  4. The Resistance To Climate Alarmism Grows Issues & Insights, by The Editorial Board The end is near. That’s what we’ve been told since the beginning. The doomsdayers have cited a variety of cataclysms that will do us in, from asteroids to resource exhaustion to a dying sun. But they all have one thing in common: So far, they’ve all been wrong. Same with the climate alarmists. And the public is catching on. A study, published by the Stanford University School of Sustainability, no less, found that “resistance to climate action has become a global movement that strengthens after governments implement climate-related policies. https://issuesinsights.com/2025/03/03/the-resistance-to-climate-alarmism-grows/ .

  6. WHY ZELENSKY CANNOT MAKE PEACE Zelensky’s meltdown in the Oval Office began over his refusal to accept a negotiated settlement to the war. Even the Vice President’s use of the word “diplomacy” provoked a heated response. So why can’t Zelensky make a peace deal? 1) He will lose power. Zelensky cancelled elections in Ukraine and remains in power through martial law. Despite what USAID propaganda polls may claim, Zelensky is unpopular in Ukraine and would likely lose a fair election. That could leave him vulnerable to retaliation from political opponents he has imprisoned or seized assets from. In short, Zelensky needs the war to justify his continued rule. 2) The gravy train will end. Ukraine was widely acknowledged as the most corrupt country in Europe before the war, and there is abundant evidence that Ukrainian elites have been hugely profiting from the billions in Western aid. If the war ends, so does the gravy train. A post-war audit of where the money went would also be disastrous for Zelensky’s supporters. 3) He fears the ultra-nationalists. Most Ukrainians say they want the war to end, but the ultra-nationalist faction (a relative minority but well-armed and willing to use violence to achieve their ends) refuses to accept any territorial concessions to Russia. If Zelensky signs such a deal, he has reason to fear for his safety. 4) He’s psychologically committed. Zelensky’s belief in ultimate victory over Russia has “hardened into a form that worries some of his advisors,” according to a report by TIME Magazine, which described Zelensky’s faith as “immovable, verging on the messianic.” According to one of Zelensky’s aides, “He is delusional. We’re out of options. We’re not winning. But try telling him that.” Zelensky may be in too deep to see the situation objectively. 5) History will judge him harshly. Zelensky could have accepted a draft peace deal signed in the first month of the war, the Istanbul Accords, under which Ukraine would have kept all of its territory in exchange for neutrality. A deal now will likely be modeled on Istanbul but require Ukraine to recognize realities on the ground (ie loss of territory). Acknowledging that hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians have died only to get a worse deal may be too bitter a pill for Zelensky to swallow, now or ever. In summary, Zelensky has powerful motivations to reject a deal, no matter how bad the battlefield realities get. His incentive is to continue a doomed war even if it leads to the complete destruction of Ukraine. Instead of offering unconditional support, Zelensky’s supporters in the West should be urging him to seek a diplomatic off-ramp. Certainly they should stop catering to his unrealistic and maximalist demands. As Solzhenitsyn said, the yes-man is your enemy, but a friend will argue with you.
  7. SHOCKING! Oh Wait, No it isn't: Recently CANNED Joy Reid Allegedly Goes on Antisemitic Rant Blaming Jews for COVID Remember when Joy Reid claimed Russian hackers put a bunch of antisemitic, homophobic writing on her personal blog? Granted, these same hackers would have had to be time travelers because all the old entries were clearly from her ... Looking back on that, seeing this nugget cross our timeline is verrrrry interesting. Seems Joy allegedly went on an antisemitic rant blaming the Jews for COVID. https://twitchy.com/samj/2025/03/02/joy-reid-antisemitic-rant-blaming-jews-for-covid-n2409197
  8. Democrats Encouraged Zelensky to Scoff at a Possible Peace Deal, Setting Up Oval Office Blowout Democrat Senator Chris Murphy (CT) and presumably others encouraged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to reject the prospect of a peace deal without so-called "security guarantees" (a euphemism for American military commitments) just before the now-infamous Oval Office blow-out. As reported, a 40-minute presser between Zelensky and President Donald Trump turned sour after the former, who had been antagonistic and dismissive of U.S. concerns throughout the meeting, interjected to interrogate JD Vance for the cameras. The vice president had mentioned working toward diplomacy, which didn't sit well with the Ukrainian president, and in a move that struck the administration as disrespectful, Zelensky publicly denounced any possibility of a ceasefire that would pause the war with Russia. A later tweetstorm from the Ukrainian president only appeared to fray relations further. One of the big questions was how we even arrived at that point. What caused Zelensky to walk into the White House with the sense that he could bully Trump in front of the press and scoff at any diplomatic negotiations? A post made by Murphy gives the game away. Less than an hour before entering the Oval Office, Zelensky met with several lawmakers, including Murphy and other Democrats. Based on the wording of the above post, the senator (or someone else at the table) pressed the Ukrainian president to reject a "fake peace agreement," which is a clear shot at Trump's attempts at diplomacy. At the very least, these Democrats encouraged Zelensky to remain defiant in that position, and we all know what happened next. Attending that meeting and glad-handing with left-wing partisans who do not want peace because it would make them look bad was a colossal mistake by Zelensky. He needed to go into the Oval Office with a reconciliatory attitude. No one was asking him to sign a peace deal with Russia on the spot. All Trump wants to do is hold talks. Ukrainian leaders would still hold the right to reject ceasefire terms if they saw fit. Zelensky needs to understand that these Democrats have no power. The Biden administration is gone, and Republicans control both the Senate and the House. Chris Murphy isn't going to be writing Ukraine a check. All he and his cohorts can do is virtue-signal, and that's not winning any battles against Russia. https://redstate.com/bonchie/2025/03/02/democrats-encouraged-zelensky-to-scoff-at-a-peace-deal-setting-up-oval-office-blow-out-n2186178
  9. Your Sunday Clarice. . . . . . . . . Zelensky’s Terrible, Horrible, Very Bad, No Good Day By Clarice Feldman FTA: The week ended with a blowup of what was supposed to be the signing of an agreement between the Ukraine and the U.S., a preliminary step for opening negotiations with Russia to end the war. How you view the consequences of the blowup seems like an inkblot test: If you see the U.S. abandoning a faithful ally, you probably are a Democrat. If you see Volodymyr Zelensky as an arrogant grifter who overplayed his hand, you probably aren’t. Luckily the entire meeting is available on video so you can see for yourself the context in which the last few minutes occurred. Those few minutes being the only thing most viewers saw. Not without basis, President Trump believes that China, not Russia, is a bigger threat to this country and disengaging Russia from this fight will further our chances of drawing Putin away from alliances with China. Not without reason, the President believes the war is a meat grinder, an ongoing stalemate which could well lead to World War III if Ukraine is admitted to NATO and more weaponry and manpower from elsewhere are poured into the conflict. Not without reason, the President thinks both Russia and Ukraine have suffered substantial human and economic losses which will only continue unless both sides make some concessions and none of the suggested concessions he has hinted at supporting jeopardize either country’s vital interests. Not without reason, the President wants to know to what use Ukraine put all the billions of dollars we gave them to defend itself from Russia. Zelensky has three times indicated a willingness to sign an agreement with us, granting us mineral rights. The president thinks that once we establish that we have these interests in Ukraine, Putin will not further attack. Zelensky, doubtless egged on by those who wish the war to continue, wants a promise of more concrete security guarantees -- i.e., NATO troops on the ground and more military equipment -- but he nevertheless agreed to sign on to this, once in a meeting with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant when he said he’d sign at Munich, again in a second meeting at Munich when he said he'd sign at Washington, and a third time when he was invited to do so in the Oval Office. Having pledged three times to do so, in a public meeting in the White House (in which disrespectfully he appeared in some kind of athleisure wear) he regularly interrupted the president, insisted once again on a firm security pledge, not only the mineral rights agreement. He rolled his eyes, shook his head, and brought his country’s ambassador to tears with his performance. Finally, he was escorted out of the White House without an opportunity to enjoy the luncheon planned for him. The post-signing press conference which had been scheduled was cancelled. Zelensky clearly misjudged his bargaining strength or the consequences of this stunt. I’m quite sure his fanciful overestimation of his strength and the U.S. support for him was due to people like Antony Blinken, Victoria Nuland, and Alexander Vindman, who reportedly encouraged this intransigence to come to terms, and equally toothless and discredited EU officials and members. {snip} Here’s my take: A clear-eyed, masterful negotiator looked at the field, came up with what he believes is the best available deal for his client (us) and the world and a posturing midget egged on by arrogant armchair warriors failed to grab it. Instead, Zelensky used this opportunity to insult his strongest benefactor and seems stunned to learn that was a stupid move. If this administration had a coat of arms, it would be encircled by a motto reading “FAFO.” https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2025/03/zelensky_s_terrible_horrible_very_bad_no_good_day.html .
  10. Washington Post’s Josh Rogin had a shocking response: he couldn’t agree more with what Jennings said, which he admitted might get him roasted on social media. It’s surprising in the sense that the people sitting opposite of Jennings usually get turned into sashimi with weak talking points and liberal insanity. Not here. Zelensky misread the room terribly, which culminated in the Oval Office smackdown that was witnessed by all, horrifying the neoconservative war hawks who are now shilling for Democrats. https://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2025/03/02/how-a-washington-post-reporter-responded-to-cnn-scott-jennings-take-on-zelenskys-disastrous-wh-trip-n2653077 .
  11. Pentagon orders 3,000 additional troops to US-Mexico border by Chris Harris and Gabrielle Fahmy The Pentagon is sending about 3,000 more active-duty troops to the U.S.-Mexico border as President Donald Trump seeks to clamp down on illegal immigration and fulfill a central promise of his campaign, U.S. officials said Saturday. His defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, has ordered elements of a Stryker brigade combat team and a general support aviation battalion for the mission, the Pentagon announced. The forces will arrive along the nearly 2,000-mile border in the coming weeks. https://nypost.com/2025/03/01/us-news/pentagon-sends-additional-troops-to-the-us-mexico-border/ .
