida, local Democrat candidates received more votes than either Donald Trump or Kamala Harris at the top of the ballot. Something was definitely amiss. For instance, Republican Rocky Rochford was running against incumbent Democrat Kathy Castor for the U.S. House seat in Congressional Race 14 (FL-14). The district straddles Hillsborough and Pinellas counties and includes the cities of Tampa and St. Petersburg. Castor was declared the winner, but Rochford is now contesting the race, claiming voter fraud, primarily by vote-by-mail ballots. https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2025/02/florida_voter_fraud_case_could_overturn_u_s_house_race.html

Note that she didn't even contemplate this when he was indicted for corruption for being on the Turkish payroll. Only when he agreed to cooperate with the enforcement of federal law. If Eric Adams Is Removed as NYC Mayor, We All Know This Was the Reason Townhall, by Matt Vespa New York City Mayor Eric Adams faced a slew of resignations this week. It’s called into question whether he can govern the city, which is why Gov. Kathy Hochul is holding a series of meetings on the subject. It could end with her removing Adams from office, though the mayor said he isn’t going anywhere.Just four days ago, it was reported that Hochul isn’t rushing to decide on Adams, even though the circumstances surrounding the Department of Justice dropping their case against Mr. Adams has reportedly shaken Hochul. Still, we know it's all an act: As New York City descended into a full-blown crisis of confidence in Mayor Eric Adams this week, alarmed civic leaders and elected officials turned the pressure up on Gov. Kathy Hochul to invoke her authority to remove him from office. They argued that the extraordinary step had become necessary after the prosecutor overseeing a federal corruption case against Mr. Adams said on Thursday that the mayor and the Justice Department had struck a corrupt bargain to shield him from further prosecution. The prosecutor resigned rather than ratify the deal. Ms. Hochul, a Democrat, called the allegations “extremely concerning and serious,” and was soliciting views from powerful fellow Democrats and her closest advisers. Of course, the now-ex-prosecutor overseeing Adams’ case would feel that way. If she goes through with this ploy, however, it’s pretty clear that Hochul will remove Adams not over administrative and legal matters but because the mayor is working with Trump border czar Tom Homan to deport illegal aliens. Was Hochul considering this 'dump Adams' option when the DOJ filed corruption charges against him? The answer would be 'no' https://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2025/02/18/ny-gov-seriously-consieering-removing-mayor-eric-adams-and-the-reason-is-beyond-transparent-n2652385

Out you go. . . . . . Acting head of Social Security Administration resigns after dispute with Elon Musk’s DOGE: report The Social Security Administration’s acting commissioner reportedly resigned over the weekend after a dispute with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) over the Elon Musk-headed group’s efforts to access sensitive government records. Michelle King, a career federal worker who had been with SSA since 1994, quit over the DOGE disagreement Saturday and was replaced by Leland Dudek, the Washington Post reported on Monday. Dudek, who has been supportive of DOGE’s efforts to root out waste, fraud and abuse in the federal government, will serve as acting commissioner of SSA until President Trump’s pick to lead the agency, Frank Bisignano, is confirmed by the Senate, according to the outlet. https://nypost.com/2025/02/17/us-news/acting-head-of-social-security-administration-michelle-king-resigns-after-dispute-with-doge-report/
