Goin to my first Bills game vs the Browns
DieHardFan replied to Drew026's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Assuming you are going back to Rochester take Rt 20 to intersection of California road and go left. Several lots to choose from. Easy walk out (all downhilll). Faster than lots closer to stadium or in yards since cops man the light at the intersection and you can easily get into the northbound flow . [Hammers is South of stadium.] -
Same thoughts here. Plus from the little I've seen SD has been an uneven team this year. I think today was as good as they will ever be and nowhere near their nadir. BTW: Saw Gumbel/Dierdorf and immediately thought of Dumbledorf!

how the hell is Arizona favored over us?

Be quiet and count your blessings. Only thing the last 10 years are good for is playing possum. A small morsel not to be wasted. -
So I was working in the Boston area this week...

That's illegal according to the putsie website. Makes the Bills front office seem almost friendly. Link Season Ticket Holders Information All season ticket sales are final and no refunds or exchanges will be made. Season ticket accounts can not be transferred or split. ...Tickets obtained from sources other than the New England Patriots or their authorized agents may well be tickets that have been reported lost or stolen, or have been illegally resold, and in such cases will not be honored. Season Ticket Renewals In Future Years Season ticket sales in future seasons are subject to any changes, limitations, and/or deadlines that the Patriots may adopt. The purchase of season tickets for 2006 does not entitle a season ticket holder to purchase season tickets in any subsequent year. Without in any way limiting its rights, the Patriots organization expressly reserves the right to (1) change season ticket policies and prices at any time and for any reason; (2) apply changes differently to different persons or entities, including without limitation persons who are engaged in reselling tickets (whether licensed to do so or not); and (3) charge an administrative fee in connection with any approved change in season ticket holder account information; and (4) refuse to sell future season tickets to any individual or entity, including, but not limited to, individuals or entities that: fail to comply with any applicable payment deadline or other condition or restriction, whether in effect at present or in the future; resell tickets to third parties (whether licensed to do so or not); engage in a dispute relating to the identity of the season ticket holder of record; engage in improper conduct, including but not limited to, possessing any of the prohibited items or engaging in any of the prohibited conduct described below; or permit use of their tickets(s) by an individual who engages in improper conduct, including but not limited to, possessing any of the prohibited items or engaging in any of the prohibited conduct described below. BEHAVIOR POLICY/PROHIBITED CONDUCT The Patriots strictly prohibit and will not tolerate the following behavior, which is cause for ejection and loss of season ticket privileges, and may be cause for arrest and prosecution: selling or otherwise distributing alcoholic beverages or any other drug or intoxicant: entering upon the playing field; loitering in the aisles; engaging in rowdy, profane, abusive, inconsiderate, drunken, or other inappropriate behavior; reselling tickets to third parties; causing property damage. -
Requests for tickets should be posted in the Trading Post section. The mod there gets quite upset when requests are posted here.

Depends on what level you are talking about. Did alot of selling of my extra seasons at Abbott until I caught on to stubhub and got to see their operation in action. There is a main guy who holds and coordinates things and a bunch of runners who are the hawkers. They buy if they see a sure deal and draw potentials to the holder. If you walk up Rt 20 towards the Lot 5 entrance you probably see the guy the rides the bike up and down. He is one of the runners for the guy at Abbott and the main crosswalk (by the scoreboard). The runners may also try to intimidate a vocal single seller (especially if you monitor their deal and offer to undercut them) but won't push it if they get any resistance. They will cut in on a single sellers deal with no reservations. The main guy gets on his cell every once in a while to check other locations (I'm not sure if they are peers or subs). Will also make calls if someone ids looking for a special section to check the other guy's inventory. There was more than one main guy but they usually don't grab the same corner. Whether the mains are connected in some way I don't know. Looked basically like the same mo as dealing drugs at the corner with the hawk altered for the audience. One thing to watch out for. Last year I sold once (guy couldn't make game and wanted to split selling price) and was chased off by the cops. Said that it was Bills property and could not sell there (even on the sidewalk?). Circled around and when the rollypoly who warned me saw me again got her other donut eating buddy and told me they would bust me if they saw me again. Sold them shortly after so I don't know if they actually do make arrests.

you are incorrect sir. the guys with the I NEED TICKETS signs are the people selling tickets. You're both right. Probably the first and only time you'll ever see that on this board!

Not really, it could be a transvestite pig. [is this really Pyrite Gal with a 1 sentence post?]

Hmmm, the raiders are a putz team that isn't going anywhere, same with the rams. Maybe we would be better off throwing those games so we can stay under the radar and take the cardinals by surprise.

[EDIT] Lane Kiffen expected to be fired!
DieHardFan replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Either way the speculation and Ryan's rant on the pregame show(s) provide plenty of fodder for this weekends signs. [Hint: To thwart the sign police turn the written sides of two signs inward and tape the the two together so it looks like a blank sheet. Worked in week 1 ] -
Hey Dean, saw spatterings here and there but seeing you post three times on the 1st page of a thread I know you're on your way back. Are you on full release or did they just loosen the straight jacket enough to allow you to type? [i kid.] I'll know you're back in prime form once those avatars start to morph regularly.

Alright. Real commentary and from one of the re-emerging legacy Wallers. [Almost Lori stuff although it did have the brevity of Pyrite Gal.] Hope the Bills's rise is coinciding with the rebirth of sanity on the Wall.

Ed Hochuli just hosed the Chargers. Bad.
DieHardFan replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No excuse for the replay equipment not working especially since CBS had feeds which could have been used. However for the record they reviewed the play during halftime of the Pitt game and it looks like it was a simultaneous catch and would not have been turned over. Also not denying that SD got screwed by early whistle but I give Hochuli credit for being upfront about making a FU instead of trying to excuse his way out of it. They followed the rules after acknowledging the FU and the rules are what suck. The worst call was Shanahan's. He was lucky that the low percentage gamble worked out. -
Bills predicted to loose 31-9
DieHardFan replied to BLZFAN4LIFE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No it means they are going to loose 31 cans of whoop-azz and 9 sacks mr wize guy. As to the topic Blzfan4life intended I'll know this team is on it's way once the inferiority complex kneejerks that happen everytime someone 'dis's' the Bills cease. Too early in the season to know where either team is at this point but I'd certainly take the Bills if provided with that point spread. But more important presuming the Bills are going to have a breakout year the longer they can hide under the cover of their past poor play and chokes the better. Stealth is better than brazen especially when a team is just climbing out of mediocrity. -
Will there be Tix available for the TBD Opener Tailgate
DieHardFan replied to taterhill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, I have 4 in the front row that you can have for face value. -
Yeah, that would be terrible.

Got a letter from Toronto today...
DieHardFan replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Instead of thanking you they could have made fun of you for paying face value for a ticket that was worth $10 at the gate. Ingrate! -
So much for the new "code of conduct"...
DieHardFan replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with the sentiment but not with the conclusion. In the 90's things were so unrestricted that you could bring in a thermos of your favorite beverage, and easily sneak in a 6 pack if you wished. I even was allowed to bring in a the materials for makeshift shelf that hung on the rail. Not the ideal components for a game crowd but IMO the crowds were not much worse (granted much of this was the lack of the MEism mentality that exists today). Your section enforced it's code of conduct and the only security that was really needed was the guys holding the dogs the keep people from rushing the field. Since then PC & Greed under the guise of 9/11 and 'family atmosphere' has eliminated not only the alcohol in the thermos but even soda and water (unless Ralph makes it) and of course that terrorist tool the thermos itself. When no one yelled loud enough they banned food, backpacks (even if they are the same size and clarity of a plastic bag, that is allowed) and even camera cases for a period. Signs are screened at the gate (some for the heinous crime of criticizing Bills management), shirts are banned, hell you can't even bounce a beach ball around. You can be banned for "foul" language or "bad" behavior even if you are not present but give your ticket to the wrong person (no due process in the NFL Nation). Spontaneous" fan response is staged (watch the MNF crews make the sections they highlight during the post commercial shots practice their cheering and then pre-tape it to prevent something happening that they don't endorse; sad but amusing). The NFL is perfectly capable of reaching their goal of making the 'stadium experience' equivalent to a golf match. Hell, they've brainwashed people into judging the caliber of a fan by how much money the idiot spends on an overpriced jersey (and remember you're not a true fan unless it's an OFFICIAL NFL jersey, any card carrying snob will point out and mock an identical knock-off with the intensity of a Body Snatcher pointing out an inferior human). Start throwing out a few of those nasty standers and everyone else will fall into line. As someone near me said yesterday in 20 years the stands will contain nothing but (presumably well behaved and money laden) women and children. -

So I guess you think about others before you spew your vile or put them in the emergency room (not an exageration to prove your point I'm sure). To paraphase Jeff Foxworthy: If you make comments like this you may be are an intolerant self righteous whiner that believes the world revolves around them. It's even sadder that you actually believe you are being tolerant. If you are self delusional enough to rationalize (to yourself) that this is not hypocritical please amuse us with your thought process. [EDIT: Sorry lets_go_bills didn't see your post before duplicating your point.] -
Early in the game the weather was not a real factor and most of his passes were overthrows. Since this was the 1st real game of the season and he had limited preseason play looked to me more like the adrenaline was kicking in.

Do you find Ray Lewis annoying?

Ray Lewis is a cheap seats version of Mr T. -
Jauron is Bill's headcoach in 2009 IF

The Bills don't charge full price
DieHardFan replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Another viewpoint: Link Post #5 If I remember correctly my PS-STs still listed $70 as the price. If they want to discount the PSTs list $10 as their price. -
Good point. The route outlined was based on the newspaper article that said the constuction right around the stadium was to have been completed prior to Thursday's game. Hopefully it will be completed by the 7th. The only remaining constuction noted was the 1 lane squeeze at the 20/219 intersection. I am most concerned with an easy nortbound exit and the lot I use is on California. Would not think that using lot 1/hammers would be conducive to an easy Nortbound exit but have never tried it. Others would have to relay their experience about the ease of a northbound escape from that area.
