  1. Funny, I don't remember having an All Pro at left tackle last year. I may be the only one that thinks this, but IMHO, JJ was an average Lineman who was hurt half the time. Why anyone would pay that much money for him, kills me. If Gandy is just average at the position we'll be fine.
  2. Thats where I listened to it from. Worked great, thanks for the link udonkey.
  3. If you're heading to Chattanooga from Charlotte, DO NOT miss the Blue Ridge Parkway! Very beautiful area of the country. If you're going through the mountains, check out Asheville and the Biltmore Estate.
  4. So much for Mularkey, he obviously doesn't know what he's talking about and knows nothing about how horrible Gandy was while at Chicago! At least thats what I hear around here.
  5. Sorry, I don't look at only the record to see if TD is doing a decent job or not. I see a lot of good things in the future for the Bills and a lot of that has to do with TD. Things that others mentioned like attendance, the drafts, etc. This team is on the rise and its not just us "Homer" fans that think so, just look around the national media. They also like where the Bills are going even though many don't think it will happen this year. If you get rid of TD now, we'll be alright for a couple of seasons due to the talent on the current roster, but after that its a crapshoot. TD's biggest mistake was hiring GW, he went with the guy that had the strongest interview. I can't really blame him for that either, how many of us in management go with the candidate that has the strongest interview? Even the Bledsoe trade was good with respect to fan excitement and such. And by the way, this "Homer" fan does not see the Bills making the playoffs this year. I'm thinking 9-7 and just missing again.
  6. I could be wrong, but I don't think that was a weekday game. For some reason I'm thinking that one was a Saturday, because I remember going outside right after the game and we were playing street hockey and bitching about the loss. IIRC, that shot by Park could have been stopped by Mike Ramsey but he ducked (OK so he would have had his head taken off, but the game would have still went on. )
  7. I love it when people are asked what three GM's they would rather have and the say the GM's of NE, Philly, and Indy. The three GM's that there is no way in hell we would ever get. Don't forget Polian had a falling out with Wilson, so that will never happen again. How about naming three GM's you would rather have that may be possible to get your hands on. I'm okay with a GM who I consider easily in the top 5.
  8. Its disappointing to pick that late, but in hockey if you're not one of the top 3, the draft really doesn't help right away. That's why I was wondering about Free Agency, hopefully Buffalo gets some good players there. At least someone to bring the fans back.
  9. When does Free Agency start?
  10. This is completely different than football. And I really wouldn't count Ben as someone that will help save a franchise.
  11. I hope Pittsburgh does get him, they need some serious help too.
  12. OK, so lets hear everybody start saying the fix was in.
  13. I'll say Chicago, and not because it is fixed, just because that's the way the ball bounces.
  14. That was Awesome! If that doesn't get you ready for the season, nothing will!
  15. Bullsh*t!!! It would be a bit different if this was the 5th or 6th year in a seven year deal. But he just signed this LAST year. He cried about going to the Ravens last year to become an Eagle, now he's crying about that. What an !@#$!
  16. Can't have an All-Pro at every position. In many positions you're only going to have average players.
  17. I was trying to figure out that one-liner too. What the hell is he trying to say? There was nothing in the article that he is referring to that says anything about Mularkey. Or am I somehow misreading what this ass has to say?
  18. Yes, Cleveland signed him.
  19. Very few teams have a backup running back capable of putting up the same numbers as the starter. This is nothing new in the NFL. Back in the early 90's Buffalo, relied on Thurman for not only running a lot but being an integral part of the passing game. You can't change your style just because you don't have a backup of the same caliber as your starter. It would have been a luxury to have to staring quality running backs but with Henry's attitude, you knew that was not going to happen.
  20. Agree with you on that one. Jacksonville is going to be tough this year and has a very strong possibility at the playoffs, while Tennessee is basically in a rebuilding year (although they don't see it that way). But either way it would be nice to see this saga finally over.
  21. Don't forget with the salary cap, the Red Wings and others are going to be losing a few quality players, so they should have a chance at getting a potential quality player in return. I believe Detroit's payroll was about 77 Million, so they lose about 40 Million in salaries this year, thats gotta hurt.
  22. "Cat Sacrifice Night at HSBC Arena" Would that draw the fans back?
  23. I'm starting to believe that Fred Taylor is on his last legs and this may be his final year as a starter (if he even does that this year). So if TH signs with Jax, he is probably also thinking it would be a good place to be for his future not just this year.
