So if I bought a pair of season tickets today...
DieHardFan replied to rockpile's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It may change this year but in past years the released seats are available to all takers. And even in years that there were plenty of tickets the release was never officially announced (but was usually leaked on the board shortly thereafter) and the choice seats were gone within a day. -
Will there be Tix available for the TBD Opener Tailgate
DieHardFan replied to taterhill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A couple of line items missing from Flanders rant are seats reserved for the opposing team and perk tickets for players, VIPs, Wilson's buddies, ghetto kid charity ... etc. Presuming (conservatively) that the total to be released is still > 4K and considering the fact that this group has loyally supported and bought group tickets for years; is their any chance of convincing these contacts to reserve 97 of the to be released tickets for the TDB Tailgate Opener group? -
Bills/Browns MNF tickets sold out...
DieHardFan replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There you go getting greedy again. Provide zonabb with the amount of money you wish to invest and sign a (collateral bound) contract wth him that he will double it. He gets to keep a third of the profits and his secret investment knowledge (which a scalping 'moron' would most likely never figure out anyways) and you double your money. Win Win. -
I've bought and sold from them. They are the middle man. You don't interact with the seller at all.Should be no problem. One caveat. They get 15% from the seller AND 10% plus shipping (in addition to the price you see) from the buyer. So if you deal with a trusted TBD'er who is going to list on SH you can save up to 25%. From their FAQ: The total amount of your StubHub ticket purchase equals: The full price of the tickets (or, for auction-style sales, the full amount of your winning bid), plus A commission equal to 10% of the full ticket price (or winning bid amount), and A delivery fee Shipping Services: $11.95 to $24.95 (depending upon where your tickets are being shipped and the shipping option you choose) eDelivery Services: $4.95 Last Minute Services: $15.00 The shipping fee pays for your FedEx shipment with our integrated tracking system, which helps ensure the seller ships your tickets and that you get them on time. To provide ticket pick-up as close to the venue as possible, the Last Minute Services fee helps cover the expense of the Last Minute Service Centers.

From the couple of tailgates I've been to it seems like there were at least 2 -3 times as many people there as there were tickets purchased. Many have seasons or don't want nosebleeds and get their own. No reason to think of cancelling the tailgate; it's an event in itself. If there were only 17 people buying I'm sure the TBD populace should be able to take care of them and at least one other (34 tickets isn't that many). Especially the OG members that I saw on the list. Some of the others were probably just non STHs doing a little speculating on there own. I'll give two of my extras at cost to make sure that those on the list can get in. I'm sure others will pitch in also. I'd suggest offering Cost plus 10% (they are giving up much more than that) and I'll bet you have enough contributers by Sunday. And I'm sure Hammer will give 25% off on parking to any who contibute. Right Hammer?

The Torch Has Been Officially Passed

Wouldn't it make more sense (an oxymoron I realize) if they would announce "Your'e NUTS if you are a Bills fan" or "We are NUTS for the Bills"? -
Single Game Seats for STH
DieHardFan replied to GhostsOfTheRockpile's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Got in after 32 minutes. Browns are extremely limited. Only have outers (328, 329, 396, 307) and to get 6 had to take 3 in one row, 3 in the next (same #). Didn't try opener but per SH this am thaere was less demand for that game than others. FWIW also got 6 in 332 for Raiders and 6 in 222 for Pats. Good luck everyone. -

Pardon me, I thought you were just ignorant but since you are cognizant of the situation that would make you either stupid ar just an ****. Then I ran across your post on the offwall http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=66862 and determined you must be both plus a hypocrite. Pay the gardener what he is worth you greedy bastard. Oh, and stay away from those nasty grass turpines, precious. Now I'll STFU. [Amazing how hostile waiting on hold will make you.] -

DieHardFan replied to GhostsOfTheRockpile's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're in the wrong thread for that type of moronic comment (unless I missed the sarcasm). Probably the same guy who wants to pay $10 for the games that aren't worth sh*t at the end of the season. If I'm wrong and you are man enough to back your words I'll look you up later in the season and sell you a couple for face value. In fact I'll cut you a deal on my pre-seasons right now. You can have them for 80% of face. Deal? -
Single Game Seats for STH
DieHardFan replied to GhostsOfTheRockpile's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
First thing: STFU Ralph. Finally got in online and in the $58 choice (best available) there are were only seats in sections 306, 317, and one other choice section. That was with 6 or 2 tickets. Got mid-section with $50 seats but when I went to check out it bounced me. Now waiting again to get in. Conspiracy part of me makes me wonder if the brokers who deal with TM all the time have the 1st shot, then the rest of us peons. -

What was the most painful Buffalo Loss
DieHardFan replied to Tonawanda Troy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I usually march to a diffrerent drummer and my reaction to this thread is no exception. All (that I saw) of these references are to close games. Is it really most painful to be in the hunt until the end and then lose? I would nominate the thumping we took by the patsies at home last year in front of a a national audience as the most painful loss. The smirks on their faces when touchdowns were scored on 4th down plays that would have been no brainer field goals still sting. I also don't understand why the crowd mentality paradign dictates that we yell the loudest when we are in the lead. Logic would dictate that it is more important for fans try to rally the team when they are in a hole and have to climb out. It's not like we are ameobas and can't use logic instead of knee jerk reaction. During the comeback game against the oilers the crowd led the rally. Today we get behind by a touchdown and the stairways are full. I like close games and love the ones we win. I HATE to get blown out especially when the crowd is full of mocking opponent fans. -
Ok, I can purchase the failed drive for $200 + shipping...
DieHardFan replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow. People are appreciative that the board exists and the work you do to maintain it; and it's just the nature of the game that ANY sys admin is an arrogant SOB. You're correct; it's amazing that no one has taken you to task that you ignored sys admin rule 101 - BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP. The board has (rightfully) praised you for your work and then you bait and then attack FSD who was only trying to help? Yeah your pride is hurt but no one was bashing you, only trying to help. Chill. It appears that online disks cost alot a month but saving data and OS infrastructure to an offsite drive (even if it means taking TBD down for a couple of hours periodically) would be affordable and would have saved you a shitload of time and effort. There are plenty of full time sys admins here that could (and I hope are doing offlne) help you set up a reliable BU strategy. No one says that you ask for too much money; it's quite the opposite, they ask if you will take it. Please do so and save us and you alot of angst. [Flame away or banish this but tell me what part was wrong first.] -

DieHardFan replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IM(never)HO the past is the past. If history is important to members and it's only $300-$500 set up the paypal link and I'm sure you will get it in < a week. More important is BACKUP. Funds should be gathered for a sister box and enough space/drives for a daily incremental and a weekly full backup with son/father/grandfather history. Plus mirroring. Pronto! -
Hmmm. Seems like cheap shot boy speaks with forked tongue. eg1 : http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?act=f...&pid=969155 [Original Take] eg2: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?act=f...&pid=968587 Right. Given the context of the comment it was NOTHING but a MAJOR insult. C'mon. Basically, he said Paul Williams is: Short Gay Even by-passing the homophobic overtones, how is that NOT a vicious personal attack? Play it over and over again and listen. He launched a vicious attack against poor Paul, plain and simple. [An apology is not enough; Alert Rosie O'Donnell and fire him! ] Free speech is undervalued until it's you.

From the Group Sales Q&A: Q: When do group tickets go on sale? A: The 2007 on sale date is to be determined. There is not a guarantee that all games will be available on this date because season ticket holders have the first opportunity to purchase individual game tickets. Q: What is the minimum number of tickets I have to purchase to receive group incentives? A: The minimum to receive group incentives is 15 tickets for the same game. Based on the above it's unlikely there will be many left for group sales and you'll need to get 15. Your best bet is to get some Season Tix Holders to buy what you need in groups of 2 -4 or hit another game.

NFL.com headline article says they plan to stream the schedule announcement but only video links are all canned segments (was nice to find those though). Anyone see where the link to the feed is? BTW vote for our buddy Cleo Lemon as the most likely fin starting QB if you go to the site.

Miami visits in December!!!
DieHardFan replied to Tortured Soul's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We get them in December and just as important they don't get us in the 100% Humidity / 100 Degree season. Plus stone crabs are in season. About time the schedule coin landed right. -
If Imus is smart he will have two numbers for his marathon. One to keep him and one to can him. Both sides will want to be the winner and either way the ranch profits.

Actually you would be paying him for the privilege of being his offsite backup storage facility.
