  1. whiz That was pretty good, you two had the same answer at the same time.
  2. I don't think Everett was going to be an impact player this year anyway. At best he was going to be a situational player. I still think Euhus will be our guy at TE this year.
  3. Although, I tend to agree that we're not going to make the playoffs this year, I would rank Buffalo among those teams you have listed, except for New England and Indianapolis which I believe are a lot better than us. The Bills have just as much of a chance as the rest.
  4. I just got a Bills Direct Alert on it, too. I guess its official now. I guess any minute now someone will chime in with a V Coach alert. Good thing the Bills are really getting the news out there quickly.
  5. Our third round pick last year was Anderson and he was inactive for 12 games. I know its a little different, as he doesn't have the kind of players Anderson had playing in front of him, but its not a huge loss for the Bills. I feel more sorry for Everett himself than I do the Bills.
  6. I don't think everyone saw the entire quote in context from JP. And if you all did, I don't find anything wrong at all with what he's saying. From yesterday's Rochester D & C, he said he was getting tired of people comparing him negatively to Johnson. He didn't just come out of the blue and say his parents were blue collar workers. Here's an excerpt from the article: Most fans applauded the decision to get rid of Bledsoe and turn the keys over to the inexperienced Losman now. Being a starting quarterback is a dream come true for the 2004 first-round pick out of Tulane University. He is working hard to make sure it doesn't become a nightmare. "The recognition and feedback I've received when I've been out and about in Buffalo has been amazing," he says. "I'm having fun with it, but I'm reminded that I haven't done anything yet and that this all can disappear if I don't produce this fall. That's why I've been spending so much time with coach (Sam) Wyche in the film room. I don't want to leave anything for chance." About the only negative so far has been the negative comparisons to another quarterback from southern California who played for the Bills — Rob Johnson. "At first, it didn't bother me much," says Losman, a native of Venice, Calif. "But lately it's become annoying and is said to me in a put-down way. I can assure you I'm not Rob Johnson. I come from a working-class environment. My dad poured concrete for a living and my mother worked two jobs. I just wish people would give that comparison a rest."
  7. Thanks for the update Lori! Greatly appreciated from us out of towners.
  8. To be honest with you, if you look at LA's Contest thread, there aren't too many optimistic Bills fans out there. Most of us are picking them to be average. I think its just the way your attitude came out of your post that pissed people off.

  10. If he's not traded, my bet is he holds out throughout most of Training Camp if not all of it. He'll probably be back for the regular season games or at least most of them. I don't see him holding out for 10 games.
  11. $150 Bond? What did he do, break her fingernail? Not making light of the situation, just think that $150 bond is awfully low for domestic violence.
  12. I disagree, JP starts no matter how putrid he may play in the preseason. However, the worse he plays in preseason will determine how much of a leash he is put on during the regular season. If he flat out sucks in pre season, the leash will be a short one.
  13. I haven't read the other responses yet, but I would think because of how Holcomb played in Cleveland, with what he had, if the coaches think we are getting our behinds kicked because of JP, I don't they'd hesitate to put in Holcomb. If its a close game or the defense and ST aren't playing up to par either, my guess is they leave JP in there to battle back.
  14. I have a friend who's father was in the printing business and during the latter stages of that game they were quickly printing out T-shirts, sweatshirts and pennants. After the game they were supposed to destroy all of them or something, well they kept a few for themselves for nostalgias sake. That would have been cool to get one of those. I wonder if this pennant is one of theirs.
  15. Since that interview where Willis said those "Famous Last Words" in your sig, I thought the same thing. To be honest, I really don't care for his attitude. It seems like he's a "me" first type of player and could give a sh_t about the Bills. He won't be here more than a few years, he'll hold out next year if he has a good season this year.

  17. This thread has really gotten me to thinking when will I be so pissed at TD that I want him gone. He has done many good things for us and some bad all of which are debated above. Please remember that he is also President, so in reality, I don't think what we the fans think about TD matters one whit to Wilson. I do not expect to make the playoffs this year. I think that will be too difficult with a 1st year starter (I know the whole Big Ben scenario from last year, so I know its not impossible, its just improbable). So unless this team drops back to 3-13 or 2-14 or just something horrendous like that, I would give this year a pass. But looking ahead to 2006, I not only expect to make the playoffs, but I fully expect to be a competitor for the SB. That means either a Division title or a very close record to whoever wins the AFC East. And if we go in as a Wild Card, a decisive win in that game. With one year with JP starting and if the defense still remains among the best (and it should), this team will have absolutely no excuse in 2006. Basically, I'm giving TD a pass this year. The coaching staff looks like it is going to be a good one. We have the players, the only question is at the most important position on the team. Since we did not do a whole lot with the OLine, I'm putting all blame on the OLine on the coaches, its obvious they feel we have the talent to put together a decent Line. I think this year we start out slow as JP and the OLine get up to speed, 3-5 in the beginning, but finish strong at 6-2 to finish up with a 9-7 record, missing the playoffs.
  18. Ouch, that does hurt. You wouldn't think Buffalo and Jacksonville should be in that company.
  19. I was surprised too at how many are still with the team, especially in the last 2 drafts. Still, you're right, it would be nice if more of them were starters.
  20. The Bills' drafts with TD, as I said, I'm okay with his drafts. 2001 Rd Sel# Player Pos.
