  1. Sorry, to me the phins are yesterday's news. What we did to them in the playoffs back in the Glory Days and their current state make up for the '70's. Gotta quit livin' in the past. I hate the Patriots more now.
  2. Well that's great, but unimportant, I want to know the odds on who gets the first TD reception with his shoe untied, while falling on his ass in triple coverage, and catching the ball by getting it stuck in his facemask.
  3. I don't think I'd put Brady at 3rd best QB of all time. But I would place him among the top Big Game QB's of all time. Brady is not the most talented QB and even he admits that. Brady is a clutch QB that always comes up big in important games. I would rank him up there with Montana, Bradshaw, Staubach...Not the most talented group of QB's but the group of QB's that were like machines out there, never making mistakes. That's how I think of Brady, anyway.
  4. Late Night TV has never been the same since he retired. RIP Johnny!
  5. That's true, maybe I'll actually root for the Pats, that way they'll probably lose.
  6. As long as he has a "high motor", I'm fine with that.
  7. Biggest choker in this year's playoffs? Gotta be Edwards. The way he called the game at the end against Pittsburgh was unforgivable. He single handedly blew that game.
  8. This is the most asinine post I have ever read. I only wish our QB's sucked as bad as Brady apparently does. Then maybe we would have 2 SB championships and headed towards a third. I hope too, that JP turns out to be a great QB but give me a break. I don't think there are many, if any, Bills fans that are rooting for him, but most of us sure do respect him and what he has done in such a short period of time. System or not, he's the one running the system.
  9. Wow! You're right, I looked at several teams (not all) and I can't find one team that had a great draft with more than just one or two solid picks in there that are still with their drafting teams.
  10. That's exactly my point and he was one I was thinking of when I wrote this. Personally I like Posey, he doesn't make the big plays like Fletcher and Spikes but he gets his job done quietly. Very seldom does he make major mistakes.
  11. You can't have All Pros at every position. You do need some average to above average players, too.
  12. I don't know why you would get rid of Wire, not a very good safety but an excellent special teams player. Can still use Denney as a backup, I wouldn't get rid of him unless we brought in a free agent. Pucillo they'll keep for depth until someone else works out, whether it be a free agent or rookie. Reed will still be around this year, I don't see them dropping him yet.
  13. As much as I would love to see Cowher kick the snot out of Bellichek, I don't see it happening. The Patriots are very good at just getting it done, if the Defense is having an off day, the offense does the job. If the offense is hurting, the defense comes up big. You have to admit the Pats are the team to beat. Getting this far once may be luck (Tuck Rule), but this is the third time in this position in four years. That's no longer considered luck, they are a very good team. Whether its because of BB, TB, the Defense, whatever, until someone knocks them off, they are the best. And guess what, even if they lose this game, I bet they are considered the favorites again when the season opens up next year.
  14. In fact, I haven't seen Friends in quite awhile and my son had it on last night and that was the episode that was on.
  15. Very good post Bart! Before anyone blasts Milloy on this, please ask yourself these questions. Milloy wants to take care of his family as they are currently cared for, I don't blame him for that. My income has increased over the past several years and because of that so has my lifestyle. I'm not going to take less from my company, and if they don't want to pay me what I feel I'm worth, I'll look for another job.
  16. The most memorable game I've ever been to. I'd sure like to go to one of those again.
  17. Agree, I thought NE was unbelievable in this game, both offensively and defensively. That was nearly the perfect game. If they continue like this, Pitt, Philly or Atlanta will not stand a chance. For next year, this was the game to try and find a weakness to exploit.
  18. I don't think this is Jerry Gray's year. He's still young and needs more experience IMO. If he has another good year with the Defense next year I'd expect him to get a job in 2007 or 08. I'd be more afraid of him leaving for a college job than an NFL HC job.
  19. Hate to break this to you, but I see the Pats going all the way now. I don't like it, but I think they're definitely the team to beat now that they took care of the Colts. I don't see another offense giving them any trouble and Brady just seems to get the job done on offense. He doesn't look spectacular but he does it with workmanlike professionalism.
  20. If we get him then we have two unproven young QB's. We still need a decent vet to be a back up. Harrington will go to someone and start soon or backup up an aging vet like Favre to be groomed as a starter. Why would we want Harrington if we already have JP? I'll take Bledsoe as a backup to Losman.
  21. I have faith that no matter what he decides people here will be bitching up a storm about it.
  22. No because with the Broncos win in the last game that would have kept them above the Bills I think. In order for us to have finished 5th, the Jets and Broncs needed to lose.
  23. Minnesota over Philly, without Owens Philly seems to be no better than an average team. Atlanta over St. Louis. Indianapolis over New England, without James' fumbles in the first game this year, Indy would have won and that was with a healthy NE. Pittsburgh over NY. Atlanta over Minnesota Pittsburgh over Indy. Superbowl Pittsburgh over Atlanta
  24. Instead of 45-24 it would have been Indy 38-13. Face it, Buffalo can not compete with the best teams in the league, yet.
