Au Contraire. It was all about doing some damage control to soften TO's image. IMO the ultimate PR coup. Those weren't assistants; they are his PR team (by title) who just happen to be his friends. Get paid to get out PR that your client/friend isn't a self-centered SOB all the time, just when evil TO takes over. {They even differentiate between the media whore TO and his kind hearted insightful alter ego Terrell}. It's not his fault he's he was the product of a broken home and a father that didn't even acknowledge him until he was nine. He's trying to get into a serious relationship but his demons make him fear commitment. Poor TO, I mean Terrell. Plus the PR hos got plenty of camera time and reality recognition minutes (which should translate into higher fees and additional clients). Wouldn't be surprised to see VH1 spin off a TO Chance of Love with his dumb azz bodyguard as the MC. Gotta love it!

Theoretically of course, if you had a mod who happened to capture all games anyways and he burned an ISO right after each Qtr and FTP'd it to a server somewhere you'd get the games virtually free and much faster. Of course you'd have to FF through the commercials yourself and you'd be denying the poor NFL their $40 so the tradeoff may not be worth it to you. Or if this same theoretical mod had a HD slingbox ...

Try justin.tv. Primarily a lifecasting site but usually can find someone uploading the games. Not sure if you have to sign up but I don't believe there is more than an email validation wait to do so. Do search for NFL Preseason and there are some recent games being rebroadcast now. A few caveats: It's a peer-to-peer set-up and the uplink user probably will have allegiance to their team. Plus almost all users with any following have mods. Boorish TBD-like behavior will most likely get you banned.

Great news! Not only does the NFL back down they also throw DirecTV under the bus. The deal spans 10 years and would cost Comcast 40 cents to 45 cents per subscriber, down from the NFL's previous asking price of 70 cents. By Aug. 1, the NFL Network will be carried throughout Comcast's service areas on a programming package called Digital Classic, which has around 10 million subscribers.
